I've never had the desire to review a dentist before, but had to with this place.
I was looking for a new dentist since I moved too far away from my previous dentist, and this place was close, had hours that were good for my work schedule and took my dental insurance.
I made my appointment for a Saturday morning, which was great for me. The lady I spoke to emailed me the forms I needed to bring on my first visit and both the time she told me on the phone and in the email was 10:30am. I pulled into their parking lot at 10:25am and saw my phone ringing, it was her, asking me if I'd forgotten about my 10am appointment. I said no...I thought it was at 10:30. She said they had it down for 10 but it was "ok, cause they had time to see me still" making me seem like I was mistaken. I checked the email again before walking in to make sure I wasn't crazy, it said 10:30.
The woman who did my cleaning was friendly and did a good job, so I have no complaints about her whatsoever, which is the ONLY reason I'm giving this place 2 stars.
After my cleaning was done I was sent to the office, where I was told I had to come back to see the dentist, since there wasn't one there that day. They didn't apologize or suggest this was uncommon, so I assume it's like that every Saturday. Obviously, if I'd known the dentist wouldn't be in the office during my appointment; i would have made an appointment for when he would be, since it's not my idea of fun to go to the dentists office twice in one week.
I go back 4 days later so the dentist can finally see me. Walk in, smile at the receptionist behind the closed glass screen, who doesn't acknowledge me at all, and sit and wait for 20 minutes. Then an unpleasant assistant walks me to the room so I can be seen. The dentist spends 5 minutes looking at my X-rays and in my mouth, says everything is ok but I need a mouth guard for when I sleep, which they can make for me there. Since I don't want to spend a bunch of money on something I might not need I decline, he seems annoyed and asks if I'm "just going to let the situation get worse" I say yes and I'll come back if necessary. The Unpleasant assistant then asks if I want to make my 6 month cleaning appointment, I politely decline.
I obviously have no intentions of coming back here, as the whole experience was frustrating and unpleasant. And i purchased a mouth guard on amazon for $20. My previous dentist might be worth the hour drive after all.... read more
