I waited over an hour just for the exam, are you kidding me? I've worn glasses since first grade and I've never waited that long. Then I waited over 2 weeks to get the glasses. I left 2 messages to ask what's up and no one bothered to called back. If you have a question about your order, they only have voicemail, and for that (press #3 ) no one EVER answers. If they already have your money, they ain't calling back til the order comes in. My order was over a $1000 so you'd think they'd at least call, right?) My boyfriend really liked the diversity of the business! He had made an appointment online and everything went smoothly. His appointment was right on time and he enjoyed how thorough his exam was. Amy was super sweet when helping us pick out glasses. She was able to give us a variety of prices from what our insurance had covered. I have really enjoyed being a patient of this office. The drs was out and I had a "stand in dr that helped me with my eye exam and glasses. He was so friendly I had no idea he wasn't the regular eye Dr. The whole staff are just wonderful! I can't tell you how well they treat you, you just have to go and find out for yourself. I had an issue with my glasses and the regular dr was back, took me in and redid my test and they did exactly what I needed so I could see properly out of my glasses. I've never had such wonderful care from an eye Dr! I loved them so much, my other half went in and they just happened to have a no-show and got him in as well. He loves his glasses too! We've also referred a couple friends. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone. I had to take my husband here because he injured his eye and I wanted him to be seen by an eye specialist. The staff and Dr here are friendly and very professional. My husband, who is allergic to going to medical appointments, also had a great experience and even returned on his own for his annual eye exam. My family has been seeing Dr. Kim for years. My husband purchased a $600 pair of Nike "indestructible" glasses from the eye glass place. They snapped in half. When I went in to discuss with them. She immediately became defensive. Didn't offer any solutions, said that she doesn't use the word "indestructible" and kept repeating that the frames were only warrantied for a year. Dr. Kim and his staff are amazing! They are very helpful. They are courteous. They are personable. They are good-looking. Most of them have been working there for a few years. That says a lot about the doctor and the working environment. I've never had an issue with their service or attentiveness. Their prices are very fair. I never feel like they try to pressure me for any extra services or products. Dr. Kim has a very nice demeanor, which helps put you at ease after someone just finished poking around in your eyeball. I'm just kidding. They don't poke you in the eyeballs. I never dread my appointments with Dr. Kim and his clinic. I and my family have been going there for about ten years. read more

I gave Trinity a call and they were very friendly and professional. A few minutes later I was in the office and they were quickly repairing them and did not even except payment for the work! I've been using O.D. Kim for a few years and things were very good, until the last two years. Year before last they took some pictures of my eye lids (supposedly my eye lids...I can't say if they were or were not actually my eye lids, but...) and of course the bad news is I have these microscopic critters eating my eyelashes away. That was the bad news...the good news was for about $400 and 3 or 4 trips, each trip about a week apart, they would exterminate the little monsters. I refused that expensive nothing burger offer. Next year the same promo. No not falling for it this year either, guess what...still got eye lashes! The BIG issue is in the next paragraph, though...read on. This office has gone from what seemed like a truly caring and concerned enterprise to a money grabbing pick pocket organization. But, what really turned me away, other than their pick pocket antics, is that on my last visit my contact prescription was changed. The problem was, I did not pay attention to the new prescription. The trial contacts given to me were from two different manufacturers, both of which irritated my eyes. However, I had some remaining contacts from the previous years prescription, but after those contacts were all used, I purchased contacts with this years (2017) prescription. That's when I saw what happened, O.D. Kim was setting up to charge more on my next yearly visit. My contact prescription is for 'Mono Vision', I have not had a need for ANY glasses, reading, distance, etc. for almost 25 years until this last prescription from O.D. Kim...now I am using some Dollar General cheaters for reading. Best advice, go somewhere else. Very pleasant office staff. I know they are doing what it takes to protect their future employment with Trinity Vision, I just don't think they see things from any other perspective. read more

Took my 9 yr old who failed his pediatrics optical test during his wellness exam. Which put the fear of God in him about eye doctors for some reason . We saw the doctor with the white hair not Dr Kim . He was like visiting grandpa ! He was EXCELLENT at calming him down . He was very through and we didn't even need glasses ! Assistant was equally as sweet. They even had a kids area all 3 chilled while I got my eyes examed ! read more

Dr. Lee is a thoughtful and kind ophthalmologist. He is extremely knowledgeable about the eye and he does not talk down to you. He explains everything in a courteous manner. My wife and I moved to Boerne about a year ago, we are both avid contact and eyeglass wearers. Upon moving to a new city it can be hard to find an good optometrist that you trust and confidently place your eye care in their hands. This optometrist office does exactly that, they have fast service with ordering vision equipment, office hours are convenient and the staff makes you fee at home. Dr.Justin Kim is my eye doctor at this location and he did a very thorough job evaluating my vision, especially with my high stigmatism. This place has our business as long as we live in Boerne, and I would welcome anyone who wants great eye care to check this place out. read more

No thank you...I will never go back there again. The office manager was very disrespectful when I went to them due to a problem that occurred when the doctor prescribed the wrong size contacts. She tried to pin the blame on me stating "you are the one who wanted those contacts, and they don't come in the correct size you need". If one of the "medical staff" had explained this to me when I ordered my contacts I would had obviously gone with another brand. Please beware if you or one of your family members go there....it took 2 months to cure painful infiltrates, or "ulcers" on my eye from ill fitting contacts. read more

I changed eye doctors recently, with them a year mostly for my son. When I went there I was told my perscription changed, it hasn't in 5 years. So I ordered new glasses and lenses. After I got my glasses I could not see out of them at all, brought in my old pair to compare, reperscibed something new, still couldn't see. So I did not need new glasses or new perscription. They said nothing was refundable, and I could get my old perscription, I explained that I don't need another pairs of glasses with the same percription. Left them the new pair and said I had to go and they said they would figure something out. Next thing I know the police department calls me and tells me i'm harrassing them and not to go back or call, what a business! And the police said they would refund me the money. If that was the case, why call the police? Now I have to deal with the insurance issues since my yearly benefits are now messed up. Doctor Kim seems ok, the office managers and eyeglass sales people are horrible. Very unprofessional and proven by the course of action they took, very childish. Just a bunch of used car salesman with over inflated egos. My first review that's negative, don't like to do negatives but I cannot believe the head ache these people caused me. My exam went fine and the doctor and front desk staff were nice enough. When it came time to order my glasses, I was asked no questions and given no options. My bill (with insurance and NO new frames) was more than I've ever paid for new frames without insurance! I waited patiently for my EOB after I never received a call back from Trinity Vision Center and come to find out that my lenses were upgraded with all kinds of extras not covered by insurance and definitely not discussed with me. I felt as if I'd been mugged. With so many options in Boerne, we will be taking our business to a more honest establishment next year. read more
