Riverside Home Health and Hospice misrepresented themselves. On the paperwork that we signed to…read morereceive care for my father it plainly stated it was a 24/7 hospice. The supposed director of the business, Rob Anderson, came to our home and he couldn't answer basic questions we had. My father needed some care one morning. When my mother called to request some help they said they were in a meeting and could not arrive for 3 1/2 hours. My mom told them she needed someone right away. They finally said they would send out a nurse who had previously come to our house. My mom told them she didn't want this nurse coming out to the house because she said before she couldn't move my father by herself. My mother was very upset at this point. I called and talked to Rob who then told me they weren't a 24/7 hospice. I told them they were fired and requested they send my dad;s info to another hospice provider. When the other hospice came out they were flabbergasted about how my dad was being cared for and immediately got hime on a stronger pain medication. My dad was on what we later found out was supposed to be a temporary pain medication. The hospice doctor should have changed it but failed to do so. Rob said the doctors were ER doctors at Three Rivers Medical Center which should have raised reg flags. Their ER doctors are horrible. The hospice was supposed to provide certain things for end of life care but did not. I do not recommend this "so called" hospice to anyone. My father suffered unnecessary due to their negligence.
