    Cookie skillet

This place is a hidden gem. The food was delicious. The loaded fries and jem burger had so much flavor. The best part of our time was the mouth watering cookie skillet. If you're in the neighborhood you have to give this place a shot!

It's a nice pub. They have a pool table and darts, and big screen TV's. A jukebox which can pay for music, and also you can even download the touch tunes and select and pay for your music that way. We were there on a Saturday night and it was empty. Around 10pm people started strolling in.

Added a star!! Karaoke on Friday nights. Too. Much. Fun! They also have a new "Boxing"machine. Talk about getting your frustrations out at the end of the week! Although my knuckles are a little sore this morning. In the spirit of the Karaoke...I'll end with this... "I love this bar It's my kind of place Just walkin' through the front door Puts a big smile on my face It ain't too far, come as you are Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this barrrrrrr"

So a Guiness it was, poured patiently, in rounds, without a spoon and it turned out lovely. It's kind of a small bar, but it's actually bigger than it looks. Has pretty much just beer and liquor, but what else do you need here. The drinks are pretty average on prices. About the only things on the menu are beer and liquor, not really any Irish food. It's about $7 for a Jameson. The beer and liquor selection isn't humongous, but it has the Irish basics like any good Irish pub should. Atmosphere is the other good thing here. You can have a pretty good time. Come get some free entertainment while knocking some back. There's often traditional live music and stuff, and not just on St. Patrick's Day either. Good Irish drinks. It's not much in the way of food. There's bags of chips if you need to get something.

I pushed on the door and it was locked, thankfully Jennifer came to my rescue. She was tidying up from the night before but set me up nicely with a Guiness. This is an authentic Irish tavern that I will certainly be coming back to for my weekly Dive Bar Wednesday at some point (hopefully soon). It is cash-only, but I should've known better. I was hoping to meet with some regulars and get sold into staying longer but it was 12:30 and I was the only one there. As a dive bar aficionado I will def be back! Thanks again, Jennifer!

(Kari's Rating 7.75/10)…read more TLDR -Delicious & cheap bone-in wings (18 for $22) -Local bar with tons of personality -Personable staff Came with a friend around 8 o'clock, bar was pretty crowded for a Monday with a bunch of locals watching the Cubs game. Not many people were eating, but it looked like a lot of friends here after a long day of work. Our server, Alex was extremely personable and she took our orders right away. As it was a Monday, neither of us were drinking, but she promptly brought two ice waters. I had mentioned to her that I had been here six or seven years ago, and she also said she had been here since. We came here only for the wings as I remembered and 18 wings for $22 is an amazing deal! We got six hot wings, six buffalo wings and Alex recommended the last set of wings be Cajun. There was a group of eight men at the bar, enjoying the baseball game, and I have to assume they're local by the way they were talking to each other and conversing with the bartender. I can imagine this place gets pretty busy on a Friday or Saturday evening with locals. This is such a fun dive bar feeling, with the decor being very mom and pop shop, but it also felt like there was a lot of history here-like people would fight for this bar, not to shut down. You know the space has personality and charm as Alex then chased down a lady who just left to give her her the forgotten leftovers. As our food came out relatively fast, the hot and the buffalo sauces were pretty similar, but the sauce was very thin, so it didn't clean to the wings that well. The wings were fresh and really crispy so you know they were made to order which was great. The Cajun was the absolute best as it was a dry rub, however, I feel like they should've tossed it in butter or something so the Cajun would stick as most of the seasoning had fallen off.
