Came here during a crawfish boil, and holy crap was it packed! It was a bit hectic. I don't think they anticipated that many people showing up. The line at the bar was extremely long, but they were working hard trying to churn those drinks out. I got a whiskey margarita and it was delicious. Highly recommended. I tasted a bloody mary which was also delicious. The building, space, and patio was all really nice. As I was waiting for the tour I was told that they had stairs to go up, but was escorted around the building to a ramp in the back by a nice young lady. So if you're a fellow wheelchair user who's curious about accessibility, no need to worry. The tour itself was short, but was led by another nice/cool young lady. It was neat seeing the bottling process happen. I enjoyed the tasting part, and the room it was held in. I'd like to come back when there isn't a big special event going on. read more

The wife got us tour reservations as a Father's Day gift. Our tour guide, Eric (a.k.a Whiskey Jesus), provided tons of great information about the distilling and manufacturing processes while adding touches of humor throughout. The bar tenders at the attached bar poured nicely mixed drinks and struck us as talented and experienced. We had never been to Trinity River distillery before, we were impressed. A nice loung area inside with a bar that was ready to serve us a cocktail before the tour. I waited quite a while to come here because I thought it was just a facility to tour. I found that they have a bar open to hang out at both before and after the tour and the drinks (whiskey or vodka cocktails) are delicious! Gorgeous interior with comfy leather couches and bar tables and a beautiful outdoor area with picnic tables and a giant fireplace. There was talks that food trucks would be on site during the weekends, but when I visited, you were able to bring your own food in! Definitely stay to try their cocktails! They were some of the best I've had! read more

This historical building does have stairs but that is the only downfall of this place. The tour is short but just long enough to get ya thirsty for those tastings. The decor is beautiful, this is great for first dates, date night with the wife, or a group of friends! The outdoor games and patio are wonderful and draw you out to meet new people, or you can stay indoors and enjoy the comfortable lounge and pool table! I couldn't finish my drink. I ordered the old fashion and my friend ordered the mule. His drink was gross too. Apparently they put tea in all their cocktails. I've never even heard of mixing tea with whiskey cocktails. Not sure what kind of tea, but it left a nasty after taste. Like kt was fermented, maybe kambucha? Also, they use regular ice for their old fashion, which is a cardinal sin in my book. read more

The reviews had me really excited about our visit! The groupon had me even more excited! I read there were lots of outdoor games... well, there was 1 game of corn hole/ bean bag toss. The inside is decorated like it belongs in a ski town (which isn't a bad thing, just kind of random). The tour was really big-- probably 25 people on it. At the end, you get small tastings of vodka, whiskey and honey whiskey. Umm, everyone likes the honey whiskey so much because you're basically taking shots of cheap liquor and chasing it with water! The honey whiskey is the only one that tastes like a mixed drink! Speaking of mixed drinks- avoid the bar! The old fashioneds are possibly the worst I've ever had. The mules were overly sweet and not crisp like most mules are. Drinks are about $8 each, based on the booze, the taste and atmosphere I think $5 would've been more fair. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend the tour or drinks. read more

Put in the historic Ranch Style Beans building, this place has some stories to tell. The distillery currently makes whiskey and vodka and might be making another alcohol soon. The tour of the facility is nice. Simple operations with some room to expand. The tables and couches in the general bar area are nice especially if you've knocked back one too many. Old boxcar wooden tables are super sturdy and you can really put some weight on them. The vodka is a decent one. I'm not normally a vodka person and I did enjoy it. The two whiskeys are standard and honey. The honey is the one I ended up purchasing. Texas honey is added which gives it a sweet taste and cuts into the burn of the alcohols proof nicely. The bartenders are nice and the tour guide was smart and well spoken. Answers any question you can come up with pretty quickly. And they do private events too. The outside drinking area is decently large and they have a pool table too. Really fascinating place with good Texas spirits. Highly recommend! read more

We had such a nice time Saturday taking the tour. Our tour guide , whose name I have forgotten, was really nice and informative . Had it not been so hot we would have spent time on their patio which is really nice. The small bar is not small time, the waitress was so friendly and makes fantastic drinks. The tour doesn't really take that long but you can hang out as long as you would like before and after. The tasting room would be a great place to hold an event. You will see why as you taste their products. I personally do not drink whiskey or vodka but my husband does and really enjoyed the tasting. Maybe because he got mine also :))). Really nice people on the tour as well. Definitely worth your time. read more

This distillery has a beautiful outside and a calm, fun inside. We got a Groupon for a tour for 2 with glasses. The tour was so much fun and we learned and got to see a lot. The most interesting thing in my opinion was that they use rainwater! How cool. My fiancee loved the honey whiskey and ended up buying a bottle. We've been wanting to visit TRD, and the groupon pushed us to go. Got there about 90 minutes beforehand, so we stopped by Wild Acre brewery (another first visit) and tried some great beer. Had enough time to get drinks and hang out in the TRD bar area with drinks talking and watching a cornhole championship on tv with Tyler and the bar staff. Good drinks, comfortable bar area with sofas, tables and a pool table, and an outdoor area with cornball. The tour was enjoyable and informative. Excellent whiskey and vodka. No food there, but there is a BBQ joint next to Wild Acre, so we ended up with a three-fer outing! I highly recommend this as a great way to spend a Saturday. read more

We got tickets through Groupon and really enjoyed an evening here! You can show up early or spend time after in their bar/lounge area and enjoy drinks. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back. It was too rainy the night we went to check it out, but it looks like there's a nice patio and sitting area outside. read more
