I love this place always. When you are here you are safe. You are with family. It's cozy. Small. Well lit. Great place to just relax and enjoy some good music. There is always something fun on the playlist and the drink specials are always on point. Something for everyone. Don't forget to get a baseball T shirt and rep the hatter.!!

Great bartender at Mad Hatter, Brandon Martinez. He keeps them coming back over and over.

Nice little bar with nice patrons. Great bartender, Brandon I believe, was very friendly and engaging. We'll have to stop in again some night.

We had a black and blue, the Irish Ozark, an Irish coffee and beach cinnamon whiskey with root beer. Service is excellent. We sat in the comfy area by the fireplace. Can't wait to come back!

The service is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about making every visit enjoyable. The drink selection is top-notch, with plenty of great beverages to suit any mood. The food is what keeps us coming back. My wife never misses a chance to order the Irish Tacos, and I've made it my mission to try just about everything on the menu. So far, not a single dish has disappointed. The Sunday specials are always worth the trip, and if you go, do yourself a favor and order The Dubliners. It's one of those dishes that defines comfort food done right. And when the Scotch Egg makes an appearance, don't hesitate, it's a must-try classic. Whether you're stopping in for a pint, a hearty meal, or just some good company, this place never misses a beat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic flavors, great vibes, and consistently excellent service right here in Granbury.

In addition to the food, they offer gluten-free beers and cider. Service was excellent and our server was knowledgeable about food preparation (in terms of allergies). The food is good but I find it extremely rich. The onion rings are fried in a thick batter. The gluten-free gravy tastes amazingly like "regular" gravy. It's really nice to have multiple gluten-free dessert options, even if we rarely have room for dessert. I recommend that you make reservations for holidays when they have specials or if you think it would be busy (ex: St. Patrick's Day). After this visit, I did get extremely sick for about 24 hours after eating here. It might have been the richness of the food not agreeing with me or it might have been something else.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.
