I would like to let you know of my GREAT experience at your business…read more On Friday 10/17/25, I was traveling in my RV towing my F-150 and when I got to the campground in Mt Airy- NC, and unhooked my truck I noticed one of the base plates on my truck was very loose. When I started to check it out, I found two of the mounting bolts were missing from the base plate on the driver's side. I was lucky the truck didn't break free from my RV. I called the store at 580 N Andy Griffith Pkwy, Mount Airy, NC Friday afternoon and explained my situation and they said to bring it in on Saturday morning at 9:00 and they would look at it and see if it was something they could help me with. I got there as the doors were being unlocked Saturday morning and explained my situation to Frank Paim, the manager there and told him I needed to be in Long, South Carolina on Sunday. He told me they could try to put the bolts back in, but if the bumper had to be removed to do the job, they could not do it until Monday because it needed 2 people to do that job. They took the truck around to work on it and a little bit later called me back to show me the problem with the base plates. They were able to get 1 bolt in but not both bolts without taking the bumper off, and the base plate on the other side, one of the bolts you could move with your fingers. This was a very dangerous situation and Frank said I should not tow until I could get it fixed. It is now close to 11:00am and Frank said if he had the manpower he could get it done today, but he just didn't have the help. Well one of the other mechanics just happened to be there on his day off and heard what was going on, and he said he would clock in and help get the job done. Frank told me it would be an overtime job and gave me a high estimate guessing the job could take several hours and was I willing to pay the extra. I was glad that they were willing to help me out, so I said yes, do it. The two mechanics go to work on the truck and in one hour they had the truck done, and got it done before Noon, so it was not on overtime. The total cost was about 1/3 of the estimate because of their fast work and great quality work. I just want to thank Frank and the two mechanics for being sympathetic to my needs and will to go above and beyond to help me out and get the job done! David Bieri West Palm Beach FL. I would not recommend Custom Built Structures because they do not stand behind their work. They…read moreinstalled a forty-by-forty building in Apri of 2024 on my property. By August of that year, we started having leaks. After contacting them to send a crew out to repair the leaks under warranty. They agreed to send a crew at their convenience, when they had a crew in the area. After that there were leaks during rainstorms but the next storm it would not leak. During the summer and fall of 2025 it started leaking ever time it rained. I contacted them in October to have the leaks fixed. At that time there were six leaks in the roof. Customer service informed me there would be a two hundred service fee because it was out of warranty. During this call i stressed the fact that if i was paying to have the repairs done. I wanted assurance that my roof would be fixed and all the screws would be check. Which, I received from customer service that it would be. The work would be scheduled when they had crew in the area. After waiting I finally contacted in January there would be crew to fix the leaks in February. The crew showed up a day late and replaced a handful of screws. When the crew lead came off the building, he told me that every screw on my roof needed to be replaced due to them rusting. He had replaced a handful which is what his work order stated needed to be done. The day after the crew was here it rained, the shop had seven leaks five new ones and two of the old ones. When customer service finally contacted me about replacing all the screws and being told that they did not use the wrong screws and they were installed properly. I was informed that it would cost $750 dollars to have what was recommended by their crew to be done. Customer service recommended that I find someone closer to me to repair the roof. Another company was contacted and came and inspected the roof. They found the screws rusty, not properly installed, one so loose it was removed by hand. The new company replaced all the screws cheaper with a three-year warranty on their work.
