Five stars so far! My husband and I worked with Devin to select our wiring and security options for our new home.  Devin was professional and had a high level of product knowledge. He was also extremely patient with us, and spent a great deal of time answering our questions and explaining the products as thoroughly as possible.  On more than one occasion, our conversations with him lasted well beyond business hours. It was clear that making sure we were fully satisfied was an important priority for him. It's nice to see a company that values a high level of customer service. These interactions were our first impression of Trinity as a company and have given us confidence that we are in  good hands with Trinity. I have been a customer of this company for four years, and unfortunately, the experience has continued to decline. I have dealt with ongoing connection issues, but today's situation was the final straw. A technician came out to install my doorbell camera, and it was installed sideways. The technician did not have the proper supplies needed to correct the issue. When they returned to fix the installation, the situation became worse -- now my door will not close properly, and my newly installed door and frame were damaged. We recently had this door and frame installed, and now there are permanent marks and chips that cannot simply be wiped away. Please see the attached photos. The lack of care and quality control is extremely disappointing. I am requesting that this matter be escalated directly to the owner of Armstrong's so this damage can be addressed and resolved appropriately. After four years as a customer, I expected much better service and accountability. The Tech did not have permission to relocate my doorbell, camera and drill holes in my brick. Oversold their services. Failed to install adequate outlets for easy install of tvs, soundbars and cable boxes. Installed Ethernet connections for tvs but tv installers said they are not needed. Installed extra coax cables that aren't needed with new WiFi cable boxes. So far no offer of a refund on the useless items. Minus 10 stars is an appropriate rating. read more

Nice people, awful technology. Faulty sensors keep triggering alarm and it's usually in the middle of the night. Company keeps sending over technicians to replace sensors, but either different or same sensors keep going off randomly! Always at night. The app is inconsistent in notifying you that the alarm is going off, so if you're home your household gets awakened by random alarms, but if you're away, you'll never even know! CONSISTENTLY GREAT SERVICE! I called Trinity Wiring Solutions Tech support. Herbert walked me through the complexities of syncing my automatic garage door to my new WiFi address so I can open and close it with the Trinity phone app. While I'm quite tech savvy, coordinating 3 devices -- opener, WiFi, app -- can be tough! Herbert took a few minutes to research the method and was able to text me a link to a wizard that did the trick. Then he stayed with me to assure the sync was complete. His help made my day and got the job done. Trinity Wiring folks have typically provide this quality of service for us since 2019. Much appreciated! read more

You will never speak to a human if you have an issue with monitoring or billing. Everything is chat and very slow as they seem to be doing multiple chats at once. Go with ADT or SimpliSafe. Trinity was the service provider that did the pre-wiring for our new build Drees home in Potomac Shores. We had a lot of work done by them and overall have had a great experience until recently. We had an HDMI cable pre-wired to not show cords around the TV. That HDMI cord they used has since melted around the connection point and no longer works. Since Trinity decided to be cheap and lazy and staple the cord to the interior wood during install instead of using a tube or some other mechanism that would enable you to pull the cord through to replace it, there is not easy solution to fix it. Instead of offering to fix it or providing a discount on repair, or taking any type of accountability, they stated "this is how they install pre-wirings" even though I know they do not do it that way anymore, probably for this reason. They told us that the only thing they can do is convert the old connection spot into a new HDMI using a device that costs $300-500+ and that we would also have to pay labor which would be at a minimum $500 more dollars. So due to their laziness and cheap wiring, if I want to fix it, I will have to pay over $1000, which does not include the $500 or so I paid for the initial prewiring. Ridiculous. read more

Trinity Wiring Solutions and Monitoring Services was contracted through Evergreenehomes to wire our new home and ready it for Alarm services in 2021. We worked with the sales team and established our contract to have the whole house wired with CAT 5e, Multi-mode Fiber, HDMI and Coaxial cables since we knew that having these 4 modes of wired connections would afford us quality connections. When we moved in 2022, Trinity Wiring Solutions and Monitoring Services came and installed our whole house security system (which btw, this part of Trinity did a great job) but when we had our TVs installed and connected to the pre wired connections, we found many connectors not done correctly or never terminated. I contacted Trinity Wiring Solutions about this and they sent 2 technicians to fix the connections that weren't connected. I showed the technician all the broken and missing connections and they assured us that all had been done, replaced and/or repaired. Recently I was adding some more TV and Media equipment and started adding connections and found that these 2 technicians only fixed select connections and misled us on the whole repair. I have found the following issues still: missing CAT 5e connectors and wiring tucked into the different wiring receptacles; missing and torn HDMI connections (replacing a HDMI connection is difficult and often requires complete recabling), missing Multi-mode Fiber connections both at the main cable entrance box and at the designated locations throughout the house, tight and compressed cabling bundles in the walls with both 90 degree bends and shorted lengths (with fiber this is major snafu since the glass breaks easily) and no connectivity of CAT5e end to end. From my perspective, I now need to re-cable my house with CAT5e/CAT6, HDMI and MM Fiber and in some cases remove some drywall to access my wall mounted TVs if I want to use hardwired connections. Home network WiFi is only usable to a certain extent and having expected to have Network cabling systems installed, tested, verified and documented was obviously to much to expect from a Company that specializes in Network Cabling. If I could, I would give me no stars or a minus 5 stars for bad Network and unfinished connectors. read more

After posting my initial review the owner immediately reached out to me and asked to remedy the tiny box that was included in my home. Unfortunately they were not able to install a bigger box as it would need an electrician/authorization from Ryan Homes to move my electrical outlet. The tech that came out Robert was very helpful and arranged my wires instead and made sure the box closed properly. He even addressed the wrong cat 6 cables that were initially installed improperly and told me if Ryan Homes did provide the electrician to move the outlet that they would come back and install the bigger box. This company shows that they do care about customer service rather than bailing after a job. I'm going to let my picture be the judge for this review. First off, their tech SJ is a great guy and very helpful but my rant is about the appearance of their work. Unfortunately we purchased our home with Trinity Wiring Security Solutions already ordered in and it's great to have CAT 6 and WAP outputs but look at this mess. We had a freak accident occur when our TV's and sound system were being installed but Trinity stepped right in and solved the issue. We were very impressed with the entire company and their response. They put their lead personnel (Manny and Al) at our beck and call and got things up and running. I am really delighted with how quickly they handled things. A long story short, they take no ownership (no attempt to correct their poor job). They have no quality control (using cheap cable (which ended up dead twice within 3 years) and doing a poor termination job). And they don't do proper diagnosis before quoting a very expensive repair. Lastly, they are SO slow - have to send multiple reminder emails to get a response. And their security monitoring contract is just ... I am not going to start on that other than noting that there are other more valuable options that also provide more recent devices. DIY, if possible. --- Recently purchased a townhome built in 2018. Trinity wired the house. Well, they failed. Despite the house being still relatively new, Trinity's so-called "warranty" is only good for a year and their poor wiring did not last. As I started testing the ethernet ports throughout the house, I noticed that at least two ports were bad. One was pretty much dead (rarely worked at 5mbps) and the other was iffy. I had Trinity's technician come after going back and forth with the office for almost a month to just schedule a visit. What's funny is that Trinity quoted $3,000+ to fix these ethernet ports without even running the simple wiring test to see if the termination was done properly. Only a visual inspection was done and they even proudly claimed that the termination was done so well so it must be interference! Because Trinity was charging more than $3,000+ to fix these issues, I ended up buying the tools myself and started looking at the issues more closely. Turns out, one port simply had a contact issue and redoing the termination of the jack fixed the issue, saving $1,500 (I suppose). The other issue was more serious. Turns out, 3 of the 8 wires inside the Cat5e cable were dead. What's frustrating is that this specific wiring was redone under warranty after the previous homeowners indicated to Trinity that it was not working well. The technician told me so especially since this particular cable had no label on it with slightly different rubber color. Tried cutting it further and redoing the termination did not help. So somewhere inside the wall, this cable is broken. No way to fix this without replacing the entire cable AGAIN after they redid the wiring under warranty for the previous homeowners. Not surprisingly, Trinity again goes back to their 1 year warranty BS and tried to upsell the repair costs that should not even happened. So what did I do? I ended up salvaging 4 wires out of the cable so that instead of 1000mbit, the port is now working at 100mbit, which is not ideal but still better than spending $3000+ as Trinity had quoted me. Right now my experience has not been good. I spent a LOT of money with them in wiring. They cut holes in my drywall where they failed to follow the wiring plan. I had to ask many times for it the multiple holes to be fixed. The install was horrible, awful, terrible. They caused more problems with my internet in one month that I have ever had in twenty years. I wish I could go back to Google Mesh a no problem solution. They put an electronic key pad on an interior door instead of the exterior door. That is my favorite mishap. I could not play Sonos or watch TV. But I do get their bills. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but have been extremely disappointed with Trinity's lack of customer care and response. We have a non-functioning door cam and 3 months ago we submitted a work order for the camera for someone to come out. No one ever responded, so after a month and a half we reached out to our rep directly, who said he would get right on it. Fast forward another month plus and no response or action at all. The first time they literally broke my sons computer by dropping it and left the house without telling anyone. To give them credit they did replace it. The next time i called them it was to fix a broken HDMI. it took them weeks to get the solution. then one day i noticed a hole outside around the area where they were working. thankfully the builder fixed it, but in the process they treated me as if i were trying to fraudulently accuse them of doing something and were absolutely down right disrespectful which is pretty much how they were when i called about my sons computer. i would not recommend this group of individuals. they are not friendly and inevitably something goes wrong when they show up. Trinity stood by their word and repaired a broken HDMI wiring behind the wall. The craftsmen took their time to cut the drywall as minimally as they can and spent hours patching and sanding it back. They spent more time then the painting company hired by my home builder to patch and fix cracks. They also meticulously clean and swept up after wards. You cant even notice the wall was ever cut. I wish I could give this company negative stars. They are the wiring company contracted by Ryan Homes so the builder is partly to blame too. Trinity does bottom quality work. They have a fixed contract with builders in the area and so are completely unmotivated to do work correctly and with quality. First off, when I went in for my appt, the rep didn't even know what cat6 cabling was. Then during building, I noticed the low voltage wiring was hung throughout the house like a 3yo hanging Christmas tree lights. The work was absolutely sloppy. Skipping 2-3 studs, wiring going in random directions and not secured properly. Their were sever kinks and cut sheathing due to improper installation. Locations even were stapled so tight as to deform the cable to half it's thickness. Had to talk to a site supervisor, his manager and the owner of the company, Brendan, just to get them to fix those issues. Now my biggest issue was failure to comply with manufacturing instructions. They did re-wire the house once but missed the largest concert of running low voltage cabeling in parallel with high voltage. Structured Cable Products makes the Ethernet cable and has on their site a snippet of Flukes residential wiring guide to ensure low voltage and high voltage are run at least 12 in apart, and when not possible to cross perpendicular or use some sort of conduit. This is also part of the 2014 NEC code, but unfortunately VA has not adopted those yet. This is no excuse however for complete lack of understanding of the industry they specialize in. Talking to the owner, he was confident in his quality of work and decided to completely disregard the manufactures recommendations. The reason you don't want them running near each other is due to interference. What Trinity is incompetent about is understanding physics and how power lines are not all clean AC signals. They introduce noise and harmonics at frequencies that interfere with low voltage signals. So now I have paid a company to install upgraded cat6 cabling and I'm not going to get the quality gigabit speeds I asked for. read more

Right now, if I could give less than 0 stars, I would. Our alarm has been inexplicably been going off for almost 2 hours. The monitoring service (not actually done by Trinity) is unable to assist us and referred us to the Trinity offices. Of course at 11:52pm, they are closed. We were told by the monitoring company to leave a message, which we did, on all 3 voice mails, and we have had zero luck. There is no emergency tech on service, so we have been forced to listen to our alarm. Tomorrow we will be switching to another service because this is highly unacceptable. read more

We waited over a week for them to come and fix a cable wire in our new home. Since they originally wired the house, we had to use them for the repair. The technician showed up almost two hours late, determined the wire was defective and then left. He said the actual repair would be scheduled in about 10 days. I contacted my builder, M/I Homes, and two days later Trinity came and found a cut cable in our attic. They replaced the cable but didn't make sure the cable outlet was working. My wife had to move the cables around on the splitter and figure out how to get the cable working. Trinity called us a week later and asked that I update this review. If they had been as concerned about providing professional repair service as they are about me changing this review this wouldn't be an issue. read more

I have to give credit where it is due. Trinity made a concentrated effort to right the customer service experience I was given a couple of months ago. The network wiring job was unfinished in my house. At no additional cost to me they had cleaned up the wires and fixed an Ethernet port that was originally quoted a minimum of $300 (just for fixing the port itself not including cleaning up the wires). I recommend that if you have a concern with Trinity before making an investment that you ask to speak with Brendan. He cares about his company's brand and he has customer first mentality which is very refreshing. read more

The installer Richie was prompt and very polite. He installed all of my stereo equipment and fixed bad wiring and ensured everything was working correctly. Replaced defective parts and was very knowledgeable about entire system. Install our security systems and gave a great demonstration.
