The host and owner, Jeff, was great. He was talkative but not intruding. He called me a few hours before check-in to ask what kind of wine we liked so that he could put a complimentary bottle on ice. We had booked the smaller room on the second floor but since the larger room wasn't booked he offered us that room at no extra cost. (Both were amazing.) Truly a great stay in a great place.

Unfortunately the club house facilities are in such a state of disrepair and neglect it becomes hard to justify why anyone would go out of their way make stopping there a real priority. The restaurant sits totally unused, the bar is barely stocked, and the building is literally falling apart (water stains and disrepair. The pro shop is devoid of inventory. Staff was equally unimpressive. If you are a serious player I would make the trip, for those looking for a more casual and fun day; I would think twice.

We were excited as it was 5pm and they were open until 10 (typically on Saturday wineries are only open until 6). So, we went in, hoping to do a wine tasting and share a bottle on the patio. We were told we couldn't do a tasting since there was a wedding going on. Okay. So we tried 2-3 samples so we could order a glass we liked. The very few we tried were ok. We were at least able to pick one. Then we went to the patio. Photos of the view are attached. Beautiful view of an alley and someone's house and some cars. The best part is over our speaker we heard this couples entire wedding ceremony. We could see it through the patio doors too. Talk about uncomfortable. I'm thinking the winery should close to the public when they have a wedding ceremony going on - since we couldn't get the same service and had to listen to someone's wedding. What a strange experience. Good thing we never come through Sully, Iowa! Seemed like it could've been a cute place...if it closed for weddings.

Was told that room needed to be cleaned after reception. "Understandable". Wedding party busted their butts. Put all tables away and chairs in back storage room. Cleaned floor. Removed al decor as the so called manager/bar tender watched. After all was done the manager/bartender says "no the tables and chairs have to be all setup the way they had been". I watched this guy watching all the work everyone had done and never during the process did he stop anyone and say " no don't put all the tables and chairs away leave them set up" I wouldn't use this place again if it was free! If you think about using this establishment get a contract. If they don't have one. Look elsewhere. They used a sticky note when my daughter spoke with them about the reservation. First red flag of a poorly run facility!

PO Box - 5 stars American Table - 1 star This updated review will be about the "American Table" The Good- Beautiful ambiance. Nice young man doing his best as our server. The food was tasty once we got it. The Bad- It took forever and a day to get our food. Some of our food was piping hot and some was cool at best. They forgot all kinds of extras we had ordered like soup. The staff was just strange and clueless most of the time. The Ugly- two tables around us up and left and never even received their food. The staff was bickering around the customers trying to make order out of the chaos. We had multiple meals brought to our table that we never ordered. It's almost as if they don't have a numbering system for the tables or the expo person gave no instructions. We will come back to the PO Box, but never again to the American Table.

I had the bone-in pork loin and it was extremely dry, like make you want to dunk it in your water glass dry. The side of veggies was clearly frozen vegetables warmed up in the microwave. I had the soup, which the waitress described as "some sort of pork soup". I asked for clarification she said there was some other name for that she couldn't recall, but the chef said basically, its pork soup. The broth in the soup was quite good, but other than a couple chunks of celery, it was a lot of pork, seemed like maybe left over pulled pork. But it was my favorite part of my meal. They are clearly going for fine dining with the prices and the look, and they're almost there, but missing the customer experience touches, details, and execution to pull it off. I'm pulling for them to be successful, so I'm hoping they learn and make the necessary changes to make it work. P.S.
