The best place to get any bike work done. I called around to a bunch of shops and nobody was as punctual and helpful as Mike. He not only got me in and out quickly, but he was also the most reasonable in price. I had a random broken spoke and wasn't comfortable tackling it alone for the first time. He diagnosed it, checked the wheel balance and got the spoke replaced faster than any other shop could've done. He's got a very professional setup and is easy to talk to. I just bought a new 29'r MTN Bike and it was a tad heavy with bulky tires so I started buying new components for it. Got new tires but needed to be seated on the rims. I just couldn't do it at my home. Didn't have the know how nor the air pressure. Found Mike on the net and close to my house. I only went to TriPower because Mike was the first one to give me an estimate when I requested quotes from five bike shops on Yelp. Mike has been easy to reach via email and text ever since. The prices are also very competitive. And Mike doesn't nickel and dime you for fixing or adjusting minors things on your bike. He is generous with his time. He will spend time to answer questions, explain, and fix or adjust additional problems on your bike that you didn't even know about. The turnaround time is fast if you need your bike back quickly. Mike is truly amazing! We had been looking for a bike shop to take our bikes for tune-ups and everyone had a long wait period of up to 2-3 weeks. My daughter and I had been planning a ride along the Pacific Coast Highway for the holiday weekend and I find my bike's rear-wheel needed a major true-up job. As I typically do, I searched Yelp for a bike shop and posted an ad last Monday. Mike responded first within the hour and advised he had an opening for Friday morning. Not only he can fix my bike, but he was also going to pick it up and deliver it back the same day and TriPower provides a mobile bike service! There was something wrong with my new trike and I thought I needed a mobile bike service since I had no way of transporting it. Almost 3 months later I still hadn't found someone who could fix it. Then my neighbor told me about TriPower. I called him and he came out the next morning and picked up my trike, and the next morning delivered it all fixed! Only $45 when the mobile bike repair charged me $65 (and that was a prepaid discount of $10) and didn't fix any of the problems. Getting him to come back out to do the job right never happened and I finally asked for a refund. And that was the best luck! Just had Mike Plumb from TriPower MultiSports fit me for a newer road bike that just didn't feel right, and it made a huge improvement in my comfort and power. He showed up on time; had a sweet fully-outfitted van with all the equipment and tools required, and quickly set up in my garage. It was apparent right away Mike knew what he was doing and quickly had me going through a full 3 stage fitting process to identify my perfect position on the bike. Because his fitting bike had all the adjustments needed built right in, we could make minute adjustments in just a few seconds and compare multiple positions really quickly. Much faster than bike fittings I have had in the past. Once the fitting was basically done, he then took all the measurements using a super accurate laser measuring system - which he then used to dial in my bike perfectly. Evidently, I was riding too high and too far forward. Once the bike was adjusted by Mike, I took a quick spin though my neighborhood and it felt like my bike was lighter and faster than it ever felt. And now I have the peace of mind that geometrically, my body position is good for longer rides and I am generating optimum power. Mike Plumb is a well known and respected Triathlete coach here in the North San Diego county, and I highly recommend his bike fitting service. I called TriPower to see if someone could come out to fix my bike. Mike returned my call to set up a time and better understand the problem. I explained that I am unfamiliar with bikes and when I attempted to fill the tires, a wheel came off and also the chain. The bike had been sitting in the garage for a couple years.
