We had a piano moved on Saturday, July 8th. Sal and Marcus were prompt and professional. The explained what they were going to do, then did it. The piano was in the room over the garage. The stairs wind at a sharp angle. They wrapped the piano with thick insulated blankets and plastic wrap to ensure its safety. Sal and marcus took their time to make sure that no walls or railings were even touch with the piano. They made the delivery to the new location with no problems. Both places were left spotless as if no one had been to either place. I will highly recommend Sal and Marcus of Triumph Moving and Storage to anyone moving a piano, or anything else for that matter. Sal and his team at Triumph Moving & Storage just completed our move from Virginia Beach to Spotsylvania VA, which was about 3 hours away . I had gotten several quotes and talked with many different moving companies over the course of about six months, when we were considering a move. While Triumph doesn't have the same technological process of inventory and estimates that some do, I found their personal level of customer service and communication to be refreshing, honest and straightforward, with no hidden fees or scary contracts. They were accommodating to our schedule (when we finally decided to move it had to be very quickly), and stayed in communication about pick up and delivery times. Sal, the Directory of Operations, and his team of Kwame and Marcus showed up on time, took extreme care of our belongings, wrapping literally everything that wasn't in a box, were so fast, efficient and simply amazing, finishing in half the time our last movers did. We were prepared and I'm sure that helped, but they had a super process, and were careful to point out any items they saw that already had damage so we would know before they loaded them if there were issues, so we knew it was not caused by them. The next day, when Kwame and Sal drove and delivered our belongings, they took the same amount of care and attention, yet consistent speed with ZERO breaks, and got us unloaded and situated so quickly. I can't thank them both enough, for their positive attitude, hard work, and care. Extremely professional team, so respects the needs of their customers. Google reviews SO often are BS and can be bought by businesses, so it's hard to trust, which is why I'm ALSO sharing here on Yelp - a review site I tend to trust more. I would give them a zero if I could. Originally talked with Becky in their office who gave me a date for moving my parents estate items. She called back with a quote and all was set. After going through many details with the estate seller, packing arrangements, dates set for sale, etc. ....Triumph called me at the last minute to tell me they were "too busy for me" and they cancelled on the move, regardless of the fact that they had already promised me the date and put it on the schedule. They had even agreed to the date personally with my estate seller as well. The havoc they created by reneging on their promise is immeasurable. Totally unprofessional to say the least. They were able to help me move the things out of the apartment on such short notice when I contacted them in Jan 2016, and they were able to accommodate my request to move out the unit on such short notice as well (I was out of town and forgot to inform them about moving out of the unit and ended up telling them less than the 10-day notice they required to vacate). I've moved too many times to count in my adult life, including cross-country and interstate moves. We recently moved from Norfolk to Williamsburg. Sal and his crew were possibly the best moving team I've ever experienced. Pricing was fair, and they were extremely careful with our items (Sal noted the lack of no-scratch felt pads on the bottom of a large desk and was concerned the wood floor could be scratched. I found some and he put them on. I can guarantee no other moving company has ever suggested something like this.) I thought it was interesting how Sal teaches his team members as they move--instructing the right way to move each item as they do it. And it's a little thing, but it drives me crazy when I have to put on dust ruffles on beds once the mattress has been placed on the bed--and most movers couldn't care less about this. Sal and his crew waited to place the mattresses after the dust ruffle-- a little thing, but one more thing that made the move easier and less stressful. A note that this wasn't an easy move.
