I decided to go to Trixie's after I was referred by a coworker after complimenting her on her hair. I couldn't be more happy that I did. The minute I walked in I was greeted by Nicole who brought me to the front and made me feel so welcomed, especially since it was my first time. As I waited, Trixe was still working on a previous clients hair. Not wanting me to wait, she set me up with Cici to take care of my color and cut (of course after making sure I was ok with it).. Cici sat with me for about 20 minutes just understanding exactly what it was that I wanted. She is extremely professional and honest about what would work and what would not work, but still making sure you will leave with what you want. The whole staff makes you feel so comfortable and like you've been coming here for years. I could not love my hair anymore after yesterday. It looks beautiful and I am SO happy with it. I'm new to Newtown, CT and had been looking for a new hair stylist since the salon I had been going to was now too far of a drive. I'm very particular about my hair and was extremely nervous about trusting someone new, but a friend recommended Trixie's so I decided to give it a shot. One of the best choices I've ever made, Trixie has completely transformed my hair! I heat style my hair almost everyday so it was dry, dead and brittle but Trixie is a magician and my hair looks better than it has in years. The color is vibrant, my hair looks shiny and she somehow trimmed off my dead ends without having to sacrifice most of my length. This salon is AMAZING. I literally made a yelp account just so I could write about my experience at Trixie's. Jordyn was the one responsible for the miracle that is now my hair. I called asking if they had any availability the same day and they were able to get me in. Jordyn made sure to do test strands to make sure everything would turn out perfect and then she worked incredibly hard to make sure every ounce of my hair came out perfect and exactly as I wanted it. I truly do not have enough good things to say about this salon. The staff was amazing, great customer service and very personable. And my hair... I entered that salon feeling so down about my appearance and had such low confidence, but I left that building feeling a brand new woman, truly! I am very fussy about my hair as I do not have a thick head of hair and I need assistance with color and hi-lights/low lights. I have been going to Trixie's Salon about 5 years after bouncing around different salons without that WOW hair cur or color until I found Trixie and Nicole. I see them every 6 weeks and I am always happy with the results. The entire team @ Trixie's attend continuing education staying up on the latest trends and color/cut. It is a fun and positive environment - they all get along - go drama. As we all know many salons have "drama". I came into Trixie's with lots of hair issues. My ends were split, my roots had grown out several inches, and my hair was several different shades of brassy blonde and mousy brown. I wanted a dramatic transformation to purple or red and talked with Nicole and Trixie about how to best achieve it. They drew upon their experience to help pick colors that would meet my color goals and complement my skin and eyes. Now I have a dark violet-red with hints of red-violent interwoven throughout. I switched to Trixie's in June 2020, when the ban was lifted during Covid. I was lucky to be paired with Lisette, after going to the same hair stylist for 30 years in New York. Lisette listens and she will find a solution to whatever is happening. The atmosphere is so comfortable, the stylists are professional and friendly. No judgements if you want to change something. Trixie is a life saver! I moved to Bethel and wanted to find a local place to get my hair done. After a really bad experience at another local salon I came to Trixie to fix my green hair which was not the look I was going for. Trixie knew exactly what to do to fix my green hair and uneven haircut and my hair never looked better. The Staff at Trixie's is great. Robyn has done my hair for a little over a year now . She listens to her client , has suggestions that are on par with face structure, skin tone and hair health. A cute spot that is trendy and creative with technique and very welcoming and warm. The hair- phobic person would be at ease here with the stylists and their abilities. I have been a customer for over 8 years, and wouldn't consider going anywhere else for a haircut and/or color. Trixie always does a fabulous job either with a cut or color. It's difficult to please everyone, but Trixie and her staff consistently do a great job. The salon is always clean and the stylists are very personable and friendly.
