First considered doing a trolley pub for my fiance's birthday this past September and decided against it after having some sticker shock from the price tag. Ended up doing it last weekend for my 30th birthday. Don't worry about the price, it's WORTH IT! With 14 of us in attendance splitting the cost, it was only $35 per person and worth every penny. Adam was our guide and he was awesome! He listened to the kind of places I liked and helped me plan a route that suited our needs. For someone that grew up in Raleigh and feels like they've kind of been there, done that the trolley pub was an exciting new adventure. So much fun! Took my fiance for his birthday and my parents. We were able to dj our own music and it was awesome to get to know the other people on the trolley. Definitely prepare to drink a lot as you stop at different bars as well. Your butt will hurt from the seats afterwards but it is well worth it. Never thought I would sign up. Did for a birthday and had an awesome time! Highly recommend Tom he was awesome.

This past summer a group of us reserved a pub trolley, on the way there we go a call saying the electric motor on our trolley is not working but we can probably still do it by pedal power. We agreed to try it. We only go about two blocks away before we his an incline - all the pedals were slipping off the gears due to too much force applied - apparently they are not made to work on pedal power only. We pedaled the trolley back t its parking space and were told we could reschedule for a free trolley at a later date. After discussion more we were also refunded our money. So - scheduled our "free" pub trolley for last night (1/24/17) and were given another broken trolley. Could not even get out of the parking spot! If you plan on doing this be sure to have a backup plan downtown, chances are you will need it. Kevin read more

Tom was an awesome trolly driver. Very friendly and accommodating! Trolly pub is BYOB but they stop at a couple bars along the way so you can get drinks inside to! Perfect for birthdays or any kind of celebration. Definitely recommend Trolly Pub to anyone and will be coming back with another group of friends very soon! read more

A group of us did the Sunday brunch tour and it was so much fun!! It was defiantly something fun to do out of the box and i think we provided a lot of entertainment to everyone around town as well. My girlfriend and I have seen this place multiple times and have always wanted to try so we finally booked a mixer for a thursday afternoon. Since we were visiting from out of town and wanted a daytime experience. It was unfortunate we got there and nobody was there. Seemed like there was no organization whatsoever. We weren't even being expected. Only good thing was they were very sorry about it and refunded us the money. Probably wouldn't bother booking again tho. read more

Great idea for a business, and I really was looking forward to the experience. However we ended up on a very overcrowded trolly. Our group of 8 was stuck in the back of the trolly the whole time with half the group unable to pedal the entire time. There were 13 seats and 13 seatbelts but there were 14 people on our trolly. Overcrowded and uncomfortable for us. Ruined the experience and can't recommend to others. read more

I have been on the Trolley pub previous to this experience and I always had such great things to say about my experience. Unfortunately this last experience was disappointing... We got to the staring point at 8pm for and 8:30pm ride. We got on the trolley at 8:30pm and the trolley ended up having mechanical issues. Our group totally understood and waited patiently for the mechanic. We were told around 9:15pm we had the option to be refunded or rescheduled because all of the batteries were dead on the available trolleys and we definitely couldn't just use pure pedal power to get to glenwood and back.The birthday girl was upset, but most of our group understood that these things can happen. As we went up to discuss this with management they agreed to refund us our money and throw in a free tshirt, they told us that next time we should book earlier in the day so that we wouldn't face this problem again and the batteries would be more charged. I was confused as there is no disclaimer regarding this on the website for the possibility of not getting to ride after a certain time because the batteries die. It just seemed like at the end of our conversation the manger threw the blame on our group that it was our fault we picked a later time and that's why the trolley didn't work. Anyways, the trolley pub is awesome I would just suggest booking for a time earlier than 8pm. read more

The Trolley Pub itself is so much fun! It's 400$ for a private tour for up to 14 people. I did it for my birthday and even though it was sooo cold we had a blast. My only complaint which at first worked in my favor was they pushed back our reservation 15 minutes because apparently one of the trolleys broke down. They must have tried to fix it and still give it to us because our trolley did not sport the trolley pub logo like the other ones that ran at the same time. The music kept going on and off because of speaker issues. Also it kept making this popping noise which sounded like it was something with the engine. Our driver even said he did not know what was going on with it. The peddling part was not too difficult it was just our trolley was super slow compared to other trolleys speeding past us. There is a 200-250 pounds limit per person, I am not trying to be mean but I don't think our driver met that requirement which could have been a reason for us being so slow. read more
