I went to Tronix to have a stereo installed, Patrick was our salesman he was intelligent he knew his products and how they work. We were told the cost and the timeline that the unit could be installed . The follow up before the work was done was amazing we were kept informed as to the date and time the work would be completed. A few years ago we had a remote start installed in our car and it was done perfectly. This week we took my 22 year old Z3 Roadster in to check my speakers that were staticky. They checked all the speakers and unfortunately could not find a replacement for my main subwoofer that was the only one that had a problem. When we went to pickup the car they had all the info I needed to try to locate the speaker and did not charge me at all for checking all the rest. That's so nice of them. TL;DR If you own a Tesla, find a different shop. These people have no idea how to work on them. Made an appointment. Showed up at the appointed 9am time slot to be told by the completely uninterested employee that they don't have the tint I wanted, XPEL Prime XR+, as they were out of it. Then I asked which tint they had in stock, and he then said "Oh, that's the one we use all the time". O....k. Then confirming the work to be done, he tells me they don't tint Tesla roofs, or windshield. Roof, because they've "heard" about cracking roofs, and XPEL tells them not to, and they don't do windshields because of the camera. That's even funnier, because I'd say all new(er) cars have a camera up front! So in the end I obviously walked out, as obviously they couldn't be less interested in my business, and had not a clue what they were doing. read more

While picking up my car, we asked them to look at a small issue with my wife's car we had tinted in 2020, and they didn't hesitate to fix it! Had a great experience with Bill and the team at Tronix. I wanted a Kenwood head unit for my Corvette. Bill said that they don't typically work with that brand but he could get it. They charged me the same price as on the Crutchfield web site, very pleased. They installed the head unit plus a backup cam and all work perfectly. An extra - when I went in my hazard blinker button did not work. The installer noticed that the wire was loose and repaired it, no extra charge. I recently had a 5 channel system installed with a sub a few months ago in my rather new car. During the install, one of my panels was broken. Spent about $600. Since doing this, I've brought the car back a couple of times. First a fuse box and some wiring. At first, bill tried to tell me nothing was wrong. Now sound started cutting out entirely again and smells like burning. Bill said new speaker needed, just one. I have my own speakers in the trunk. $120 for that. This system has barely even worked or played majority of the time. I feel like my cars at the shop every other week. To get to my point- I'm very unhappy with the install and the customer service. I don't deserve to pay a bunch of money to be spoken to that way. Issue after issue and an attitude. read more

Recently upgraded my stereo system in my 07 Jeep Compass. I stopped by prior to making the jump and the individual I dealt with gave an great "beginners" intro to all of the choices I had, and was extremely respective of my price range and limited knowledge of car upgrades. A few weeks later I called after work to see if i would be able to drop off my car and they were happy to take my last minute, and even allowed me to pay ahead of time so that I could come back at my allowance to pick up my car after hours (with my extra set of keys of course). They also encouraged that if I ran into any problems or has any questions with my new stereo to stop in at any time. Awesome customer service. The quality of my unit has been great- I also did some light google searching and determined I got a great price for the stereo and Bluetooth radio that was put in. All of the prices they give include installation, which is preferred for the un-handyman type such as myself. Overall- I would recommend to anyone and visit again for any auto electronic upgrades. You also cannot beat that this location is across the river from Water Street- which makes happy hour a great place to wait out while they give you the upgrade of your choice. read more

I had a simple amplifier changed out and it has become a nightmare from 3 days ago. The product reccomended was inferior and the installation was below mediocre. There were at least 6 items wired wrong. So I go back to the store 3 days later and they said we are not refunding you and that we have a lifetime warranty. The problem is, I dont want their products or anyone there to touch my car again as the wiring almost ruined my head unit. They said "your beat and we are not refunding you". I told them that I would take them to court and leave bad reviews but they did not seem to care and said we will see you in court. So here I am at the courthouse in Tom's River filling out the paperwork while I write this review. I have been a district manager in retail for 30 years and never had an issue with a retailer like this. I even told them they could keep the cost of the wires but refund me for the 3 day old amp and installation. If a lawyer costs me 2000 to get my 475.00 back it will be well worth it buyers beware. Not a great place to do business with. In any retail company, if you are not happy with the product or services you received you can get a refund. Not here apparently. Own to your mistakes and take care of customers or you wont have any. I am posting this review on Yelp and contacting the Better Business Burough in addition to having to go to court which all could have been simply avoided for owning up. I was told the amp was 200 watts per channel and it's actually 100. The total price was 475.00 which included running a new subwoofer volume switch and my old one was used and no new switch was installed when they said my old one would not work. The amp goes for 139.00 on Amazon. 336.00 for install? I would be glad to remove my reviews, avoid the BBB and court for a simple refund for a 100% unhappy customer but I think I will have to see this through to the end. Again, BEWARE! read more

I had two cars tinted recently, at this location, and their location in Barnegat. The tint looks fine, but their install is garbage. One location screwed my windows up, and now my back windows barely roll down now. I don't know what they did but my car worked fine before. The other place (I guess when figuring out how large the tint should be) used razor blades to trace my windows, and now my stickers and decals have cut marks all over them and need to be taken off. I guess it's part of the process of sizing and cutting the tint, but they could of said something! These guys are total clowns. They're unprofessional, unfriendly, and I would never go here again. Very disappointed. I have been a customer of Tronix since they opened. I recently had a new car stereo installed along with a wireless microphone for my cell phone. The mic NEVER worked. The radio keeps losing power and erasing all my settings. After going back several times, they finally hardwired my radio directly to the battery. Still the same problem. They said they would put a new radio in. I stopped in several times to see if they could schedule me. There was always a reason why it didn't happen. Either they didn't have the radio or I didn't have the time. They were supposed to call me twice when the radio came in. They never did. After months of this, I finally decided that I had to drive there and just let them replace the radio (this was in January) and wait all day if necessary since no other way was working. I get there and they tell me the 2014 radios are in and they will have to "call the dealer" to see if they could do anything for me. Really??? Well, they called me back a couple weeks later and told me that unless I had the original box, manual and packaging, they couldn't help me. Never once in the 5 months this dragged on did they EVER say there was a "time limit" on getting this fixed right. Yes, you read that correctly. This dragged on for 5 months. They lost a customer that was theirs for life. Foolish. I just bought a new vehicle and I bought and had a high end system installed elsewhere. I will be bringing my commercial vehicles to that other business as well. If you like a business with no sense of how to run a business, then by all means use Tronix. If you want professionalism, I would definitely NOT recommend Tronix. read more

This was my third installation performed at the Tronix and as expected the job was performed perfectly. The help at the desk was very good, helped me find what I was looking for, gave me some suggestions, I went home did my homework. Sent to Tronix what I would like to have installed and within days he had it ordered with all the necessary additional parts. It took a few hours for the installation which I was told it would take. This is the only place I would go to get customized parts installed. I went to my dealer for a back up camera and I was told it would cost twice what Tronix did for the parts and installation. Also, the dealer rep was the one that recommended that I go to Tronix. The only no so much a negative but something that could be improved. The front desk person, will not mention names, could use a little help in dealing with customers. Don't get me wrong he knows his business and will share his thoughts but he can be some what course when he talks to a customer, well maybe it was just me. I can not have had a worse experience at Tronix in Barnegat. A few years ago my father had a new stereo put into his truck and they absolutely destroyed it. He brought it back to have to fixed again to no avail. Recently my boyfriend and his family all got remote starters installed in their cars. Not ONE of them was installed correctly. They have been back several times to try to rectify the issues. I would absolutely NOT recommend this business to anyone. The staff is rude and they have no knowledge of installments.
