We called J&J and they sent a tech who…read morechanged the thermostat (which was unnecessary) and told us the fan motor needed replacing but he jury rigged the system so it would run constantly until they could replace the motor, It ran for an hour after we paid them and they left. Charge was almost $300 and we called them to come back and see if there was another problem. They came the next morning and cleared the overflow drain using my shop vac that I had already used before they were called to clear the drain line. They said due to the high humidity the drain was again full of water and left after 20 minutes, charging me foe another service call and $109 to clear the drain, another almost $200. They gave me a price of just under $1000 to replace the "faulty" motor. Before I spent any more and investing already all of this money I called the office and asked if they would at least credit one of the service trip charges for the new motor job. They never responded. I waited three days and after the weekend, I called another AC company who offered free estimates and no charge for a service call to diagnose the problem if they were given the job. This tech diagnosed the issue as a relay component and after ordering the fan motor relay, the system started working right away and has been functioning normally for three days and two nights since he left. The faulty part? A relay which cost$32.99 from the manufacturer,now the blower motor is running just fine. As a footnote, the J&J service tech told us that the motor and relay were all one unit and had to be replaced since the start relay was built into the motor. Sounds like they operate like the car mechanic who just changes every part until the problem is fixed.

Jacob and Shawn showed up on time and got to work in my very tight ceiling space. Lucky for me they came right away. It seems the wires to the heating module burned out. Those wires became loose. and shorted. Could have caused a fire. My breaker never went off! They redid the connection and now everything works for the next chill. I am going to keep up on my maintenance schedule in the future. They check on loose wire during these inspections. Again, thanks to J&J and Jacob and Shawn. And the office is great to deal with too. They pick up on the first ring and sound really happy working there!

We hired Liberty to replace all our metal ductwork to flex ductwork 2yrs ago. K. Smith. Treasure…read moreIsland. We thought they did a good job, until a week ago. A week ago we had an Insulation company come by for an estimate. They informed us that our ductwork had not been properly sealed with tape and mastic. In addition to the flex duct work not being cut to the proper length in some places. I called Liberty and to their credit they did send someone out within a couple days to finish the work. The same guy that had done the original work came and when I asked him why he hadn't done it properlyin the first place, he said it was because it was summer and to hot. I can totally understand not wanting to do it, but then dont take the job if your not going to do it properly. We also would have been open to waiting until it was cooler to do the job or finish the job. Instead we had leaky ductwork at 9 connections for 2years. The tech did complete the job by taping and applying mastic to the connections, although after checking they were not all done well at all. He also used the old insulation to try and cover the boots. If you've had work done by Liberty I would check to see if they did it properly. And if you use them make sure you get photos of the finished work. Their is no reason they cant have their employees take photos after each job is complete and included that with their bill.

They had availability for the very next day. I was informed ahead of time that the cost of service would be $120 and that my timeframe (window for service) would be from 12 to 2 PM. My technician, Gavin, was right on time for the work. He diligently performed all of the necessary maintenance, informed me that my machine (and its related parts) was very clean, and was done with all of the work within an hour. Normally, I would shop summer specials, but because I really wanted it serviced to ensure its health during these brutally hot months, I accepted the rate they charged. I was given the option to sign up for twice a year or more regular service, but I declined for the time being. I can't comment on their repairing services, but for regular maintenance, I would definitely recommend this family owned business!

However, during the installation, he placed two of the vents in the wrong locations. It has now been over six weeks, and I am still waiting for him to correct the issue. Our insulation and drywall work have been completely delayed because of this, and Javier is fully aware that the rest of the project cannot move forward until the vents are relocated. For weeks, he kept telling me, "next week," but nothing ever happened. Now he is no longer returning calls or responding to messages. I paid the majority of the project cost upfront, and since then, he has essentially ghosted us. His mistakes, lack of communication, and failure to complete the work have caused significant delays to our construction project. I would strongly advise against using his services. He installed work incorrectly, failed to follow through on his commitments, and has been unresponsive despite being paid.
