I went to a viewing at Vaughn Greene on Liberty Rd, and there was this beautiful arrangement that depicted the colors for both the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. I could not keep my eyes off this arrangement. The flowers were not wilted and looked as fresh as they could be. Whoever purchased them, picked a great florist. Now I know of this place, I will definitely be making them my go to florist.

I was greeted warmly by Naima who discussed my vision with me. Then, the owner Cathy met with me and put together a magnificent sample centerpiece that fit my vision perfectly!! On top of that my wedding was on a Sunday morning when the shop is closed but Cathy coordinated deliveries to the church and the reception venue. The day before the wedding and after the store's business hours, I called to request an additional centerpiece. Cathy answered the call and was able to accommodate my last minute request. At no point did they make me feel ridiculous for being so late with everything. Outstanding customer service and a great family feel! They deserve 10 stars!

I placed the order online, scheduled pick up, and moved on with my life. Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses.
