I have passed this place a hundred times and never really considered walking in, until a few days ago. I was starving, and wanted a beef patty bad. I went in on the premise of getting a patty. Dining area to the right side. Jamaican flag drapes and simple tables covered in plastic protection. Menu written on board. Fish and shrimp done to order only. Great to know. I hate overcooked fish with a passion. Great customer service, friendly smiles, patient with my slight indecisiveness. They have mini portions, small and large sizes too. Now, I had my daughter with me and she was fresh out of school and starving because-you know, kids after school are ALWAYS starving lol I chanced it and got her a mini stew chicken. Got myself a small oxtail and two beef patties. That mini was PACKED y'all!! Enough to fill her belly and make her forget about a patty. The stew chicken was delicious! Cooked just right,not over stewed. The oxtail was so tender and FLAVORFUL! They damned sure weren't stingy with portions. The oxtail was enough for a large portion. The rice was a little too soft for me but I didn't plan on eating it anyway. Plantains were perfect, veggies good. Patties were beefy and fresh, golden crust on the outside. Rice and beans were basic. I've never had brown stew chicken before so I have nothing to compare it to but I cant imagine it being this simplistic and nasty. The chicken itself wasn't even tender. Definitely won't be wasting my money here again. They took every letter out of the word 'professionalism' for me. First, the 1 person dealing with customers today doesn't really need to be dealing with the public's food. He's fixing dinners, chopping meat, collecting cash and credit cards with NO GLOVES-scary! Did they get any training in PPE? Didn't even wash his hands. Then, someone signed their credit card receipt and he just left it right there on the counter and walked away. I counted 3 different people go up to that counter before me and the guy's credit card receipt was still sitting there for everyone's inspection. What a mess! read more

Love it! Saw a yelp review and I added it to my bookmark and I finally made it and been there twice already. The last time was even better than the first time (which I didn't know it was possible!) I've been coming here since I was a child I'm now 30 years of age but as of today I will no longer continue supporting this business. I called so my dad can place a order he's not familiar with Jamaican food so he's asking what sides are available the lady told him he asked do you have any vegetables? She replied nasty and said " I just said salad you didn't hear me?" If he asked it's obvious he didn't hear you. That was so rude and nasty! Working in customer service you're not supposed to talk to people like that. Then while he's trying to place his order the ladies are talking to other people in the restaurant passing the phone back and forth didn't say hold on or anything, my dad is saying "Hello" she just blew her breath and ignored him. I ordered the small Oxtails and it was delicious and they gave me a lot of food too. I will definitely be ordering here again. I would recommend anyone who like Jamaican food to try this place. read more

Cabbage & veggies was very soggy and flavorless. Some of the rice is hard and my meat had a lot of bones in it.
