Great little cabins with queen size beds one cabin had a king size bed with a great deck that looked out over the lake. Our host were very responsive to any text or calls that we made with questions. They even had kayaks that we were able to take out. Cannot say enough good things about how well this is run the great location and comfortable clean accommodations. The kitchenettes had a good stock of basic equipment. The refrigerator was full-sized good water pressure in the showers and clean bathrooms

The owners are fantastic people and they keep the grounds beautiful year round! The pool is an adorable heart shape and has a cover to keep it cool! The fishing pier is amazing and it has multiple different places to hold poles, they also sell bait up at the customer coop! They have cats (soooo many cats!!) and chickens! They also have fishing poles for anyone to borrow. There's multiple beautiful cabins on the property that you can rent. They always have fun celebrations for the 4th and Labor Day. The guests you'll meet are honestly so memorable and a lot of fun to meet. You'll make some good friends and maybe see them again in coming years! This place is so amazing and I wouldn't change the location of my 4th celebration anytime soon!

We enjoyed lunch and the breakfast buffet at J's, and the grounds are well maintained. Unfortunately, the service throughout our three-day stay consistently fell short of what you'd expect from a resort of this caliber. The one exception was Melanie at the Tower Pool bar, who was genuinely friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding hospitality. She was the only staff member who made us feel like valued guests. Our stay began at 360 Sports Bar, where it took 2.5 hours to receive four drinks and two appetizers. The service was slow, inattentive, and lacked basic friendliness. To make matters worse, the flies were relentless--not just there, but during every dining experience throughout our stay. They were a constant nuisance and significantly detracted from the experience. That same lack of hospitality was evident throughout the resort--from hosts and servers to housekeeping. Our room was cleaned, but the beds were hastily thrown together and clean towels were left in a pile on the counter rather than neatly arranged, reflecting an overall lack of attention to detail. The Tower Pool also felt far too small for the size of the resort, with chairs being "reserved" hours before opening, making it nearly impossible to find seating. Our teenagers also felt there wasn't a pool or space designed for their age group. The resort itself has so much potential, but the guest experience simply doesn't match the beautiful surroundings or the price point. Comprehensive hospitality training for front-of-house staff and restaurant servers, along with addressing the persistent fly problem, would go a long way. Sadly, after this experience, we won't be returning.

Basically much of everything I pointed out in our first review was still the same including the very comfortable bed and super soft stuffed pillows. We enjoyed frozen margaritas ($15 each) by the pool, however, during those hot summer days it's hard to find shade by the pool. We also noticed that the water in the pool was pretty cloudy and in need of being shocked back to clarity. And as I mentioned before, the hot tub is really not that hot. In the morning, just around the corner from the elevators, you can grab a courtesy cup of coffee which is a big plus. We definitely used the mini fridge in the room, but we wish the room came with a microwave as well considering how much you're paying for the room. We did enjoy dinner and breakfast at their in-house restaurant called J's. However, it's hard to get out of there for less than $100 for two with burgers, drinks and tip. Same is true for breakfast buffet for three. All things considered, this resort is less than 2 hours drive from Austin and will be paying them a visit again

We paid to stay in The Wings and drove 3.5 hours for what was supposed to be my birthday getaway…read more Unfortunately, the experience was terrible from the moment we arrived. The unit was extremely hot, completely unusable, and we could not stay in it. We called immediately and asked to be moved, and were told the new unit was "much better" and "more upscale." We were then moved to Eagle's Nest Retreat, and after spending over an hour and a half trying to get settled, we walked into a unit that was absolutely unacceptable. There were bugs and stains on the ceiling, including a boot print, mildew throughout the tarp ceiling, and bugs/spiders crawling above the bed. We were bitten all night. The shower and bath were exposed on a walking path, offering no privacy or sense of safety. The wind was blowing around 22 mph during the night, causing the tarp ceiling to flap loudly and the entire unit to shake. It was impossible to relax or feel secure. The whole space felt dirty, neglected, and unsafe. I've attached photos from Eagle's Nest Retreat so others can see exactly what we walked into. For the price and the long drive, this was extremely disappointing. This was supposed to be a relaxing birthday retreat, but instead it was stressful, uncomfortable, and nothing like what is advertised. I would not recommend staying here.
