Sometimes though I think her eyes are bigger than her stomach because we fill up our cups and then they are melted and we are full before we can finish, heh. They also have a nice variety of flavors and toppings. One down side is they are pretty pricey per ounce weighed. Even with my Yelp check ins the prices are still substantially higher than other Yogurt and ice cream shops I frequent.

So lets talk about what really goes on at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Alexandria La... I was personally threatened and harassed by a 36 year old adult shift lead and not a thing was done. The district manager was informed about the situation and instead of her getting written up or even fired for threats and harassment my hours were taking away from me when I was just a victim in the situation. I was harassed on many occasions and me getting harassed resulted in me getting sent home. This shift lead also left for an hour (30 minute drive to her house 30 minute drive back to the store) and left many minors unattended with no supervision for a pair of shoes. The food there is never good quality. The product that goes into your food could reach its expiration sticker three times and the manager says "it's fine just put another sticker on it." You could order a item off the menu and a crew worker make it completely wrong by accident and goes to try and the right food item as the customer ordered and the shift leads tells the crew worker to put it out the window anyway that they can deal with their food being wrong. There is mold everywhere on one of the days right before the district manager arrived to the store (only real deep cleanliness cleaning happened when managers are informed district managers are coming) I was in the store scraping mold off of the wall because I personally couldn't stand the thought of there being that much mold that was on the way for no telling how long after the manager even said "its just mold there is mold everywhere on walls no big deal." The big cooler in the back are supposed to be cleaned on Sundays but yet I have never once seen the cooler clean or being cleaned out anytime I walk in there there is food all over the floor that eventually developed mold the food is left on the floor so long. Sometimes products are left on the shelf in the coolers for so long that they become rotten and moldy. I have personally gotten a salad and the lettuce was so bad rotten and brown and stinky I gagged and immediately threw away the salad and wasted almost 10 bucks for a salad I couldn't even eat. The spinach and kale mixture is always so bad in the smoothie line when you open the line lid you can't smell anything but bad spinach and kale and when I went to tell my manager I was told "its fine just put it in there anyway" and I couldn't personally put something that looked the way it did in someones smoothie so I would go and tell the customer and if they still wanted that in their smoothie than that was on them but if not I refused to put expired product in someones food. The fake smelly disgusting chicken they use has given and choir teacher food poisoning. The only containers that get changed daily is the smoothie concentrates and that's just old concentrate getting poured into a fresh container and getting a new sticker to make it "look nicer" if product doesn't sell quickly they will sit in either food or smoothie lines for weeks at a time just continuing to get a new expiration sticker until all of the product is sold. But I saved the best for last lets talk about the big rat problem that tropical smoothie has to this day they have once found the rat in the bread and have sticky traps everywhere and have yet to catch the rat as of me quitting but picked the sticky traps and change all of the out dated product sticker real quick before health inspection got their so health didn't fail tropical smoothie cafe. read more

Only reason for 4 stars is because how expensive it is. For 4 people it was 30 dollars and the smoothies only come in one size. But the smoothies were good. read more

This is really disappointing because we love the food at Schlotzky's & this is the only location left in Louisiana. We just stopped here during July 4, 2026 weekend. The entire glass front door was cracked & looked like it would shatter if you touched it, but it was not covered for safety. They didn't have ANY tea made & the water out of the coke machine tasted horrible (in Shreveport, we have F grade water, but this was somehow infinitely worse), so I didn't even get a drink that we paid for. Both bathrooms are extremely dirty. My husband said there are never any paper towels in the men's room & the air dryer is rusted & too gross to use. And the water sprays out like crazy when you barely turn it on. He said it also stinks. The ladies room is also gross & the sink looks like it hasn't been cleaned in many years. The toilet seat doesn't fit on the toilet & slides around everywhere when you're not moving. The water barely comes out of the faucet, making it hard to wash your hands. (For at least a few years, the bathroom door locks didn't even work, but I guess they finally fixed that, at least.) We sat at the one table we could find that wasn't dirty. My husband also noticed some of the floor tiles are coming loose. My husband said his Original sandwich wasn't hot all the way through & his chips were stale. And they gave me the wrong dipping sauce with my calzone. We were weirded out by how dirty the restrooms & restaurant were, making us really concerned about how clean the kitchen & food could be when everything else is so dirty. So due to all of this, we will not be returning.
