I really use to like coming here for a fresh smoothie but something has changed with their quality lately. The smoothies are gritty and very unpleasant to drink. There were not many places before to go in Augusta to get a fresh smoothie that wasn't loaded with unnatural sugar. I feel like I'm drinking powdery, extra chunky applesauce. This place has been my go to, I love Jamba Juice but since there is no Jamba Juice this place has replace it. They have great flat breads. Fresh. Clean. Healthy A couple weeks ago I stopped by and was really pleased. The interior was CLEAN and the whole ambiance was fresh. The owner was friendly and helpful. She helped me chose the Jamaican Jerk Wrap--TASTY!! It had a nice kick to it and was full of good stuff that will make your body happy I like this place because they're big on non-gmo ingredients. They have a vast array of smoothies form super healthy to "naughty" from around 4-5bucks. While waiting for my order, they offered me a sample of the tropical sunrise smoothie (could be naming it wrong)-- And that was REALLY good! Im very disappointed in the smoothies this time. I always remove the sweetener but my smoothie tasted like cinnamon and water. The chia banana boost always has a nice banana flavor with dates though out it.. but this time it's nothing like that. My kids smoothie tastes like water with a splash of strawberries and the sunrise sunset just tastes like water downed pineapple. My experience at this location was abysmal. There was one worker in particular that contributed to the entire thing. So sit back, relax, grab ya popcorn and enjoy the review. I get here and clearly somebody food just got burned cause it smelled like burned popcorn on top of deep fried bread or something. While looking at the menu there's about 3 more people that come in to order and we're all just waiting. One worker has what i assume to be a friend/spouse come into the place, she comes around, with her apron still on and has a full blown conversation like were not sitting here waiting to order. After about 10 minutes another worker comes to take the order and even AFTER ordering, the other woman worker is still talking. So, cool we ordered and we're waiting, the woman finally finished talking and goes back behind the counter. She literally scratched her arm under her shirt and proceeded to start making smoothies without washing her hands OR putting on gloves. So i'm waiting, the woman goes outside to bring food to someone with gloves on, comes back in without gloves, started taking orders, handling money, didn't wash her hands and just went ahead and put gloves back on. After putting the gloves on she sneezed in her wrist area around her gloves and didn't even change the gloves, just went ahead and started prepping stuff again. The manager was around right when she sneezed into her arm and didn't say a thing about it. On top of alllll that, the order was wrong but that's expected from the entire experience right? Moral of the story, highly don't recommend coming here for your random snack needs. read more

I decided to try this place out! I purchased the "get up and goji" smoothie with no bananas and extra Goji instead, it was delicious! My only problem with the store is the not so friendly staff, we didn't feel welcomed at all and it made for an awkward experience. I will definitely give it another chance though since the Goji Smoothie was amazing! Update : They got rid up the Get up and Goji smoothies which makes me sad but I'd be able to find something different. My problem was I ordered the Goji smoothie and the staff member didn't tell me they don't make it anymore. So when I was handed my smoothie I noticed it was the wrong color. So I told the owner that I ordered the Goji smoothies , he proceeded to tell me they don't make that anymore. I asked why I wasn't notified that when I placed my order, he just shrugged and said I don't know . I was like okayyyy so the staff member just made me a random smoothie ? I would have picked another. He did ask if I wanted another drink instead which was nice, but he wasn't very polite. I came here to get a smoothie. I understand they were busy, but to wait 30 mins and not be acknowledged or have my order taken is ridiculous. I asked one of the employees about "How much longer it would take ?" She replied "Hold on a second." As she told me to hold she just stood there talking with an another employee doing nothing. This tropical smoothie location is horrible. Most of the workers are rude, and I'm constantly getting orders that are wrong or just subpar. They don't even write down what they put in the drink on the cup so you never actually know what you're getting and if you ask for extra of something (for example, extra chicken on food) you get like an extra sliver that you pay almost $2 for. Not to mention the inside is horribly set up and has very little space to move around in. I've been to other locations that are amazing and this just isn't one of them. I'd rather drive the extra 10 minutes than bother with this location. Only good thing about this place is the literal location. read more

I appreciated that because it was $5. I like the atmosphere of this cafe. The decor is light and airy. They have wooden tables and cool steel chairs and a high top bar area too. It's located in a plaza with limited parking. The staff is very nice and helpful and you can tell they know a lot about the food and drinks that are served. Overall, I'm a fan. I have only been to tropical smoothie once. The staff there are very pleasant, attentive and helpful. They thank you for your business and smile, offer suggestions and tell you have a nice day as you leave. But the owner doesn't smile, greet you or interact with the patrons. I come here all the time but i went today and asked for two jamaican jerk wraps & they gave me some caribbean wrap instead which was nasty and i end up throwing them both away. i couldn't go back because called in the order close to closing so by the time i got home they were closed. It never fails, this was my third trip in, waited approximately 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged even though I waited patiently outside of the regular line and rather in the spot it indicated for you to wait if picking up an online order. I ordered two Lean Machine smoothies, a chicken jerk salad with extra chicken and no romaine, and a super Ceaser wrap, and 2 bananas. My paper bag was stapled shut and I didn't realize I had no bananas, no extra chicken, and loads of romaine until it was too late. Lesson learned...check yo bag! I received $10 off this order because it was the first time I used my Chase Pay app, but they kept it with my bananas and extra chicken missing!! This review covers their smoothies only because I've not had their food. The smoothies are a bit pricey, but filling and delicious. I enjoy the greens and orange drinks. They are refreshing and when you think they can be a meal substitute, the price is a bit better to justify. The staff is friendly and seems to enjoy what they do. You get the feeling that management is coaching the youthful staff how to be efficient and cordial toward customers. I would enjoy trying their food, but there is a burnt toast smell inside that would make me get the food to go. It did not bother my husband, so do not put too much into that observation. Let me just start by saying that this place opening in Augusta was a dream come true. My husband and I had always lived by a TSC in the past, so it was torture to be craving their food and not being able to get it. This particular location is great, not just the chain itself, but the owner at this specific one. They have always taken care of us and been extremely good at correcting anything that needs to be. The are still fairly new and working out the kinks that accompany hiring a whole new staff, but it's easy to see they they are a well-founded company and will do well in the future.
