Went to McAlisters today and it was a great experience. There was a little bit of a wait to order but the woman working the register was super friendly and helped make suggestions. She also offered a sample of the tea since we were unsure if we would like it. The food came out relatively quickly. There was a little mishap - they gave us a cup of chili instead of a half a spud max but they corrected it and brought out the correct item. The food itself was very good and the sweet tea and plum tea were great as well. The workers were very polite and were quickly bussing the tables to ensure the dining area stayed clean for new guests. I will agree with other reviewers that the portions could be slightly larger, but aside from that we have no complaints. We will definitely be back again. read more

A good go-to for a quick lunch. Use their app to order but, I know now to add a little time to whatever time frame I'm given for pick-up. The orders are typically correct even if you've made modifications. If they've ever been too far off the staff have been more than willing to fix an issue. Lunch time rush for in-person seems a little hectic and the line can get a bit long as well as tables inside staying with dishes/mess on them a while longer. The amount of food you get seems worth the price depending on the meal. It feels like the pick 2 combo is a solid choice. read more

The first time I ate here every thing was clean and the food was delicious. And you got a lot for the money. I came back to eat here again. I have to say they have new owners I think it's been a few years ago now. The food quality of the food was different you got a lot less and had to pay more. But this is only at the Augusta St location. For example the monster club sandwich was huge when I first ordered it . It was like 2/3 people could eat from it and now only one person can only eat it and it's not even enough to have leftovers. If you can visit any other deli . I'd do it! My first visit to this McAllisters. I always loved their potatoes! So I decided to order ahead online through their website. My husband and I both got the pick 2. I always get a potato with cheese and ranch and he get the spud ole. We discovered they changed all the names. But we were still able to get what we wanted. I got 1/2 of the crunchy jalapeño Sandwich and he got the horse radish beef. Wasn't a crumb left so must've been ok. I can't skip their tea... so good! There was only 1 curbside pickup sign, which probably needs more, especially right now. read more

Pretty good establishment. Clean. Staff was really friendly. And most importantly, the lead by example management. The owner was working in the back, WITH the crew. This is unheard of anymore. They got my order right and the food was amazing. This place set the bar. I've had so many terrible experiences with restaurants in this area, mostly fast food. We started frequenting this place during covid for ease of pickup. They have now earned our loyalty. The food is always fresh, timely and served with a smile...and you never need a refill because their beverage cups are Huge! My most recent meal included my go-to sandwich and a salad. The salad could have been a meal on its own...avocados and chicken aplenty. And the bread for the sandwiches?...always fresh. Highly recommend you try something on their expansive menu! read more

Just had lunch here today. My third time here and while their sandwiches are good, the service is not. I got scolded by the employee bringing me the food for not telling her that I would be sitting outside. I told her no one asked me but she continued to scold me saying there's a system in place and I should have told her and she kept calling my number and name...etc. I asked for manager and not sure who spoke to me but I expressed my concern with this treatment and without asking me who the employee was or anything just said I'm sorry, I will pass it on to the GM. Omg what a disastrous deli, we ordered curbside at 6:30 told pick up would be 15 minutes, turned up at 6:40 and called to tell them we were here. Waited waited waited finally called back in at 650 gave our names and they said it was not ready and we would need to give them some time as they were rushed and they would bring it out as soon as it was ready. So we waited and waited and the. Finally at 7:10 we called again, seemed like the same girl answered and she asked the name and said oh yeah it's right here it was ready all along, so we asked is it cold now, she said yes probably as it had been a while so we told them to remake it and of course that was another 15 minutes. Eventually the manager came out with it and did apologize but probably because he did not know the whole story and we we relayed it to him he did seem genuinely shocked. Now, you will have to remember that I am a "die hard" Jason's fan. But, I saw that this had opened and decided to stroll in with some friends and check it out. Very interesting menu. The "deli" part is your typical sandwiches but with a spin that makes it interesting. I opted for the The King, which was pastrami and corned beef with cheese...NO Sauerkraut!!! It was yummy. The other side of the deli is the "sides" that you can order. These include a baked potato!! They have something similar to my other place, a half sandwich and a choice of your side for less than $9. AND, your side can be any side, which includes their list of salads. It, of course, will be lunch side size, but still a plus. We liked it and will be back. In fact, one of our group is going to bring a group of her friends on Sunday. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

I was incredibly disappointed in my visit today as the cup that my soup came in was dirty. When I asked for a fresh cup, they had only wiped off a little bit of the "strawberry". My mom was also very disappointed in the canned cheese on her spud. Her plate also had some "strawberry" on it. I was disgusted and will not be coming back. read more

I have been a customer for a while and I normally receive great customer service. My last two visit my food has been terrible with my bacon not being cooked for the blt+ A Sandwich. Also old brown avocados being terribly old and messy. I am highly disappointed with the food prep and not to mention customers are paying for pricey food to end up disappointed!!! Went in around 2 pm on 7/15th with a friend who had never been. I raved about how much I loved it as my previous experience was good. This time, though, a lot of tables weren't clean & there wasn't any separation of tables for COVID-19 concerns. One employee behind register had mask pulled under her mouth over chin so her mouth & nose weren't covered. She assisted another customer & filled their drink order this way. I didn't take pics but wish I did. Went again yesterday and everything was great! Good food, clean tables & all employees wearing masks & gloves. Changed rating. read more

My broccoli and cheddar soup bowl was delicious and the cashier was very pleasant. We sat outside because it was a nice fall day and besides most of the tables were dirty from their lunch rush. The condiment station was empty and the floor was dirty and had multiple spills which we reported for safety reasons. I assume that was because they had experienced a lunch rush. My dining partners enjoyed their meals once they returned them and received the orders that they actually ordered and not what the kitchen apparently wanted them to eat. Food is good. Staff is kind. Management needs to step up and do whatever it is to ensure the resturant runs smoothly and appears clean and taken care of. I decided to try McAlister's Deli for the Reuben sandwich. As a northerner I did not expect it to be the same as a New York Reuben but I did have the expectation that is would be palatable, I was sorely mistaken. The meat was flavourless, bread overwhelming and sauerkraut without sour. Did I mention the dressing was orange wet and oily and nothing more. Then they offered spud chips which they should have informed were kettle cooked, something I do not like as they are to hard for my taste. I selected the sea salt chips but they had no salt flavouring at all. I offered some to my daughter without mention of how I felt and she too stated the food and chips were not good at all. Kicker, one sandwich, a small bag of chips and a pickle spear was over $10.00. I also ordered an iced tea, $2.99, it was good. The total was over $15.00. I have given this location several second chances. There will be no more. My experience has been either they are extremely over staffed but no one is really working, so I wait forever, or there's nobody to be seen. Tonight I was in there, and I was in line. When the cashier finished taking the order of the person in front of me, he and another up front worker walked to the back without even the slightest acknowledgement of me. I ended up just leaving. Never had an issue until the past few months when management seemed to change. Today I placed a rather large order for my employer today and were treated very rudely by the McAlister's employee who was working the cash register. She seemed offended that we would want to check and make sure that our large order was correct before we left the restaurant. Another issue I have is the employees now have their airpods in all the time, they either ignore customers or don't hear them because of the airpods, and are on their phones while behind the counter. Ignoring customers, being rude, and delay in cleaning the tables will result in people going else where for food. read more
