I came for a late lunch snack around 2 on a Sunday, and I got the happy hour mimosas and a delicious burger! We walked right in and sat at a table in the bar area. Because Sunday's there is happy hour until 5, I got the bottomless mimosas for $12, which came out to four drinks for me. A great deal I think! My friend and I weren't starving, but we wanted a snack, so we decided to split a burger between the two of us. We decided on the fried pickle burger, which came with ranch and fried pickles on the burger. I'm usually not adventurous when it come to burgers, but I was excited to try, since I loved fried pickles. The burger is pretty big, so it was defiantly enough for us to split. I thought the fried pickle burger was delicious! The ranch wasn't too heavily poured on, and the fried pickles were seriously a great touch. The patty was juicy and tasted so good. I have yet to experience less than five stars here! The burgers are just so damn good. Both the regular and jalapeño buns are a star, and the meat is so flavorful. I tried a new burger, the surf and turf, which kind of felt like a risk, but in hindsight, I should've done it much sooner because it was delicious. One of my favorite places to eat. I love their salads and their sandwiches. I was craving a burger today and they had baby burgers on special. I ordered a burger with NO tomatoes, add bacon. My server did not write it down. When I got my burger, I thought it tasted too sweet. I chalked it up to the mayonnaise. I finally looked inside the burger and, yes, there was tomato. The food here is damn legit. Everyone should try, atleast once, the Pizza Burger. Their best-kept secret are their salads - they're some of the best (and biggest) salads you can get in the area! My favorite is their Shrimp Caesar, but a Valencia without blue cheese is a close second. I give them 4 of 5 stars because they're constantly having staffing issues. It's just what you get when you're a restaurant near LSU, and the pandemic and economy have really compounded that problem. Went here a couple months ago, but saved my review as a draft and forgot to post it... Clean, cute restaurant/bar. I've been here a few times and the food and drinks are generally pretty good! Food is just a little heavy/greasy, but still good. I've had their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was really good, but again, just really heavy. I've had the chili before which was also good (again, heavy though). This time I got the California Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was really good, the sourdough bread was delicious, The chicken was cooked perfectly, bacon was perfectly crisp, but the avocado was very unappetizing. I've never had such a stringy, slimy, mushy avocado. Doesn't taste bad, but the texture was bad, I assume it was just improperly frozen maybe. But it kind of killed my appetite. I tried to take it off but it just fell apart into a stingy mushy avocado mess. Anyway, I managed to get off most of the avocado and the sandwich was still good. I was just a little disappointed bc a fresh avocado would've been wonderful on it. The rest of my party thought their Caprese Salad tasted just fine, but didn't care for it being served on a burger plate lined with paper. The fries were good too. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip couldn't have been a freshly made dip in my opinion, tasted pre-packaged. But the homemade potato chips that came with the dip were great!!! Loved those. The service was a little rocky. The staff were all nice and friendly as well as our waitress, but she messed up our order twice, forgot silverware, spilled salad dressing on one of us, and added incorrect items to our bill. She may have just been having an off night though. This could easily be a four star, I think. Maybe it depends on when you go. Still enjoyed some of the food though. Probably would've leaned closer towards a 4 star if there had been a fresh avocado on the chicken sandwich. read more
