Pros: First off, I just wanted to say...I'm From New York. So we don't have Tropical Smoothie Cafe Up near us. So I Hope my Review doesn't come across as "biased" just because I've never had it before, nor heard of it. I was passing through and I'm currently 8 months pregnant. My Unborn Son LOVES Smoothies, and I didn't want to Eat Fast food. I wanted something clean and Nourishing so I opted in for the Berry Blue Smoothie with Yogurt and Bacon Avocado Grilled cheese. I was NOT Expecting the sandwich to be THIS BIG! It was Humongous!! And the special sauce that they put on it gave it such flavor and tang. The Avocado was Super Fresh and the entire sandwich was just Plain Delicious!! The Smoothie was phenomenal as well. You can REALLY taste the fresh Fruit and Blueberries! I Wish I wouldn't have ate here because it made me realize how much New York Sucks and how Much we need a Tropical Smoothie Cafe up there. Con: The only down side to it was I waited 25 minutes in Line. Almost 30 minutes in Line. But maybe it was just a super busy day. But that's not going to affect the rating I personally give them because I understand work can get swamped. Plus the lady in front of me ordered half the menu for her and her three kids. Once I got up to the window they got me Set up within 4 minutes. So I'm Positive it was the People in front of me. I will come back if I ever pass by a Tropical Smoothie Cafe! As the newest Tropical Smoothie Cafe location, obviously not everything will be ready and running Smoothie(ly). I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, because while they should, rarely are things 100% on day 1. The service was very kind and friendly, welcoming you into the rather large and tall location. The menu and drinks are the same, as to be expected. So in a way this is more a review on their service, speed, and location. Service was very kind albeit still slowly learning. In fact, I got my reusable cup (which costs $3.99 but gives future 50 cent discounts) for free, due to the time and line. It took us about 7-10min to receive our smoothie, and by only having one cashier, the line was almost out the door, after us. The location is right across DQ, and right beside L'Marie laundromat. There is little to no parking, because for some reason they didn't get rights to the slots right infront of them. I wonder where the apartments above the Cafe park? That'll certainly be confusing for them, and even more of a hassle to manage your parking beside the next door pizza. There are 5 spaces, and it's tucked between the two buildings and the ays busy drive through line. Careful on your way down from the to-go lane, as the drop is steep. Frankly, you'll have an easier time just parking at DQ and crossing the train tracks (that is until DQ and Guajillos complain). All in all, it's a slightly bigger more open air Tropical Smoothie Cafe location, that offers you the same as all the others. Just be a little more patient until they get their fill bearings. Otherwise, enjoy some healthy fruity drinks and welcoming smiles! *Second Visit on second day of soft opening* I'll bump up another star based on how great the customer service is! The manager (didn't catch get name, but she has glasses and a braided ponytail), is extremely helpful and welcoming. I normally love tropical smoothie, but today nope. I got a quesadilla and they literally just gave me the tortilla....no cheese or anything. +the tortilla was completely burnt. I was super disappointed by the lack of compassion for the costumer. I will not be returning to this location with lazy staff. read more

There happened to be some miscommunication between ordering a smoothie. The smoothie didn't end up on the bill and we explained our situation. The manager was very cooperative and made the smoothie with no extra charge. The manager also gave us a free smoothie card for the next time we came in. Good experience for when there was miscommunication! read more

Very nice staff. They are super slow moving so if you have to be somewhere this wouldn't be considered "fast food"

I love coming here for a pick me up! If you get smoothies often buy the refill cup, it costs you a little on the first trip but subsequent trips cost 50 cents less so it'll pay for itself in the long run, my fav is mango magic read more

I have went to this tropical smoothie location ever since they opened. I've never had a bad experience until yesterday. I went through the drive thru and at first the staff over the speaker said I will be right with you ...... ok I don't mind waiting ... 5 minutes go by without a word. I say hello???? They say I'll be right with you...... another 5 minutes go by and I still have not been able to order. Once I finally ordered I ordered one smoothie and I pull up to the window and watch people walk into tropical smoothie and get serviced and walk out with their order as I'm still waiting. It's at around 18 minutes of waiting in the drive thru before I'm acknowledged at the window to which they say my total of my smoothie and I say is there anything you can do because I've been waiting almost 20 minutes for one smoothie. They tell me they can give me 10% off my smoothie. I say nevermind and drive off. Upset because I felt that 10% off was not good enough for waiting almost 20 minutes in a drive thru. I'm not one to complain ever at restaurant establishments and this is the first time I've ever said anything or complained and I felt the resolution was not good enough for my troubles. I don't think I will be returning, at least not to the bowling green location. read more
