The place is decorated pretty much exactly like every other Mexican restaurant you've ever been to, and the menu is your typical Americanized festive lineup: tacos, fajita, enchiladas, burritos, oh and cheese sauce. But then something at the top of the menu caught my eye. One of "Carlos' Top 20" dishes: The Pineapple Don Charly. I'm not sure who Don Charly is, but you had me at Pineapple. It's half of a ripe pineapple, hollowed out and filled with mushrooms, onions, pineapple chunks, and baked with cheese on top. There are a few varieties, but I landed on the Mango-Bacon. Um, what? Yes please. It came loaded with 12 jumbo shrimp, bacon, and mango chorizo (and we all know how much I love chorizo) completely covered in cheese.
