This was a doordash order. Had I known what my man was up to while I was taking a nap I would have told him no or at least read the reviews. Looks like it's got a a bad reputation for cleanliness but I don't know. My man ordered the hummus chicken noodle soup, and chicken schwarma. Im sure I spelled that wrong. He thought the food was blah. I nibbled on the hummus and pita bread for a few days then thru it out. Chicken noodle was 90% noodles. Had I been awake before he ordered it wouldn't have happened. They get kudos for getting the order right n decent presentation. Flavor was just ok. Looks like it is set up for mostly carryout. Up to you. We wont be back. read more

I want to love this place, but they make it hard. The food is good and they do a great carryout business, however it's slow and usually dirty. Today, I walked in around 2:30 pm and the place was empty, but not one single table was clean. That's on top of it basically still being a cold stone ice cream interior with few updates that are already in need of updates. read more

Don't be fooled by the strip mall, you've unlocked one of my favorite lunch spots in town. This Mediterranean spot serves us deliciously fresh food and it's good 10/10 times. One of the stars of the menu? The chicken noodle soup. It's perfect. Their Greek salad has the perfect amount of feta and a bomb vinaigrette. We also love the gyros and the kafta. They also have hands down the best baklava in town. Service is very sweet. You can dine in or take out. Can't recommend it enough. read more

We ordered takeout dinner last night here- what a complete disappointment. Lentil soup and lemon soup both were puréed so couldn't identify ingredients except a lot of salt. Bobaganoush tasted primarily of heavy smoked paprika. Chicken shawarma was overdone strips of salty breast meat. Moussaka was just sauteed eggplant in tomato sauce with onions served with very bland yellow rice. Only thing edible was the pita and side Greek salad. Will never be back. read more

As someone who came from out of town and who lives in a major metropolitan city, I decided to try the restaurant and the speciality entree and added an order of meat grape leaves. 1) The garlic sauce that comes with the grape leaves and entrees is delicious 2) The service was fast and the waitstaff were wonderful. Now on To the food: 1) the meat grape leaves were dry and had some rice which made me wonder if I got the correct order. But it seems that there were some minced meat mixed with the rice. 2) The lamb chops had no taste at all and even though I asked for medium rare, it was very dry. I did put some of the lemon on it that came with the grape leaves. I am not sure if it was even seasoned. I had to rub the garlic sauce all over it. The rice was ok. The sautéed garlic was a nice touch. 3) The chicken noodle soup was terrible. The food came with some pita and hummus, but I was quite disappointed with the rest that I really did not wish to try the rest. I would have done better going to Kroger and buying some of the food there. I contemplated not writing a review since I dislike putting bad reviews but I did not want of the out of towners to be duped by the reviews and rating if they are familiar with Mediterranean food. read more

We were quite happy with our meals at this diminutive shop in Rossford. Located among the commercial establishments in this stretch at the end of an out building beside Meijer, it made a convenient stop for lunch. The walk-up service was friendly and efficient. The menu offers several Mediterranean favorites. We chose a Shish Kebab Pita and a Chicken Shawarma Platter for our meals. The platter included two sides. We shared lemon rice soup and fries, both of which were good. There was plenty of seating and the dining area made a pleasant place to enjoy our food. Our final bill was $21, which included a small tip. At $10.50 per person, I was happy with the value. read more

***This is based on a takeout order*** We were in the mood for Mediterranean food, and Yala Kol is pretty close to me and had good reviews so we went for it. We ordered the fatoush salad, chicken ghallaba, chicken schwarma, hummus, and the falafel platter. The food was ready at the time that Doordash said it would be so no complaints there. The fatoush salad was standard, and the dressing was tangier than I wanted but the freshness was necessary. Chicken ghallaba was very tasty, and I enjoyed the sauce that the chicken and veggies were cooked in. Rice side was great, and even the fries were weirdly good. Chicken schwarma was standard but good. Only complaint about the main courses was that the chicken was on the dry side. Portions though were big, and I was happy to have leftovers. Hummus was as good as we expected, but the pita didn't seem fresh. I also prefer more pillowy pita but it's ok. Falafel was alright and we didn't feel like we would need to order it again. All in all though, we'd come back whenever we're in the mood for it. read more

Yala Kol has been our go-to place for Mediterranean food since they opened the Rossford location. Recently, however, they seem to be lowering their standards. Our last few orders have either been incorrect, sloppily put together or cold upon arrival (we normally opt for delivery). We waited over 90 minutes for our most recent order which we were told would arrive in 30 - 40 minutes. By the time we received it, the entrees and the soup were cold and it seems they were carried sideways as the hummus was covered with rice. Sincerely thinking we need to go back to one of the other Mediterranean restaurants in our area. Side note: phone personnel need to be better informed as to the menu offerings. The young lady this evening told me the entree would include mushrooms, squash and tomatoes. There were no tomatoes, but there was an abundance of onions and green peppers. read more
