I visited Tropical Smoothie Cafe for the first time on National Smoothie Day after hearing they were offering a free smoothie. I figured it was the perfect opportunity to give them a try! When I walked in, there was a convenient QR code at the register to download the app and redeem the free smoothie offer. The two young ladies working the register were very patient and helpful as I set up my account. Because I wasn't even sure what to order I asked which smoothie they recommended as one with the least amount of sugar and so I went with the Detox Island Green without bananas. Since a food purchase was required, I ordered a breakfast sandwich. I was a little overwhelmed by the menu because I had no idea they offered so much more than smoothies! I was pleasantly surprised the quality and flavor of the breakfast sandwich, and the smoothie was much larger than I expected! The free smoothie was a full 24 oz! It was a bit difficult for me to find this Tropical Smoothie Cafe because I simply misread the directions. I thought it was on Celebration Place, but it was actually on Celebration Avenue in the Water Tower Shoppes. It was quiet inside as two female employees were preparing and packing online orders. When one of the employees became available, she took my order for an almond banana protein smoothie, and redeemed my birthday offer to make it free--or so I thought. As I sat down, I noticed the manager approaching the employee who took my order and overheard him explaining how to redeem the offer. I had a feeling to check my account; the offer was still there. When I asked the employee why the offer was not redeemed, she explained that it was removed when the protein was changed from whey to pea. The manager had to override the order to make it free. I didn't want to waste the one-day offer, so I redeemed it online for a Jetty Punch smoothie. Despite the minor error, the almond banana protein smoothie was light, tasty, and filling. The food here is just not good and I have know that. But the are famous for smoothies and bowls. Today I got a dragonfruit bowl and I noticed it was premade and hard as a rock frozen. Today I actually got up early enough to go to tropical smoothie Café. I got a Bahama mama, a detox island green smoothie, a blimey limey, and a Paradise Pointe. I am picking up a couple extra smoothies for my coworkers. Each of their smoothies are around $7.50 to eight dollars. It is super quiet this morning not many people are in yet which it's really nice this is the one in Celebration. 10/10 read more

This Tropical Smoothie location was cute. I've never seen smoothies cheaper. The fruit was fresh and it was a solid smoothie. Service was good, my smoothie was ready when I arrived. I also ordered the homeless man a smoothie as well because of how inexpensive they come out to at this location. Weird thing is that the employee didn't even acknowledge that I ordered one for him, either she's not having a good day, or he comes around very often and they're bothered. Love to come to Tropical Smoothie to have my usual quick food and smoothie option. My wife and I love the Chia Banana Boost with peanut butter, accompanied by a buffalo chicken wrap and salt and vinegar chips. We love that food combo, it's really hits the spot and we can order before we get there, so we just pull up, pick up and pay. We have been coming to Tropical Smoothie for roughly 8 to 9 years and it has not disappointed. The service is great and the ambience is always a beach theme. read more

This Tropical Smoothie location was super cute in Celebration. I ordered ahead while on Disney property and thought it would be a quick stop to pick up my smoothie with a 15 minute drive to get there. When I got there, it wasn't ready and they were super busy. They need way more staff for a Sunday morning, especially with events going on at ESPN Wide World of Sports. I ended up getting my smoothie 36 minutes after I ordered it (ordered at 11:44am and received it at 12:20, promise time was 11:54) which is not good when the app says "order ahead for a speedy in-cafe pick up." I was also a little nervous of cross contamination with a gluten allergy because all their smoothies are gluten free except one that they were also making around the the same time and every container just gets rinsed out with water. There was no one I could talk to because they were too busy. This was the longest I've waited at a Tropical Smoothie location ever and I hope they add more staff on the weekend because those girls were working hard. They had 2 girls making smoothies and 2 girls assembling food. They need more staff helping with smoothies. read more

When it was my turn to order, the cashier was not very friendly. I looked up at their menu and then looked around and this location was out of stock of pretty much everything. It took me some time to figure out what I wanted based on what they had available. Spoke to the cashier about if they had any chocolate I could add to my shake and she said no only white chocolate - I made the comment that they are out of pretty much everything and she said "yeah". No sense of apologizing for the inconvenience or suggesting a product based on what I was looking for. Really felt like the customers that were there were bothering the staff with their presence. The worst smoothie I have ever had. I paid $8 for crushed ice and blueberry flavor. I walked in and wasn't acknowledged at all. Three people are behind the counter talking about random things. I ordered at 4:36pm. Checked in with them at 4:47pm since we are the only ones here. Of the many locations I've been to in many different states; this has by far been the worst. I wanted to find a reason to give at least two stars, but I honestly just can't. Walked in and was completely ignoredd for about 3 minutes while the 4 employees made smoothies, wiped things off, and answered the phone. A simple "hello! We will be with you shortly", or even a smoke goes a LONG way. Waited about 10 minutes for my order. Utterly disgusted by the lack of cleanliness in the smoothie ingredient area. The young lady was dropping all types of fruit and powders in the varying trays due to lack of care and attention. The gentleman making food did offer a smile at one point. The smoothIe is way to icy and gritty(and the chia seeds i asked and paid for are not present). Would not recommend this location at all. The management team needs to step in to provide intense support and guidance ASAP. read more

Hard to beat their half-off smoothies during morning Happy Hour (7-9 AM)! They have lots of healthy options and can customize smoothies to suit your style. On a recent visit, I ordered the Totally Green smoothie, which typically features cucumber, spinach, celery, kale, kiwi and green apple. I don't love sweet flavors, and requested that they omit the green apple. They were happy to adjust it a bit to fit my taste. They did let me know that they were happy to add something else to it to sweeten it just a bit, since the apple does add a nice bit of sweetness. Very nice gesture... I appreciated the offer, but I'm used to very green beverages. And they nailed it. So delicious and fresh. I'll be back again during happy hour. The pricing simply can't be beat. read more

I'm​ a frequent customer bc they're food quality is good BUT they've botched two recent orders and then provided me contradictory information as to how the credit matter would be handled. My order today was $46.90 and it was online for curbside. Curbside didn't happen and shorted me multiple items including an entree. On a previous order that they screwed up they told me they would credit my credit card however today with this most recent botched order they said no they can't do that but they can give me a Z card for a future visit which will be applied against my order for free food but only to make up the items I was short today not from my previous order . read more

The only consistency with this Tropical Smoothie location is the terrible quality and service. Today, "Omario", a young rude female, completely acted like the childish unprofessional this location is clearly used to hiring. Ordered two sandwiches, and two smoothies. I got my sandwich and smoothie, and my wife got her smoothie. After waiting 10-15 minutes, which is the usual for this insanely slow location. I asked another girl working there if my wife's sandwich was ready. She advised they did not make it and rushed to make it. At that time, "Omario" then went and had a hissy fit at the other female saying my wife never Ordered a sandwich in the first place. "Omario" was weirdly upset by this. The girl helping us then asked for my wife to pay for the sandwich, of which "Omario" could not handle grasping how to add to the order. I informed the girl helping us as we paid that we did in fact order the sandwich. As my wife's sandwich was prepared, "Omario", who clearly lacks and judgement, courtesy, knowledge and common sense, then mocked me, thinking I could not hear it, saying "mY wIFe DiDnt blah blah". In conclusion, this location is terrible, that girl "Omario" is terrible, and also the smoothies are clearly being made with half portions of ingredients and more ice to save on product. Went with my family to order and the manager who was preparing the food was the only worker without a mask on . He was coughing and chewing gum and blowing bubbles while preparing food. When confronted he said he was vaccinated, so I guess that makes it ok to cough on the food if you're vaccinated. Called corporate then the store owner called to basically justify her employee. Oh no it's always a shame to see the management of a business go down in quality. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff there, but my most recent experience was not I was used to or expected from my usual trips here. The good news is the smoothies are still good, I tried their new banana chia which is a great source of protein. Now for the bad...phew. So first off it took about 10 minutes for me to be even be acknowledged. There was no line and staff were walking around but I had to actually ask to be rung up before someone came to. The staff seemed more concerned with discussing availability for shifts and drama rather than helping customers. On top of that the manager at the time, Yara, was quite unpleasant. I told her about my wait time and how no one came up and all she said was "sorry about that" and went about her business. Then when she handed me my drink she didn't even acknowledge it or make me feel my time was worth it. One thing I never understand about this place is their inability to appropriately use their staff. My girl friend and I have been sitting here for about ten minutes waiting for two drinks when three people are on shift. One making food, one taking drink orders/making them and one other gentlemen doing what looks like stocking in the back.
