Coffee is decent. Comes with 4 shots. Oat milk is my husband's go to with plain coffee, makes any coffee better. My green tea is ok, not especially strong though. Absolutely phenomenal. We stopped in last Thursday around lunch and we're the only people in shop, only for a short amount of time. We were able to order our sandwiches and coffees super quick and were given some great suggestions by the staff. We decided to eat on the little patio they have and our food came out very quickly. I randomly decided to get a bagel with cream cheese from here and I'm so glad I did. I occasionally try out new places, and this was one I hadn't been to before. Gave it a shot, but I don't see a reason to go back. The coffee didn't leave much of an impression--just average at best. I tried both a large iced black coffee and a small version of their special pink coffee. Didn't finish the pink one; it didn't really do anything for me. The croissant with egg and sausage was pretty much the same--nothing memorable. Spent about $17 with a tip so about $20 for the three items, and honestly, it felt like the kind of meal I could've had elsewhere with better results. Why did it take me an entire year to finally come to this place?? It's awesome! I got a cafe au lait with a couple shots of sugar free salted caramel, it slapped. And it was half the price of Starbucks currently. I started with the mambo on rye, it sounded the most intriguing. But halfway into them making my sandwich I saw the board for the one year anniversary cubano, and I freakin love cubanos. So I asked them to make me a second sandwich. I got them both to go, don't worry, I did not eat them in one sitting. The Cubano was consumed first. It really was a great sandwich, I got it on sourdough because the mambo was on rye. The ham, Swiss, pickles... it all worked well together. If I had to nitpick one thing, it would be that the pulled pork, while tasty, led the sandwich to be a bit dry. Then, many hours later, I had the mambo. I know what you're thinking, there's no way it was good by then. Even though the bottom piece of bread was a tiny bit soggy, this amazing rye held up to all the glorious goodness this sandwich had to offer. It was out of bounds, it was definitely all over flavortown. Everything in this sandwich worked perfectly together but the banana peppers added the perfect crunch and acidity to it. I loved it. Finally made it here after hearing it mentioned so often in a FB group... it did not disappoint! They had an Easter special you could order in advance to try their coffee and two mini cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Guy. Great way to try two local "legends" at once. The pistachio coffees were so yummy! Loved the pistachio flavoring, so on point. The cheesecakes were pretty delicious, definitely mini, but full of big creamy flavor, but not heavy or heavy handed. We also ordered the French toast muffin, Avocado Toast, Turkey Reuben and Italian sandwiches. Avocado toast was HUGE! Healthy amount of fresh Boars Head lunch meats, soft bread and the most delicious Italian dressing I've ever had. I could drench every sandwich in it! Needless to say, I'll be back and highly recommend. Employee and owner were also so pleasant! I had some time between patients and was right in the area and decided to give this place a try. Originally I was going to grab breakfast at Coney island next door, but when I saw the big painted windows, it drew me here. The reviews on Eat Local Macomb (ELM) on Facebook have always been very good. Living in this area, I frequent this plaza often for different reasons. I'm not typically a cool brew gal. I like hot coffee. But it was a heat index of 107 today. I'm awaiting a new car (taking forever) and my car doesn't have air conditioning. To top it off, my patient didn't have air conditioning. I was ready to melt. Like seriously. Wearing a mask in this heat is cruel and unusual punishment. Lol. That's why I make the big bucks right? (Sarcasm). Anyway, I chose to get my coffee in a cold brew. They can make anything you want in a cold brew which is nice. I love caramel so I chose the salted caramel praline latte. At first I thought they only had cookies and muffins but then the barista showed me the menu. I decided to get a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. I sat down and took my time enjoying my coffee and breakfast sandwich. I will say that the bagel sandwich was on the greasy side, but I think that's unavailable. I sat for a while and people watched. There were some fabulous looking lunch sandwiches coming out of that kitchen. I should have waited and ordered a lunch sandwich. My coffee was absolutely delicious! Everyone was very kind and you could see they got some regulars in there! They knew their customers and you could see that they really and truly cared about them! What a great spot to grab a coffee and delicious sandwich. Thee Old Fashioned Gentleman is new to the cafe scene in the area. Located in a strip mall, this cool cafe boasts an amazing menu. I've been wanting to make it over here for the past few weeks and then I noticed a special they had for Mother's Day. It was a perfect opportunity to grab something for the awesome women in my life. I tried the White Chocolate Strawberry Rose Latte and a ham & cheese croissant served with a mustard aioli. It was fantastic. I ordered a variety of lattes & sandwiches for a special delivery on Sunday morning. The cups were so adorable served with a little flower for decoration. The peanut butter latte was a WOW!!!! If you like peanut butter, this one's for you. It was very rich and delicious. The Mambo Italiano sandwich was stacked with meat and served on fresh rye bread......so YUMMY!
