Was in today to get dinner for my wife and I and for whatever reason my brain wasn't functioning properly forget this for our order until the last second, but instead of getting upset like most worker would a young man by the name of "Chris" whent out of his way to correct my mistakes ( multiple over two subs ) and not only provide me with possibly the best service I've received at any Jersey mikes.. he did so with a positive attitude. I've been store managers for multiple fast food restaurants so I know the type of employee this guy is. One of Jersey Mike's amazing programs in support of the local community is that they team up with schools and offer free regular sized subs for a small donation. There is a recommended minimum donation of $2, but no maximum. 100% of all proceeds go directly to the school, a fabulous event! The school issues 2 pre-printed cards to each student. So far, this fundraising event has happened at least once per school year. If you participate, be sure to leave a tip for the staff as well, after all you're getting a sub for a $2 donation. Jersey Mike's has been in MI for a few years now, originally hailing from the East Coast. They offer a variety of both hot and cold sub sandwiches. While someone line Jimmy John's is freaky fast, Jersey Mike is somewhat the opposite and their M.O. is freshness in the sense that the cold cuts and cheese are sliced fresh right in front of you to make the sub you ordered. They're still pretty quick, but not in the same league as Jimmy John's. The hot subs take a little longer as they also grill the meat only after you place your order, but the results are a fresh hot sub. Regular size subs are anywhere from 6"-7" and large subs run 13"-15" as the bread is made daily. Today we had a Club Sub (cold), a Famous Philly (hot), and a Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheese Steak (hot). #8. The Club. Ham, Turkey, Bacon. You get to customize your veggie toppings, but we chose to have it "Mike's Way" with lettuce, tomato, onions, an olive oil blend, red wine vinegar, and spices. There was a decent amount of turkey and ham, and the bacon was salty but gave off a nice smokiness to the sandwich. The ratio between veggies, meat, and bread looked balanced, but turned out to be good upon tasting. From a comparison perspective, I'd give Jersey Mike's a slight edge over JJ's. 3,5 stars. #17. Their Famous Philly. Their signature hot sub that put them on the map. Grilled onions and green peppers are the veggies of this dish. The cheese was melted nicely, but the proportion of meat to veggies and bread is a little off. I think they could have used more grilled onions and peppers in their mix. From a flavour perspective, nothing stood out for me. The grilled veggies provided a sweetness, but there wasn't much salt to balance the equation. I know that me saying to add more grilled onions and peppers will only make it sweeter, but that just reinforces my point that it needs a veggie to offset it. 3 stars. #26. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheese Steak. This was probably the weakest of the subs from a visual standpoint, but it was also the tastiest, which more than made up for it's appearance. Shredded lettuce and tomatoes complemented the grilled chicken, and is topped off with whole slices of bacon, and ranch dressing. The flavours are very comforting and go well together. Visually, the sub was not proportionate, and the taste confirmed it. It could have used more chicken IMO. Despite this, the bacon ranch salad had enough flavour to carry the sub and left it pretty tasty. 4,5 stars less 0,5 for the lack of meat. 4 stars overall. Overall, I'd give a solid 3,5-4 stars for Jersey Mike's Subs all around. In summary, the Philly could use a little more veggies, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch could use more protein. But the fact that Jersey Mike's have this amazing program to support the local schools, donating an unprecedented 100% of the proceeds, makes it a no brainer in giving them an easy honorary 5 stars. In all honesty, I'm not that big a fan of sub sandwiches, but I make it a point to go and buy them when this program is in effect. We ordered three subs despite only having two cards, but it's all about investing in our kids, and our society of future generations. This location is where it all began for me. My first sub was the #13 Italian done Mike's Way. I have never looked back and search out this franchise wherever I travel. This store also sets the bar. Excellent customer service from the moment you walk in. I was greeted and promptly asked what I would like. I had a couple of special requests for my order but it was no problem. Four stars but three of them are for past performance. I am a sub guy, love em and Jersey Mike's are usually the best. This store recently reopened after a renovation, during the renovation I was given two coupons for a free sub-no purchase necessary. This was true to the word. Luckily I had the coupon because if I had paid for this I would have been very upset. Looked like a new crew and one that wasn't trained very well. The guy making the sub nearly destroyed the bun while cutting it, didn't look like he had run the slicers before and the guy that finished was even worse. We had a coupon that was going to expire so we decided to give Jersey Mike's a try. I tried the turkey breast and provolone made Mike's way. It's easy to admit that it was definitely one of the better subs I've tasted. I am giving it four stars even though it deserves five. The reason I'm giving it four is only because I was going to eat it in the car and as soon as I unwrapped it, I realized it would not be a good idea to do so. But anyways, after driving home, I unwrapped it and decided to put it on a dinner plate. It's a good thing I did because as I thought, it got pretty messy. But the messy eating only added to the delicious flavor. Would I recommend this place? Yes, without a doubt. Not only was the food exactly what i wanted but the staff was Amazing!! They did their job perfectly and they were so nice and had great peronalities. We really like this place, food is always consistent and great every time. We've never had an issue with ordering and the staff is always pleasant. With all the sandwich chains popping up all over I hadn't gotten around to Jersey Mikes until recently. To me it was just your average sub shop, nothing special. I had a small chicken philly, the meat was a bit on the dry side and could have used some kind of sauce (like in an actually philly). Typically, find this place average and convenient so I would normally rate it a 3 or 4. However, they seem to be struggling to find reasonable employees lately. During my last visit, after paying, employee jokes "do you want a finger in that" while cutting the meat for a salad. I responded by stating that I found the comment inappropriate, turned my stomach and no longer wanted the salad. Employee seemed amazed gave me the sandwich that was already made and said "have a good day". Didn't apologize or offer to refund my $. I will not be returning to that location. read more

I've been to a couple of locations and this one tastes fine but it looks sloppy. Not anything major but I think if they focused on some detailed cleaning and paid attention to how they keep their supplies and food out I would enjoy this place more. There was half cut bread all over the counter (it wasn't busy by the way), the bread cloth was sloppily laid over the bread rack, the cookies were not organized....Just little things but they add up. read more

We used to love going to this location for the freshness and the quick service. The last few times we have gone here, we have waited 20 plus minutes in line because they fill the onlline orders as soon as they walk in and that stops the line from moving. They need a dedicated person to fill the online orders so the wake in people don't have to wait as long. Also the lettuce is brown move often then not lately. OMG the #14 Mike's Way is so good!!! I am addicted seriously. It's so bad that the guy who works there knows my order when I come in lmao. Aside from the sub, the employees are friendly and are always working hard when I come in rather than standing around doing nothing. They have a good crew there. I'm not much of a sub fan outside of this gem. Therefore I am surprised by how much I like this. I even passed up a Mexican dinner in favor of the sub which if you know me is really saying something Lol. I swear I'm not 500 lbs either. It's just that good. These subs are excellent. Cold subs: gotta get the Italian "Mikes Way" and add the Cherry Pepper Relish. For Hot subs: I recommend the Big Kahuna and add Chipotle mayo. The prices are similar to other sub shops, but their quality and fresh sliced meats gives Jersey Mikes the edge! read more

Bread was fresh staff very nice but it was like I got a vegetarian sub not one with meat. The meat and cheese was sliced so thin it was like it wasn't there at all. If I wanted a vegetarian sub I would of ordered one. read more
