I've made a review about this place about a year ago and i went back hoping it had changed and it didn't. I ordered the new dragon fruit smoothie and it tasted like BANANAS. So i asked for a redo or could i get another option. The manager named ROMELLO. Told me the dragon fruit smoothie is suppose to taste like bananas and refused to make me another because he made it. And he made it correctly. He legit was trying to bicker with me while acting like a little girl. He didn't listen to anything i said as a customer. He LACKS customer service and everything else. They need to get rid of him. He SUCKS. read more

The service by the young folks is slow with a side of attitude. Also this is not the first time I've arrived 29 minutes after the listed opening time and there was a sign on the door that they weren't opening til 830. Even then the young lady had an attitude about opening the door smh. read more

I am trying really hard to support this local establishment. However, placed an on-line order super early this morning. Had a change in my schedule and needed to move up my order. I gave them a 45 minute notice and they still couldn't adjust. Not to mention they told me it would take 4-5 days to process an on-line refund. The young man helping was very polite, yet just could not help me resolve my issue successfully. As others have indicated, It's a poorly managed franchise. Please provide the appropriate leadership for your employees. The fail is the owners responsibility not the employees. I can't continue to do business with this particular location though I was hopeful. I'm all for supporting the community, but the establishments have to value my dollar. read more

Awful establishment. Always takes 30+ minutes to get a smoothie and staff isn't very friendly or professional. All that would be forgivable if the smoothies weren't always SO bad. They never taste sweet enough, are always chunky, and the recipes don't seem to be accurate. I love tropical smoothie and visit many locations and this is by far the worst one. I always feel like I have wasted my time and money by visiting this location. This location is less than 3 minutes from my house but from now on I will be taking the 20 minute drive to the capital heights location. I really hope the quality and service at this location improves but as of right now, I have made my last visit to Tropical Smoothie in Clinton. read more

Extremely slow service. I ordered a smoothie in store and took over 30 minutes to receive the smoothie. The staff joke around and talk amongst theirselves like it's not people waiting. I have never been to a location where I had to wait over 30 mins for ONE smoothie. The staff seemed as though they didn't even care, I will not be returning back to this location. read more

This is absolutely one of the worst Tropical Smoothies In the DMV!! Start with 1. Sanitary. On more than on occasion I watched the staff grab every ingredient with tongs or spoon except the spinach and kale they Grab with THEIR HANDS!! that has touched multiple surfaces. One time I asked them to remake it and not use their hands. 2. They do not properly measure the ingredients and are inconsistent. They hardly use any spinach and kale and go only off personal gauges which is clearly off and an incorrect amount.! I have seen them use less when the bucket is getting low they will skimp just to complete the order! Also customer service is awful!! The Tropical in Potomac Yards should be the example for every tropical franchise.. they pre measure the spinach and kale and have them bagged individually in sandwich bags to assure the right amount, they also have great customer service! I will drive out of the way before I support the Clinton location ever again!!!!! read more

As much as I love Tropical Smoothie, this will be my absolute last time at this location. What's the point of selecting what I want with my order if I still have to ask for it when I get there?! I ordered the Three Cheese Quesadilla with a side of salt and vinegar chips and picked the side of salsa. When I get there to pick up my order there's no chips or salsa in the bag. When I asked for my chips the girl at the register asked what kind I wanted...I said salt and vinegar and she said they were all out. Cool I understand running out but y'all could've at least said something to me when I picked up the order instead of just handing me the bag without the chips and sending me on my way. After giving me an alternate bag of chips, I asked for the salsa that's supposed to come with the quesadilla and the girl at the register appeared to have an attitude. Had y'all had all of my stuff together as I ordered, I wouldn't be standing here asking for it now! Not to mention I always have to check my quesadillas before I leave this location bc although I always order the Three Cheese Quesadilla online, they have given me several of the Three Cheese Chicken Quesadillas (I don't eat chicken), although that's not what I ordered, and I didn't realize until I was all the way home. I'm looking forward to the new one opening up in Upper Marlboro and praying I have a much better experience at that one than I have here. read more

I've been to this particular TSCafe several times. The lack of proper etiquette training there is unnerving. I had a smoothie made incorrectly and instead of trying to correct it or even acknowledge me or my concerns, they just looked away and continued to make other people's smoothies. Second time, just this past week, which is during the pandemic time, the lazy ladies in there were making smoothies and not letting people know their items were ready. As a result, people were touching everyone's smoothies and bags looking for their orders... Totally unsafe and unsanitary!!! And their attitudes are funky!!! That was the final straw of visiting that location. Please provide some training for these young kids.... read more

I do not like making negative reviews but I did not have a food experience today. I know that it was a lot of people waiting so being overwhelmed happens! I get that but my smoothie was TERRIBLE! It was so watery in appearance and tasted just like it too. I wish I would have tasted it before I left out smh I was unable to come back in the store to return it so I called but no one answered and their answering machine is apparently full. Im hoping to get in contact with someone soon. I put two stars because my chicken apple slaw flatbread was made perfectly! Hopefully things improve in the future. read more

This location is horrible. Smelled awful. Smoothie tasted flat. No flavor at all. The bag the Flatbread came in was greasy. Place was dirty. Especially during the Coronavirus lockdown you would think they would step up their game. 10-12 people standing around waiting on orders.Loud explicit Rap Music playing. I placed order on app and have them extra 10min to prepare what I ordered it still wasnt ready. I through the wrap out the window on Branch Ave. Maybe a wild animal will eat it. Doubt it. I looked forward to having this establishment in my neighborhood, but I find my self avoiding this location due to the poor customer service and incompetent staff. Online orders are always behind by 15 minutes or more, and the staff needs some adult supervision. I understand the idea of empowering the youth, but an experienced adult on site could really help with their operation. Having great stores open up in underserved areas don't mean much if the service is poor. read more

I ordered a flat bread wrap and ask them not to put bacon on my wrap. I sat by the bar so I was able to see the employee making my food. The employee was making different sandwiches so I wasn't sure which was mine. I see the employee put bacon in one of the sandwiches then see her opening the wrap back up and picking the bacon out of the sandwich instead of remaking it. That was pretty disgusting and lazy. I told the employee to remake my wrap but other than that situation the food is pretty good. read more

I went when it was open for about a month. Probably the most disappointed I've ever been when ordering a smoothie. Although they had plenty of staff, it took way too long to make the smoothie. I finally get the smoothie and almost a fifth of it is missing (smoothies not filled up is a pet peeve). I present the smoothie to the owner and he says, "I'm sorry about that but we're very busy." What does that have to do with you not giving me all of my smoothie. No offer for money off or money off on the next visit. I was already running late so I couldn't argue it. Started drinking the peanut butter smoothie and I immediately wished a Smoothie King or Robeks had opened here instead. I haven't been back and won't go back. read more

This location is the worst .. my smoothie didn't taste or look how it's suppose to look .. the guy attempted to make it over .. still the same .. then I asked for a refund because I didn't like it I've been coming to this tropical smoothie since it opened .. my smoothie has NEVER LOOKED or Tasted like that since I've being going instead of the manager giving me a refund he made every excuse under the sun of why my Bahama Mama should be pale pink/ white instead of the deep pink and why it tasted like just coconut water instead of tasting like strawberries& pineapples .. since I got it made over there's nothing they can do about me not liking it ! As of yesterday 01/06/2020, I ordered my normal which was the turkey/cheddar kids wrap, a blueberry bliss, and the jalapeño chips. After placing my order, I realized that I forgot to advise the cashier (young female) might I add, was very professional/nice to put less than the normal amount of sugar due to being on a strict intake. After realizing and requesting to speak with a Manager, I was subject to the DISMISSIVE, RUDE, and CONDESCENDING like interaction with the young female by the name of Ashlee, who happened to be the Manager. The young lady proceeds to advise that due to the smoothie already being prepped, they cannot make another one. Mind you, the smoothie is sitting on the counter with other orders waiting to be blended. I advised the young lady that she needs to work on her approach when speaking to the general public. Her "SMART MOUTH" rebuttal was "YOU DON'T ADVISE ME OF ANYTHING". Be mindful that she is a "SMART MOUTH" 27 year old, who apparently knows no better. "Because when you know better, you do better". To advise when asking for the ownership, she has this approach whereas the assumption is that she trumps the ownership, relative to filing a formal or verbal complaint. What I did was call Tropical Smoothies Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA at (770) 821-1900. I was advised that someone would be corresponding. To advise, the staff and the young adults are pretty much great! What negates the team and their efforts, is the "MANAGER" discussed and her approach to the customer. ATTENTION OWNERSHIP!!!
