There were different types of tables/seating to choose from and everyone seemed to be smiling and in a good mood. They were playing a mix of R&B that included T-Pain, Snoh Allegra, Musiq Soulchild, and Bruno Mars to name a few. They had beautiful paintings of various influential figures in Black art and culture on the walls, and upcoming events shown on a screen behind the bar which I especially appreciated (They have karaoke on Thursdays!) There was also a band set up in the front, and I instantly made a mental note to return for the live music. - I ordered the iced "LCD" latte to drink and the Avocado Smash for a quick bite. I really enjoyed the LCD. I'd consider it to be more lavender forward but I love floral/herby flavored coffee drinks so I was absolutely okay with that. My avocado toast was pretty good and reasonably priced at $12 - There is an easy, laid back vibe so I don't recommend visiting when in a rush. Mix and Mingle is absolutely a place where you want to stay awhile, and I look forward to visiting again

We were quickly seated and approached by our waitress who also-served as the bartender that afternoon. Because she was genuinely pleasant it made our dining experience inviting. The menu ranged from breakfast biscuits, fried green tomatoes, avocado, toast, etc. so it was hard to determine what to eat, because it was a tossup between cheesecake pancakes and the Biscoff chicken and waffles. Guess who won! With the other combination of soup sandwiches desserts inside you can never go wrong here at milk and honey. This is definitely a land of Milk and Honey! I'm happy they have a kids menu because there's no way these babies would've been able to finish an entree. Beware the kids menu notes a 7 and under age limit. Two of the kids had fried chicken and fries, they said it was tasty. I tasted a fry and it was crispy and freshly dropped. I had the fried fish and grits. The fish was crispy and juicy, just a tad over salted. The grits were creamy and balanced. Also my lavender lemonade was tasty too! One of the older kids snagged the chicken Cajun pasta. She didn't like the chicken but really enjoyed pasta. I gave the pasta a bite and wasn't a fan of the flavor profile so left her meal alone lol. We then ended the meal with the butter cake. Unfortunately it had a sour taste so I sent it back, I was disappointed for sure.

They didn't have home fries and I don't eat grits. I asked to have corned beef hash instead of the home fries and meat. Price came up to the same as if you paid for the platter and paid for a side of corned beef. I addressed this and was told that the side of hash was more. I politely looked at the menu and disagreed. The menu priced it at $5.99 and I just paid over $6 to sub out the meat. That doesn't make sense. The cook states that they already took off $1 for no HF or grits. That's a lie. At most $.38 came off. We compared the price to if we did it online and it would be the exact same as buying a whole platter and adding the hash on the side. I feel scammed and they played in my face. All I got was French toast, eggs, and hash for over $20. I won't come back.

We ordered our food online for pick up on their website which was seamless. The staff inside was really friendly. There is plenty of seating if you would like to eat in, but most people looked to be carrying out. I got the French toast platter with turkey bacon. It comes with a side and I chose the home fries because my brother wanted home fries which he said were really good. You have so many options when ordering online in terms of how crispy you want your bacon and how well done you want your pancakes or French toast. I got both of mine, the standard amount of doneness and everything was really good as well as cooked perfectly. French toast and turkey bacon are my go to breakfast when I am eating out and I will definitely come back here for this. My brother got the platter #1 with an extra scrambled egg, an extra side of bacon, and grits. It also comes with toast of your choice, but he ate it before I was able to take a photo of it. My brother really enjoyed his food as well. He had no notes. His bacon was cooked crispy, which he liked. His grits were well seasoned and if you would like you can also get so many variations on the grits, but he got it with just butter. Same thing with the eggs you have so many variations you can do with them, but he got them scrambled hard, which was perfect for him. All in all, we will definitely be back here for breakfast. Highly recommend for breakfast we will also have to try their other food as well for lunch at some point.

This location looked to be fairly new. It was clean, we visited very early in the morning and we were kind of disappointed in the service part of it. The employees were not as friendly and it felt like they were just there to socialize instead of run the business. We ordered 2 jalapeno and cheese kolaches and 2 glazed donuts. Every Shipley's I've visited always gave you hot kolaches and warm glazed donuts that literally melt in your mouth. At this location, this was not the case. The kolache was barely warm which made it nearly impossible to eat since the cheese was not melty and the sausage was cold inside. The glazed donut was not fresh at all. It seemed like it was sitting there for a while, but Shipley's is known for their warm glazed donuts. This experience definitely was NOT the one we expected and next time we will skip visiting here in other states because we know the quality will not be the same as the original!

Food is prepared as it's ordered. They have a hot bar with some offerings and other things are listed on the menu. Rotating specials on various days and overall, my portion vs price paid was generous. The guy working was doing it all solo since his co-worker left and didn't tell him. I was in no hurry and he was quite efficient in handling walk in customers and their drive thru window. Of note, if you don't ask for cutlery or condiments, it's understood that you didn't want them. He was pleasant and didn't do much talking because he was working. They have canned soft drinks, from a dispenser lemonade, sweet tea and are happy to make it a half and half. I got sweet tea and it had a weird taste. This made me think that it's from a mix and not brewed. I didn't event drink it all because the taste was off-putting. I went with the turkey wings, collard greens and sweet potatoes. Thank goodness the sweet potatoes weren't overly sweetened. The turkey wings weren't as tender as mine and needed some attention to detail to remove the small remnants of feathers. The greens had to much stalk and were not from a can. Seasoning on the food was to my liking, but not overdone. My friend had a taste for fish and went with the 2 piece catfish combo. The fish was fried to order and was piping hot when she sat down to eat. Their sides were macaroni and cheese and collard greens. They enjoyed their food but the mac and cheese had a "made with liquid cheese" vibe to it and thats what made me not select it. Parking is on the side of the building or you can park in the rear and walk to the front. The door faces the street and the back of the building is towards the shopping area. If in the area, I may visit and try other things they have. Capable of contactless pay, cash and credit cards.

I just tasted it and it was good-8.5/10 taste wise. Seafood pizza was a little bland. I added some salt and red pepper flakes and it made a huge difference. 7/10. The pan crust was yummy though. The free bread they give you is good-it has cheese on top and I asked for another plate with no issue. Meal: Stuffed flounder-my sun loved it-he said 9/10 I asked why not 10 and he said bc it wasn't the best thing he's ever had but he definitely took one bite and said mmm this is good! I didn't care for it that much but I don't like flounder and not a fan of the sauce. 7/10 for me Shrimp Marinara with spaghetti noodles-it was really good. I was actually pretty full by this point but I give it 9/10. There's plenty of sauce so you don't have to worry about dry noodles. There was a fair amount of shrimp as well. Very garlicky so if you don't like garlic you won't like this. The setting is alright. I'll take a pic. Wooden tables and booths. There were a few annoying flies that kept buzzing around.
