Slooooooooooow service! It's a sunny Saturday afternoon and there are at least 20 people waiting for their items. Thirty min later and we still do not have our smoothie. Terrible customer service Do not use the pay now app! It said two smoothies would be ready in 10 mins , I get there a few mins early and was told it would be 20-30 mins before they would be ready. So no problem cancel my order says I can't my manager has to because you paid online. It was going to take hours before she could get to it and they were not providing me with any proof I cancelled ! The smoothies at this new establishment are quite good, however, the service feels far from. Expect every employee to be about 18 years old, female, and not very polite. Stopped there and there was one customer in front of us. Wife ordered the Baja chicken and I ordered the Caribbean jerk wrap. Specifically told the person at the counter about a milk allergy. No problem, remove the cheese. So we place the order and pay and tip and wait and wait and wait and wait. About 20 minutes later....wraps come out. I look at at and yep, they put cheese. 20 minute wait for 2 wraps and they mess it up. Told the counter i wanted a refund....another says, sorry and walked away. So bottom line....paid, tipped, and horrible service. Got the refund for my wrap and left. You get a 2 because wife said her wrap was good. Too bad. We won't be back again. read more

I just visited here last night. It was my first experience at any location. Let me say this... if this rating were based solely on the taste and quality of the smoothie, it would be getting five stars. The peanut butter cup indulgent smoothie was pure heaven. The wait for it was kind of long and after tasting it, it was totally worth it and I definitely plan to return soon. Unfortunately, the service was meh. As I mentioned, it was my first time ever coming here and as soon as I walked in, the girl was like, "What can I get for you?" Lmao how about a hello, how are you, please feel free to ask questions/ look at the menu, etc. I told her it was my first time and that I would need a minute to see what they offer. I'm not sure if what I preferred comes in one size only or if she just automatically gave me a large without asking. I ended up drinking the whole thing but still haha. We went into this location at 12:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday and was informed that there was at least a 45 min wait to order a smoothie. I was unaware that a fast food place needed you to make a reservation to get a smoothie. They don't even really cook all they do is make frozen fruit smoothies, salads, and put sandwiches through a toaster oven. The real kicker was the man working the counter was trying to persuade people not to order. I have never seen such cluster of employes not knowing what to do. I will never be back again. This is for the NEW STORE IN LAPEER, MI, not the Davison,MI location, Lapeer doesn't show up here yet. Waited in the drive thru, this is no joke or exaggeration, 43 MINUTES, as the inside of the busy store was cleared out and 5 more customers came and left with orders, while the drive thru was ignored. There were only 3 cars ahead of us, by the time the car in front of us got to the window we had been there a little over 15 minutes. We waited another 15 minutes for the car in front of us to get her 1 sandwich and her 1 smoothie. After waiting 30 minutes we finally got to the drive thru window where we were told we had 1 Health Nut Smoothie coming soon, we ordered 3. Once the cashier told the guy making the smoothies that we "wanted to add 2 more" the guy flipped, said "they can't add to their order, they need to get back in line and order again", we were stunned and not getting back in line. After the cashier realized it was HER mistake, she did apologize and said they would get us our smoothies ASAP. We sat and watched 2 more customers walk inside the store, order and LEAVE before we got our smoothies, which happened 5 times with people going in and coming out, as we sat. By the time we got our smoothies, we had been in LINE FOR 43 MINUTES, with a kid and 3 dogs in the car, it was not fun. Nobody should ever have to wait that long in any drive thru. I realize this is a new store, but come on, how can they FORGET ABOUT THE DRIVE THRU, which had 4 cars behind us, who also waited 30-40 minutes, I had never seen anything like it and hope I don't again. We will never go through the drive thru at the Lapeer, Mi Tropical Smoothie Café, ever and I recommend everyone go inside where you will get fast service, while the drive thru wraps around the building and wait for all of the people inside to be taken care of 1st. Never in my 47 years of life have I sat in a drive thru that long, and never will again. GET IT TOGETHER, and never tell a customer they can't add something to an order, especially when you messed up this big. CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, better get that point across to your employees.
