Server told me that these an upgrade for certain toast. Didn't say which. I asked for Texas toast and got charged, so, ask 1st!

The White Horse Inn is always a favorite. It's suitable for any occasion, dress up or dress down,…read moreand you and your party will still be comfortable and enjoy a great meal. Some of my favorites are the potato chip fish, the classic turkey dinner, and always the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies (to eat there or take home for later). While I haven't tried the igloos yet since I have an aversion to driving when it may snow, inside is always fun (while it's large, the vibe is cozy with tons of details), and outside is great in the late spring and summer for sure.

No one else seated in that area at that time. With entire floor empty, four of us were seated at the table at the back where all traffic to and from kitchen must pass. Not a problem, but by the time we had dinner with dessert, the entire area was filled with customers...subjecting us to the constant in/out business of the kitchen traffic. Clearly we were given the noisiest and worse table in a location where there was not a single occupied table. I didn't think we appeared that undesirable. The bill for our dinners with dessert came to almost $300...two of us had salmon with plum sauce, a dish we enjoyed and have had on prior visits. My complaint...1 person asked for extra plum sauce to take with her leftover salmon. She received a plastic container with approximately 3 ounces of sauce. The charge $3.00. I am not cheap, or I wouldn't be treating people to rib-eye steak or salmon that we enjoyed at a place like White Horse Inn. But...I do consider WHI to be cheap and willing to sacrifice losing a customer with that kind of service, or lack thereof. I know that you are popular, serve good food and I understand why that is true. No doubt you won't miss the four customers you have lost over the above issues.

They serve flavorful coffee from a local business too here at Brunch @ Joe's. I was watching My great nephew in Almont play flag football early on Saturday the 14th of September. A grab and go granola bar from home didn't satisfy my 7am hunger. Therefore after his 2 quarter game we walked in at 10am and found a large table /booth to accommodate our group of 5, NO Reservations, just 1st come 1st serve and sit down. I counted 4 different waitresses that helped each other out with serving orders of plates and refills on drinks too, so great teamwork with smiles, and speedy service on food. Everyone enjoyed their HUGE omelets (Made with 3 Eggs) , hungry breakfast platter, Nephew had a plain waffle with loaded syrup and we shared a plate of 4 links of sausage. I was stuffed after My chocolate chip waffle with coffee. A busy place on a Saturday yet tables were being taken care of by all Staff. Afterwards we all were ready to walk off our delicious breakfast by attending the Heritage Festival and Classic Car Show in downtown Almont. Brunch @ Joe's is a hometown place where again the locals chat with each other and embrace with a hug when entering. GO RAIDERS ! This town and diner place is "Where everybody knows, your name... And they're always glad you came!" I'm looking forward to enjoy a Lunch meal here tasting their famous sandwich wrap! Hours: Monday - Sunday 7 AM - 3PM Address: 208 N. Main St., Almont, MI. 48003 Phone: (810) 798-2272 Business is enrolled and listed with the DDA under restaurants. Sincerely, Karen N. SpecialK :-)

We were quickly offered coffee which was typical diner fare. My wife didn't care for it, but I'd certainly had worse. We heard about the specials and took both. One was a Doc Holliday skillet which was typical skillet material but also had country gravy. The other special was a Stuffed Strawberry French Toast dish. We also ordered the suggested Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. We knew we'd have some to take home to the kids. The pancakes were a little dry as was the biscuit were traded our toast for; but everything else was pretty great. The service was fast but somewhat rushed and inpersonal. They were busy, but not THAT busy. An all around 4.2 rounds down to 4.

Enjoyed sitting in a booth in the window. There are cute tables for outdoor seating in good weather but they are right on street so I likely would choose to sit inside. The food was good. I ordered the gravy omelet. Good portion and potatoes were perfectly crisp. The sourdough bread is $1 more. I think next time I would try white bread. Couldn't really taste the sourdough flavor but had great crumb. The gravy was outstanding just like my mom made. A friend tried the egg sandwich. The waitress said it was a croissant but looked like a biscuit. My friend said it was tasty. The e sausage were links which was a unique twist. I do have to say it was a little chilly so I was glad I had my sweater on! But hard with Michigan back and forth weather to properly regulate the temp.
