I placed my order online for pickup and got there early, I didn't mind waiting. They didn't seem busy and I wasn't in a rush. The cashier stated she hasn't even received my online order yet. I showed her the online receipt, and she continued to assist the incoming customers. Another worker acknowledged my order and gave me a thumbs up so I sat down. A few moments passed and the worker gave me my sides, an order of sweet potatoes and jalapeño corn. The corn look half eaten so I showed it to the employee and he looked somewhat puzzled. I said it's not full so he said I'll just give you a new one. Another few moments passed and my smoothie comes out which is exactly like I ordered, and another jalapeño corn. However, it looks identical to the first. Apparently, these are pre-made which is sad because I'm not expecting it to be overflowing but that's pretty sad I would think. I ordered a "Hawaiian" flatbread, only to be informed that they had run out of the barbecue sauce. Isn't it the management job to gauge demand and adjust accordingly? The poor servers seem like unmotivated robots, and they lack the listening skills to get the order right the first time. They also forgot to add the crispy onions! Literally so rude here, i was patiently waiting for my order that was a smoothie and sandwich and when i first ordered i asked to put my rewards number in and the man at the counter said to my face " i'm not sure what you're asking" in the most rudest tone, isn't all tropical smoothies required to ask if you have a phone number with them to receive rewards? This man was completely unprofessional and acting sarcastic. He was wearing a leather jacket with a beanie??? Like isn't there a uniform. I was trying to stay nice but when i got my smoothie and was waiting for my sandwich he called my name. I DoorDashEd a sandwich and smoothie from this location, when my door dasher was waiting to pick up my food he called me to notify me that he witnessed the employee that was making my sandwich drop it on the ground, pick it up, put it back together and then stick his finger in my drink and putting his finger in his mouth to taste it or whatever he was doing. He also let me know that this employee was not wearing gloves either while this happened. he called me to suggest that I cancel my order and order food somewhere else. I placed an order through the app around 8:15am. The store was supposed to open at 8am. I arrived at 8:30 to locked doors and a closed business. Since I placed the order as asap in the app, I was not able to cancel the order. Sadly, I waited 30 minutes for the employee to arrive. It was quite awkward to engage with the employee who arrived late. This seems to be an issue with this location. There seems to be a management issue that needs to be addressed. If there is no solution maybe just shut down the location. I'm not sure how I would have handled this if I didn't just have 30 minutes to wait. Additionally, being able to cancel in the app would be a good change, $30 would have been a lot to leave and worry about not getting back. I hope Front Royal gets a Smoothie King, maybe healthy competition would motivate this store to do better. Prior to being advised by T. Smoothie in the response to this review, I had actually already done what was suggested based on another response to a poor review. Looks like communication/follow ups to complaints/ reviews may be another area for improvement. While the yelp review T. Smoothie person offered to make it right, I suspect in a few months we will see another review similar to mine as it is clearly a pattern for this location. Make it right by updating the store hours, hiring better management and staff or thoroughly investigating the issue and then making whatever change needs to be made. read more

I've given this location a few chances, hoping I just caught them on an off day, but I'm pretty positive 2 stars is the norm. Do NOT come here if you don't have time to spare. Average wait to place your order is 5-10 min. Avg time to receive a smoothie only is 8-10 min and if you order food and aren't friends with one of the employees, forget it. 3 times we waited over 20 minutes for quesadillas and a salad. If you come here often enough like I do, you notice a pattern. There is ALWAYS a wait. You WILL be neglected. They WILL get your order wrong. The manager IS awful to his employees. The restrooms are NEVER clean. It's NEVER the same staff. They are ALWAYS out of products. I have witnessed the manager be rude and inappropriate to his employees. Best Tropical Smoothie I have ever been to (no lie) and I've been to about a dozen. The decor is the same as every other tropical smoothie, though it's a little bigger than most. The staff is courteous and friendly and haven't gotten my (somewhat complicated) order wrong once. The smoothies always come out just right, and the food is always top knotch. My favorite wrap is the early bird which can be really bad is made wrong, but the chicken is always tasty, and eggs are always firm but not dry, and the salsa tastes fresher at this one. I'm so glad to have a little slice of nova in my back yard. I eat here like two or three times a week. :X read more

Ok, I have to write this, even at the risk of sounding like a smoothie snob! While reading please keep in mind i am a HUGE fan of Jamba Juice, So i may be spoiled! I tried the Rockin Raspberry and My husband had the Blimey Limey. Neither one of us liked or finished even 1/2 of our drinks. We found it strange that sugar (we choose splenda ) was added. Doesn't fruit produce enough sugar on its own? All i could taste was the splenda making my drink way too sweet ;( On a positive note the staff were extremely nice, patient and kid friendly! They even cut the straws so they were kid sized! I don't know what the last review was about, but we've always had great smoothies there and the fact that they don't use syrup is a plus. On several occasions, they've omitted and added fruit or ingredients including no sweeteners, extra protein or just substituting a fruit I didn't like... I'm slowly working my way through the food menu but the buffalo chicken wrap and the Roast Beef Wasabi sandwhiches are my favorite... oh and the Lobster Bisk it great too!! Its a little pricey for a smoothie and a sandwhich ($9-$10) but we leave full, and feel good about what we ate. I can't believe how long we had to wait for water cups, let alone our food. I have been there several times for smoothies and they are delicious and semi-quick. Food is an entirely different story. We ordered chicken wraps and salad and waited over 40 minutes while others got their items even though they came in after us. We waited 20 minutes for water cups and they ended up only bringing us cups of ice (no water unless purchasing water bottles) and the ice cubes had chunks of items on it. My wife loves the Blimey Limey with extra lime. My daughter ordered some smoothie that had Ghiradelli chocolate and asked if she could have the white chocolate instead. They gladly made the adjustments. I had . . . forget the name, but it had Ghiradelli chocolate and yogurt in it. My wife and daughter both loved theirs, while I thought that a regular chocolate shack would have been better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, I will just try something else next time. I've been here a few times so far and I have no complaints. The Blimey Limey smoothie is great - a combo of strawberry, pineapple, lemon, and lime. First time, I got it with the default turbonado sugar. Meh, but I don't add sugar to tea, coffee, anything, so it was too sweet for me. Next time, I got it with half of the regular amount of Splenda, as the cashier told me that it is really tart and some sweetness helps. Halved splenda was decent but I'll try it next without any sweetner. Just the fruit, please. They have an array of wraps and sandwiches - the southwestern chicken wrap was good. They have dessert smoothies and coffee smoothies in addition to the traditional fruit and healthnutty stuff. Oh, and the girls that work there are very friendly. This is the worst Tropical Smoothie I've ever been to. I had to wait 30 minutes for one sandwich and one smoothie and I wasn't the only one. I did not get an apology for waiting so long once my order was complete. Not only that, but 1 of the ONLY 3 employees working during lunch time on a Saturday was apparently new had a piss poor attitude and was blaming non-training on her mistakes instead of apologizing and owning up to it. As a viewer of this practice, the manager of this establishment has no business being a manager. The manager in question quite regularly is not present in his own establishment. He is never there to settle disputes, handle employees/customers, etc etc. The staff (predominately all under aged females) are left sometimes all day without the manager coming in once. This leaves these workers in a very dangerous situation. They have no adult super vision or protection if something were to happen. If the manager wishes to not do his job, then he should either: hire another manager to come in, or pay the current employees, who are doing his job, a manager's salary. It is unfair to workers, who are running his store, to be paid anything less while this manager is making multiple times the amount of money his workers make without even coming into his restaurant. This is a welcome newcomer to an area with not much selection. The store is extremely clean, and there are a few small tables outside for dining... I had been to these before in Virginia Beach, and the food is still excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. The food and smoothies are made fresh, so you may have to wait a few minutes (especially around lunchtime), but it's worth it. I'll definately become a regular!!
