    - Ordered ahead on the app for pick-up; my order was on the pick-up shelf right at the promised time, which I appreciated - Bright, clean space with a few bar stool seats if you want to sit and eat - Since this was an online order, interaction with staff was limited, but everyone I encountered was friendly and welcoming - Unfortunately, the food itself didn't quite hit the mark: the Açaí Bowl with Nutella did not travel well and was mostly melted within about 15 minutes--the Nutella "drizzle" was very thick and clumped together, making it difficult to enjoy; the Jalapeño Corn side was chewy and watery, with very little flavor beyond heat - Portions also felt smaller than what's advertised, which added to the disappointment

We went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe yesterday afternoon to order and bring home. I ordered Buffalo Chicken wrap, no sauces in it, and wanted it to be on the side.My extra side was the baked lays chips. My smoothie was an Island Punch smoothie, no Turbinado (an extra sweetner). When we got home, my Buffalo Chicken wrap had the ranch in it. The sauces on the side, it was less than halfway, I was very surprised it was given to me this way, which will barely enough in the containers. I would have preferred a dry wrap and added the sauces in when I wanted. My husband ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich. When he ordered, the cashier kept saying Chicken Bacon ranch, he corrected her and then moved forward. The cashier repeated our entire order, only to find out our food was this way. He was stuck with the order with chicken instead of wanting Turkey. I understand Tropical Smoothie café recently opened in Hackensack. I am excited this move is finally here. We saw that the employees were working hard to assure speed and accuracy. However, my recommendations are that if an order is repeated for accuracy, the food should be followed with directions, too. Staff was friendly, all payments are accepted, and big parking is shared within the shopping center. The area was clean, and everything was organized well to find out where to pick up orders. I will return when things take some time. I know it's going to work out well. Best wishes on the grand opening in Hackensack.

This drink was definitely refreshing on a hot summer day like today, my favorite by far is the slimey Limey Smoothie!!

    Smoothies are not full.

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe and was so excited that one was coming to the area. But recently the orders have not been correct for example, adding chicken to non chicken orders. Today, ordered 2 smoothies and neither are full. Just disappointing. Don't think we'll be going back mistake after mistake.

    Sweet potatoes were burnt.

The place has a fantastic selection of sandwiches and salads, but I went for the highly recommended #11 (the Highland). This sandwich is loaded with roasted turkey, cheddar, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and herbed mayo. I arrived early enough to take advantage of their lunch special, which is a great deal at $10.50. I got half a sandwich along with a choice of field green salad or soup of the day. I chose the ham and navy bean soup, and it was hearty with chunks of delicious ham, making it quite filling. Overall, I'm glad I stopped in today. The food was not only delicious but also a great value. The server was friendly and genuinely appreciative of my visit, especially with the recent attention from the article. We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next. However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks. Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O's Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather. Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more. We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings. Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn't skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly. Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.

If you aren't craving an original sandwich, you can always order fat sandwich style versions of a cheesesteak, such as the disco and the ron man. Both of these monsters also had their share of shaved rib eye, but the disco was loaded with poutine and the ron man had chicken fingers & mozzarella sticks. It was an interesting, but satisfying combination. The hot daddy was not so hot, in my honest opinion. Having the appearance of a tuna fish sandwich and topped with raw onions, the taste didn't suit me. I think the onions would have tasted a lot better if they were sautéed.
