Purchased the açaí bowl to go, when I arrived at my destination, literally 2 minutes away. I wait 10 minutes before I tried to eat my bowl. It was frozen solid. After letting it sit a little while longer I finally got to taste it a noticed a different taste, possibly chocolate or something other than what I ordered (maybe it was Nutella). The service was great today however the food was lacking. It took approximately an hour or so before my açaí bowl thawed out enough to eat it. I have found this location is hit or miss. read more

LOVE this place and the service is excellent. I started using the app to pre-order my smoothies and it's been great! My favorite is the Bahama Mama and I add in pea protein for the added benefit. It's a little over 500 calories but makes a great meal and tastes delicious! I used to add in collagen but it has a weird consistency so I prefer it without. I've also tried a few of their food items and the chicken bacon ranch flatbread is really good. My absolute favorite is the Thai Chicken Wrap - you've gotta try it. Soooo good! read more

I am amazed at how many complainers there are about this business. I have had nothing but wonderful service and smoothies/food when I've visited this location. It's always busy which should tell you something. The staff are more than welcome to recommend things if you're not sure what you want, and if you ever had an issue you could politely let them know and they'd be sure to fix it asap. Please check out this awesome Smoothie Cafe in Lexington it is fantastic! My sister loves this cafe located in Beaumont near Kroger and I never knew. When we walked in there was hardly a waiting process, the line moved swiftly and they make the smoothies fast. My sister bought the Pomegranate Plung Smoothie with Whey Protein Powder and I purchased Mocha Madness Smoothie. I tell you our smoothies were delicious. One thing I like about this cafe is that you can add protein, a fat burner, or any other supplements to your smooth for your personal need. There are seats inside for dine-in purposes. I personally feel like they could improve on certain things. Some salads say they come with Romain lettuce but honestly it's just iceberg lettuce. The smoothies that come with protein powder is great and all but I would like to know how much protein I'm actually getting. The workers there can't ever give me an answer. It's simple if you know protein powder. Also I've been there enough to know the normal amount of chicken that comes on dishes and when I pay and ask for extra it looks exactly the same. My 12 year old sister suffered a life threatening allergic reaction after employees failed to clean out their blenders. I have made several attempts to contact management to discuss the incident and no one will respond. They also deleted a Facebook review regarding the incident. All I'm asking is that they train their employees on keeping allergens separated from other areas and that they're making sure to properly clean blenders between uses. I don't believe that it is too much to ask for someone to call or email me back on this matter. I will be informing all of my friends of this incident and advising against visiting this establishment. read more

So I went there today to celebrate National Flip Flop Day and I was so pleased that I was served 15 minutes before the actual 2 p.m. free smoothie giveaway! Just tried for first time last week. Only got the Green Madness (sp?) smoothie as I asked for the "healthiest one you have." It contains kale, spinach, mango, pineapple, and banana. Can't even taste the greens, which is good! Mainly tastes of banana. Got another one today so it's my go-to. Anyway, really wanted to confirm what have read in other reviews. I was craving a smoothie and discovered Tropical Smoothie Cafe. My wife knew where it was but didn't know the name. So we headed to "the smoothie place in Beaumont". When I arrived the open sign was off but people were still in there. Not sure if folks forgot to turn the sign on or if employees were trying to close up early, but I persisted. When I walked it the place was clean and I was greeted. I asked, "what smoothie do people come here for? What is the local favorite?" The girl didn't know but recommended an option with pineapple, mango, and strawberry. It didn't take too long to get my smoothie. It only came in one size and for about $5.00 I felt it was a good value. I also found out the most of the smoothies are dairy-free. I enjoyed the smoothie! It was not the over-sweetened mush you get and other fast food places but was refreshing and I could tasted the real fruit ingredients. Their prices are similar to that of Jamba juice. I usually get the chia banana max smoothie with chia seeds, dates, option of peanut butter or strawberries, among other ingredients. I pay $5-6 each time and it's worth every penny. The dates really enhance the flavor and both the peanut butter version and the strawberry version are good, so you can't go wrong with either. It just depends on what you want. The customer service is inconsistent. Sometimes they're friendly and sometimes they're not, but they do get the smoothies out quickly! The food, while typically a pretty mixed to and fro of microwave and flash oven, are still delicious. The smoothies are a little expensive, yet satisfying and delicious. The product here is substandard and the customer service was lacking as well. I used to work in a smoothie shop and was really disappointed with the lack of flavor. We sent the first one back due to a watery flavor profile. When we sent it back (who I assumed was) the manager gave my wife a little attitude, so points off there. The second smoothie, which was a different recipe since we figured it was just a flavor that we didn't like, had the same watery consistency. When my pregnant wife told the same fellow at the register that it was still unacceptable he begrudgingly offered to make it again, then said "What a brat" as he turned away. When we received the third and final beverage it was still garbage. So maybe I was hoping for a better quality product for a $6 smoothie. I suppose I'll stick with Smoothie King from now on. So upon talking to the cashier and one of the cooks in the back, I chose the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wrap. It was very hot and delicious. Inside was 3 lb of jerk chicken, mozzarella cheese, black beans, corn,rice, red onion and asparagus.
