Upon entering the building, there's pop music playing outside. Inside it gives very modern, young and playful vibes. There's plenty of seating great for a lunch break or chat with friends. The tables were also clean. The service was quick. I was greeted immediately as there was no one else in the café when I ordered. The menu had a variety of different types of smoothies and add-ons You can put into it such as protein powder. The food was a mix of mostly salads, wraps, and quesadillas. The chicken & egg wrap I ordered was tasted pretty good for being under $10. The mango smoothie I had was also very good for the price. Overall, this is a great place to eat healthier when you want food and drink in the meal under $15. I would visit again. read more

The location on South University near the Target should be avoided. (Little Rock, Arkansas) The service is abysmal. It took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order. I understand if they were busy but they were not in this case. About 15 minutes, the food came out in separate orders instead of all together. They made a mistake on the Santa Fe Chicken quesadilla by not adding anything but a few pieces of chicken and mostly cheese. It was missing the black beans, red pepper, onions and salsa. We opened up the quesadilla to them and showed the lack of contents. The lady at the counter said they would remake it. Waited another 20 minutes and it still hadn't been made so we decided to leave. Wasn't worth waiting anymore. We decided to go somewhere else despite paying the 33 dollars for our food. The smoothies were good though. But yeah. Terrible customer service at this location. The staff in general seem untrained and unhappy. Absolutely no hospitality skills. They interact with customers so casually and with undertones of attitude, frustration, and negativity. My first experience here: Ordered a smoothie and waited at one of the tables. I heard my name, stood up and began walking over.... Before I stood up, the staff member said my name again (multiple times) only with a very insulting tone and attitude. I'm not crazy or imagining. I heard the inflection and rudeness ... as if she were frustrated she had to repeat my name multiple times.... I was already walking toward her the second she mentioned my name the first time. I had to tell her "I'm here. No need to keep yelling my name". She pushed the drink into my hand and walked away.... Then started laughing about the exchange with the others in the back. I don't understand why people here (Little Rock.... Arkansas..... the south in general) are so rude and unprofessional. Customer service and hospitality just don't seem to be a thing here. This cafe is clean and in a convenient location near Target. I am going to give four stars because I really like the option of being able to have mostly vegetables and protein for lunch outside of my home. I had a Thai Chicken Bowl, Kale Apple Slaw, and a Detox Island Smoothie. The food was perfect and very healthy. I wish as a whole, Tropical Smoothie listed the nutrition in their labels, offered smaller portions, and cost a bit less. It is over $10 for a meal here. Half smoothies and half meals would be nice. I went through the drive through in Benton, AR and ordered just a smoothie. The lady at the window very forcefully told me to leave a tip after paying $8 for just the smoothie. Because I didn't leave a tip, she made me set in the drive through an excessive amount of time while she turned and worked the front counter. I seen that my smoothie was on the counter for her to just give me but she was aggravation because I didn't leave her a tip. When she finally handed me the smoothie she was extremely rude a wouldn't give me a straw. I shook my head and she yelled, " yah go ahead and shake your head. Get out of my drive through ". My brother has always spoken so highly of the one near him in Ohio, so I thought it was probably a safe bet. I had some sort of Jerk Chicken salad and a green smoothie. The salad wasn't anything to write home about, but the smoothie was yummo! I mean, can you really mess up a smoothie though? I don't recall what the hubs ordered, but he seemed to enjoy his meal too. I did think the servings were rather skimpy for what you paid. Not so much on the smoothies, but just on the food offerings. Don't go to any of these. Went to one on Rodney Parham. I stayed in drive thru for 45 minutes and they gave me the wrong order. Ordered peanut butter chocolate got some kind of berry. The lady Claimed it was on the house because I waited so lo but she swiped my card. Then she Claimed they never scanned my gift card because their machine was broken. I couldn't go back thru the drive through for another 45 minutes to let them know that my order was wrong and the inside is closed due to COVID. Had to pay 90 cents because yep the last place did indeed swipe my gift card for the wrong smoothie I waited for 45 minutes. Then as a I wait for this smoothie again, there's a man that comes inside clearly spraying for bugs. The owner is helping him spray for bugs behind all kinds of things including the kitchen. Then the owner or manager goes back and forth to making smoothies. He did not wash his hands and never wore gloves. The girl he was training who took my gift card kept itching at her face then making my smoothie. No gloves and no hand washing. And we are in the middle of COVID for real. I was sick to my stomach so I threw a second smoothie away again. Why: bug spray, people not washing hands handling bug spray, and itching their face while making my smoothie. I was completely disappointed with my Thai Chicken Wrap. Normally, they are ver good & made to perfection, but this time around....not so much. It normally has this wonderful Asian sauce on it, but for the 2nd time in a row, no sauce. The wrap had all the ingredients except the sauce. It's been a convenient spot for me in times past, but I will no longer be going to this tropical smoothie location due to the disrespect that I received from workers. The service has always been sub par, but I was more disappointed than usual this evening. The girls working claimed that they were closed even though their hours proved differently, and their "open" light was still on. Went in for a quick bite before a play and ordered the chipotle chicken club flatbread. Looked great on menu photo but what I got didn't even look like my order. I went to the counter with it and three people stared at me when I told them their must be a mistake. In the photo the flatbread was very full looking and standing wide open so you could see big slices of white meat chicken, tomato slices and some lettuce. What I got was a closed flatbread sandwich and when I lifted the top edge, all I could see was mostly lettuce, some cubed chicken behind that (some white meat, and some dark) about a half slice of bacon and a half slice of tomato. It was all drowned in the chipotle mayo which looks like 1000 Island dressing. With all the dressing and so little chicken etc., I couldn't taste much of anything but dressing. Yuk! Wasn't impressed with my smoothie either ....the banana flavor overpowered the strawberries and peaches. Won't be going back.....ever! read more
