I have never seen that before, lol. Boiled eggs? Not scrambled? On a croissant breakfast sandwich? Is it because they are premade so its just easier? I wasnt expecting that. I also asked for a cup of water (which I've been given before) and I was told they're supposed to be selling the bottles of water. But I didn't want to buy a bottle of Costco Kirkland purified water... also, I needed a cup with a lid because it was for my toddler. Weird experience today. I love this place though. Usually really good food! Just extremely slow service. Friendly staff. But maybe they should consider having additional people working...and give egg options for their sandwiches...scrambled, fried, or I guess...boiled.

However, the frequency of these errors feels like a bigger systemic issue that should be addressed. While we would love to visit this market more frequently, this issue has been a significant barrier. My "Go-To" at times, if I want to be lazy, is either Tropical Smoothie Cafe or even Wawa. However, I get some excellent suggestions from my fellow Yelp Elites, or even my closest friends. With that in mind, my close friend, Paula, told me about a new smoothie/coffee/health bar location she passes by every time she goes to work called Mermazing Nutrition. Since I take creedence to her suggestions and it is a smoothie place, I had to check it out. Paula, thank you for the suggestion because Mermazing Nutrition (which I will shorthand to simply Mermazing for the remainder of this review) is overall, in general, an amazing business with an amazing owner/operator running it. Though an address is given, I must stress more details on its location as many people might miss it. It is located on Babcock St., on the west side of the street and just north of Tropical Smoothie Cafe in between Fay Blvd. and Hibiscus Blvd. If it further helps, it is next door to Jimmy John's. The locale itself is kinda smallish, but I discern most people come in to get their orders and be on their way moreso than stay. However, it being smallish means it is cozy, and the cozy atmosphere is kinda simplistic with splashes of personality which includes the picture background which has become a popular trend amongst businesses, especially restaurants, as of late. There are a couple of tables and chairs for those who choose to sit in and enjoy what Mermazing has to offer, and there is a long, leather (?) couch people can sit on, too. As for the menu, what I saw were mutliple variations of smoothies and teas. I didn't see any food options, so take note of that as you come here. They have a normal range of protein shakes, iced coffees, and loaded teas. The standouts are their specialty menu which are drinks specified by Mermazing. They also have unique names like "Daisy Dukes," "Yellowstone," "Pretty n' Pink," and "Snakebite." You'll have to ask what each shake has to specifically offer though. The Extreme Rebuild is an amazing post-workout shake that includes almost 40 grams of whey protein, BCAAs, and L-glutamine. Finally, the "Kitchen Sink" literally has all the supplements you can add to any smoothie, in the smoothie. So imagine a smoothie with all the add-on ingredients and vitamins you can add. That is it. Would be cool if they served the drink in-house with a miniature kitchen sink, though. Ultimately, patrons have to understand this is a storefront for a representative of Herbalife. Julann is your local representative for Herbalife, which I will admit is a great product, but there are others out there that may or may not be good or better for you. What I like about Julann is that she doesn't "bully sell" Herbalife, mocking or insulting other options. She does her best to promote Herbalife, concentrating on that compared to belittling the competition. So overall, I am very impressed with Mermazing. True the price might be higher compared to a Wawa, but for a local business, it is actually really good and fair. The lack of food might be seen as an issue, but Mermazing doesn't try to promote or push that it sells such. Besides, anyone wanting food can stop by the Jimmy John's next door or go elsewhere. That is not what Mermazing promotes or offers. I will give Mermazing an overall score of four out of five stars. If I return a couple more times and they are just as good or even better, I will definitely give them their fifth star for consistency.

Also it says it comes with tomato. Missing on my wrap. Just noticed reviewing the menu. That may have helped with the dryness. They had a cooler that had drinks in it, but the bottle of tea I grabbed was warm. They also have a thing of water you can help yourself to. But it could have used some ice. It was room temp. First and foremost, everything from my initial review is still in effect in general, but let me talk to you about Shannon. She's the kavatender with the most tenure at this kava joint, and she holds it down. Very friendly and approachable and as mentioned earlier, able to hold a good conversation and be civil. Shannon is also a fantastic kavatender. Unlike some who just sling shells, she actually did a great job with the mocktails, which seems as if not many of the patrons order them by how it seems. The first one she got me was by accident called the "Elder Drop" which consists of pineapple, elderflower, lemon juice, ginger ale, and Shane's Addiction, their kratom blend. Though it was a screwup, it was fantastic. So delicious. Now the one I wanted, the Key Lime Pie Drop, consisted of French vanilla, peppermint, lime juice, ginger ale, and Shane's Addiction. I got the following add-ins for smoothie: Whole Grain Oats, Peanut Butter, & Leafy Greens I felt the add-ins would give the smoothie more sustenance along w/ some nutrients from the greens. The smoothie was A-OK yet three stars are given instead of four for several reasons. I felt the smoothie was costly for what you get. The add-ins were $1 each & the quantity of the add-ins isn't even that great. Oats are one of the most affordable foods on the market & a small scoop of oats shouldn't cost $1. I felt .50 cents per add-in would be more reasonable. The biggest annoyance of my smoothie was they are made w/ ice. I requested no ice & the person making my smoothie said that wasn't possible. She made it w/ less ice even so felt the ice added a lot of filler. For the cost of the smoothie which was in fact costly felt they should be more substantial using more fruit, less ice, & less costly add-ins. If these improvements were made can see bumping my review up to four stars yet not sure if these suggestions would be implemented. On a plus side appreciate being able to customize your smoothie & it is helpful to list the calories for the smoothies along w/ the calories for each additional potential add-in for which there is a lot. The employees were discussing break times and that they were waiting for the smoothie person to get back from their break, all being discussed loudly. Finally we had our order taken by a not so enthusiastic employee, proceeded to wait over 15 minutes for our order. While waiting we noticed several customers walked in and stood at the counter for awhile without being greeted. We finally received 2 smoothies, one of which was not the Mango Madness we are used too. It was basically ice with little flavor. Still waiting for our food, we told one of the employees that the smoothie did not taste the way it usually did and proceeded to make another one which tasted just as yucky. It was at this time we happened to discovered our food had been sitting on the counter (our name was never called) and getting cold. We are sorry to say that the service here was less than par and the smoothies were horrible. I would most definitely not frequent this location again, but would purposely drive farther to get the quality, consistency as well as the customer service we have grown to love from Trooicsl Smoothie.
