Tropical Smoothie Cafe- Indian Harbour Beach, FL- 3 Stars As I glanced down at the name blinking on my name generator, I came to the conclusion that like all repeated tasks and movements, my long foray into the world of chain reviews is going to continue as I was headed to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in Indian Harbour Beach, FL. With 850 locations nationwide, it is easy to see how they survived the nationwide COVID mandated lockdowns and state-wide mandates still in effect in some states. Upon entering I wasn't immediately wowed by the décor. It was pleasant enough, but nothing spectacular. No lights were on so it was very dark and unpleasant. I also noticed that they were apparently very COVID conscience as 6 feet spacing is still the standard and all employees were masked. The employees were friendly, competent and showed up to work, so "yay" for them! I placed an order for an avocado grilled cheese, a Baja chicken wrap and a Triple Berry Oat Smoothie. The food was ready in no time and I snapped a few pictures before the taste test began. As you can see, the food looked edible enough and while I didn't include a picture of the smoothie, imagine if you will, a berry-looking smoothie looking freshly blended. I found the avocado grilled cheese to be a pleasant twist on an old American favorite for today's beard and sandal crowd. It was grilled to perfection and was lubriciously delivered to my taste buds via the natural avocado oil and I found this delightful. If you are a regular reader you should recall my review of Da Kine Diego's. If not, let me remind you or inform you if you are new to the fact that this is easily the worst operating slop house in all of Brevard. I mention this only as the Baja chicken wrap was a step above Da Kine's sludge by a smidgen owing to the fresh greens and flavor they contributed to the dish. Other than that, it was just this side of edible. The Triple Berry Oat smoothie was exceedingly enjoyable. You could tell it was assembled with perfervidity and the berry mix was the fronting flavor. For not being made from fresh ingredients (nothing here is cooked, it is all combined) it was just this side of captivating on the palate. The Big Boy says, "If you are of the beard and sandal crowd, I'm sure you already know, if not if you are in the mood for freshly fabricated eats and smoothies, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is solidly mediocre." #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout #bigboy

Simple, quick, and tasty. A great place for breakfast if you like to stay on the healthy side of things.

Plenty of seating and the area near the counter seems to be a bit cooler. An extensive menu with plenty of choices. I settled on the T Street wrap which was chicken salad in a spinach tortilla with carrots spinach and avocado. Flavor was pretty good and plenty of crunch from the carrots. The chicken salad was a tad dry for me so next time I will ask for extra mayo to add in. It came with tortilla chips (from a bag I would imagine and they tasted like it) and some of their homemade beet hummus. A hard pass next time. Not my thing apparently. Also it says it comes with tomato. Missing on my wrap. Just noticed reviewing the menu. That may have helped with the dryness. They had a cooler that had drinks in it, but the bottle of tea I grabbed was warm. They also have a thing of water you can help yourself to. But it could have used some ice. It was room temp. But free. Busy cafe and they were pumping out the food and drinks. Coffee drinks appeared to be very popular from my vantage point. Gonna have to give it a go again and try a bowl. Normally I would have only done three stars but the staff was very friendly and smiled when they brought my food to me, extra star for the vibe.

I went in about lunchtime and ended up getting an Italian sandwich, which seemed to annoy some of the staff members a little bit. It was my first time in there, so I took a little bit longer to look at the menu that was posted and get accustomed to the sides, but no more than maybe 30 to 45 seconds. The sandwich was pretty good, I would put it up there with a standard sandwich, and you get a lot of bang for your buck, which is definitely good. However, I don't think it's beating out a Publix Italian or even a Jersey Mike's, if you want to drive down the street a bit. Inside, it is very much a local deli vibe. A couple of tables, some TVs go in, and it really establishes itself as that. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Coffee-wise, it looks like they mainly just offered drip coffee over on the end, but I didn't order any, so I'm unsure if they had a more expansive menu. I'm definitely going to give it another try, but try what they are known for this time, that being some bagels, if they still have any in stock by the time I get there. Once I try those out, I will update the review accordingly.

Great service, great food, clean and fun vibe. Go to Corey's!

It's a nice place to stop in for a healthy snack or lunch! But they are never quick.... the service is soooo slow. The last 3 times I've gone in, there's never an employee in the front. Sometimes you have to stand there for 5+ minutes before someone comes to the front. A. That doesnt seem safe & B. Maybe have more staff working at once? Once you do get to place an order, it takes forever. I hope they're making it from scratch, so thats what takes so long. Today I placed a to go order - on the menu it said "Hot N Melty Breakfast Sandwich" - but didn't list any ingredients. Okay whatever, I assumed eggs and cheese and it asked if I wanted to add bacon for $4, which I did opt for. Making my total $14.89 It WAS melty...but had 2 small pieces of bacon and boiled eggs! I have never seen that before, lol. Boiled eggs? Not scrambled? On a croissant breakfast sandwich? Is it because they are premade so its just easier? I wasnt expecting that. I also asked for a cup of water (which I've been given before) and I was told they're supposed to be selling the bottles of water. But I didn't want to buy a bottle of Costco Kirkland purified water... also, I needed a cup with a lid because it was for my toddler. Weird experience today. I love this place though. Usually really good food! Just extremely slow service. Friendly staff. But maybe they should consider having additional people working...and give egg options for their sandwiches...scrambled, fried, or I guess...boiled.

Seriously delicious açaí bowls!! Add almond butter! Super friendly staff. Fresh and beautiful too!read more

Every smoothie here already comes with protein, and you can stack on extras like greens, collagen, or creatine. I went with a large PB & Banana and added greens, and it was honestly one of the best smoothies I've had in a while. Super flavorful, not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality. They also serve coffee, espresso, and some really tempting muffins. I only tried the smoothie today, but I'm already planning to come back for the coffee and a muffin next time. The shop is tucked into a small strip mall, but parking was easy. Inside, it's clean, organized, and has a calm vibe. The woman behind the counter was incredibly kind and knowledgeable -- the kind of customer service that makes you want to return. If you're someone who works out nearby or just wants a healthier smoothie option that doesn't sacrifice taste, this place is a gem. Prices are affordable too, which is always a win.

I got a cookies and cream and a strawberry banana chocolate, and both were fantastic. Honestly, they tasted more like delicious milkshakes wearing athletic clothing and pretending to be healthy. No complaints from me. Definitely recommend this spot.
