I was really excited about this place as I love their smoothies; however the customer service is HORRIBLE. I ordered a curbside pickup on 8/9/26 at 1:50pm to be picked up at 2:04 because it was 100 degrees outside and I had two dogs in the car. I arrived at 2:00.... nothing. I went into the store at 2:15 to see if there were any orders on the to-go shelf and there weren't. I tried to talk to someone inside but was being ignored and I quickly needed to get back out to my dogs. At 2:34pm I called the store and was told with a lot of attitude that their curbside tablet was down and they didn't know I was there - EVEN THOUGH I was in the curbside pickup spot DIRECTLY in front of the store. The girl brought out a smoothie that had clearly sat for 30 minutes and was inedible. I issued a formal complaint on their website and have heard NOTHING. Avoid this place at all costs. UPDATE - they have sent me a random email to contact. I have sent in the information THREE times (once via their app and twice now over email). They are clearly not interested in solving anything but rather hoping people will give up due to the absolute nonhelpful nonsense. UPDATE #2 - it's 8/13/26 and I have provided the information yet once again and have heard NOTHING back. Keep in mind I reported this immediately on 8/9/26. So far four days and no response is acceptable to this store. Olivia E. it would be great to hear from someone. So I've had a few not so great experiences here but decided to give it another shot - I'm glad I did . Service was great- clean- quick- and patient , while I tried to make up my mind. They have a large menu, many options.. it wasn't very busy inside -- you can however place a pick up order which seemed to be what most people to.. I'll keep that in mind for next time ! If you're looking for a quick go to pick me up this is definitely a place I would come back too. I usually come here for the smoothies and they do a good job making sure the smoothie has a nice consistency and flavor. When I order I tend to do it on the app because I get rewards and it's always ready when I go pick it up inside. Food and smoothies are overall delicious. They might miss sometimes (not blended well or missing something) but are happy to correct any mistakes. The manager Angela listens to customers and her staff follows suit. They participate in the community and you can often find them selling their smoothies at local school sporting events and donating. Smoothies have gotten a bit expensive but food has as well so it's understandable. The quality of food and drink here is very good. I've been here a few times. While the smoothies and food are good, the wait times kill me every time. That's why I hadn't been in a while. We were nearby and saw the chicken teriyaki flatbread and thought we should get some! We ordered two. That's it. 28 minutes from when I placed my order to when I received it. It was good, but not worth the wait. For $20 and that much time, I'd rather have a sit down dinner. It's not that the workers aren't trying but there doesn't seem to be a clear flow. I walked out of there saying "this is a hothead of inefficiency." I'd recommend some time studies and organizational review. First time at this place. Aesthetically it is a nice place. The menu is a bit daunting because there is so much to choose from. From shakes to food. I ordered the Blueberry Bliss which wasn't too bad. It was sweet enough and flavorful. I had protein and spinach added. One thing that I did not like is that the staff did not know what kind of protein they had. All they knew it was whey. They didn't know the brand nor the calorie count. Best place for smoothies and always consistent. Love that there are many options for lactose free peeps like me. There are many smoothies with no milk or yogurt added which is great because I'm not into creamy consistencies. Size of smoothies are also great for the price, they're about the size of a venti from Starbucks but taller. Smoothies I've loved here w/no banana or milk or yogurt: Bahama Mama, Avocolada, blimey limey and sunrise sunset. Parking is a pain in the main lot in front of the store because you can barely get out due to the tight squeeze but there's more parking on the side of the building which is way easier to maneuver. I've had the Thai chicken wrap here which I loved and light enough to not clash with the smoothie you order. I didn't like the kale apple side salad as it was drenched in dressing and wilted. There's also always a bit of a wait as this location is quite busy with pickup orders and customers. read more

So we went about a month ago and haven't been back since but hoping that the kinks have been worked out. The parking situation is pretty grim, and I witnessed someone park in a handicapped spot who didn't put a handicap tag on. The space isn't large in comparison to the Providence and Seekonk locations but it's not as bad as the Garden City location. They didn't really do a good job of the layout as there doesn't seem to be enough seating plus there are no shades and we were in at a time of day where the sun was blinding in certain spots. My daughters quesadilla was a little burnt on the bottom. Our food and smoothies took a while and we noticed that there were employees that had taken our order had food before we did and sat down and ate, they could have placed the orders before us but still it was weird. Overall - this location needs a bit more work in improving the flow of things. Also please figure out how folks can use their rewards if choosing not to pay with the card associated to the rewards. read more

So I usually go to the Garden City store, but when I saw were opening a store in North Providence on Mineral Spring I was excited to try it, cause it's only ten minutes from my house.....Well I went tonight and it wasn't a great first experience at this location..... I decided to get a Sunshine smoothie which I've had numerous times at other locations.....it consists of mango, banana, orange, pineapple and orange juice....well I don't know who made it, but it was the worst one I've ever had.....all you could taste was the banana....very disappointing. I hope they step up they're game or I don't see this store lasting long and I'd hate to see this spot close cause it's so close to my house I'll give them another try.... I gave this place another try.....and like last time all you could taste was an abundance of banana....I've been to the Garden City store in Cranston many times...and had the same type of smoothies that were better than the ones this store puts out....I think I'll stick to that store...it's just disappointing cause the North Providence store is right next to me.... but I won't get another smoothie like this again... read more

The 1 star is based mainly on the fact that I have found pieces of styrofoam and pieces of plastic (from the plastic sandwich bags they store the spinach and other fruits and veggies in) in my smoothie on several occasions! Not only mine but my husband and mother in law as well! That is totally unacceptable and should be dealt with ASAP before someone ends up ingesting too much, because it can be mistaken for pieces of food (such as chunks of dates, etc...). This is definitely a health hazard and should be looked at and reevaluated closely by management and the owner as well. Perhaps switching from styrofoam cups to plastic cups and getting rid of the plastic sandwich bags could solve this issue, but obviously not up to me, I'm not here to "bash" anyone's business just voicing my experiences and truths! Also, the parking is obviously not great. Aside from that the smoothies are very delicious and they offer great selections! Unfortunately my family and I will not be returning to Tropical Smoothie for this reason only, as I do not want them nor myself to be accidentally swallowing small pieces of styrofoam or pieces of plastic sandwich bags. read more

I was very impressed with how the staff was handling the large order amounts coming in from walk-ins, phone calls, and online/app ordering and they were moving quickly and efficiently! All the staff seemed to be in good spirits and positive! Very impressed! They seemed to be trained very well! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the woman who was preparing the smoothies didn't cover her nose with her mask which made me nervous for our given situation. I mentioned it to one of her co workers but nothing was done. However, she did a great job at making sure no more than 5 people in the store and everyone who entered had a mask on I just wish she would wear hers correctly. read more

I got my nails done next door a few weeks back and stopped in here for first time and really liked it. I I started to come here almost every day if not every other day and I feel like that it has healthier options for my two little ones specially when we are on the go. The kid tells me and then I took my kids food and left so I get back in the car and I decide to taste it because she was saying it was spicy and I've had hers before and I never tasted like that so I end up going back in because obviously I want my kid to eat and the boy at the front gets his manager to come out to speak with me. The manager end up going back-and-forth with me for so long before finally she realizes that I was right they made me the adult three cheese quesadilla that he's completely different from the kids chicken and cheese quesadilla. So she finally remade it for me without making me pay again and threw in a cookie as a sorry for my troubles which my daughter was thankful for. I'm glad I went back in and said somthing because the first time I told them and they said that I walked out and was about to leave. I'm not going to allow COVID to excuse the continued wrong orders. I've received the Jerk Chicken wrap, no rice with beans, instead of rice with no beans, I've received it without the pineapple salsa, I've had missed sides, I've had smoothies with full sugar, despite requesting otherwise, and without the add ons I've paid for and a totally opposite salad than ordered. I tried calling the manager before to iron out the inconsistencies, obviously to no avail. Three strikes and you're out. COVID has nothing to do with the ability to read an order and all three times I was left without dinner, being disabled and unable to just go out as I want. If you order a salad bowl, make sure that you order double chicken or you'll be quite surprised (1/4 of one chicken breast on a $10 salad). When I got the confirmation it said 10:17. I didn't have the time to call so I told my husband too as I ordered for him. He called and the manager proceed to tell him that in order to place a future order you need to call and the order would be waiting. MIND YOU he couldn't get there for two hours.... all over a 7$ sandwich. Disgusting. The sandwich was sitting there for two hours and soggy. Not my fault that the future order doesn't work through the app. This wouldn't be as big of an issue but we spend a minimum 100$ here a week. I won't be returning and taking my business elsewhere.
