everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon!

My go-to bagel shop when I lived in West End. The shop is small and seating is limited, I've always ordered ahead and picked up. There is some seating outside in the warmer months. I moved to Providence from Brooklyn and these bagels were the closest I could find to the bagels I've had back at home. I loved coming by in the warmer months after a morning jog. The people are friendly and I've never had a bad experience with the service there.

In an attempt to avoid paying for overpriced, underwhelming food at the nearby Providence Airport, we stopped at Hudson Street Deli for some pre-flight lunch. It is located in an interesting part of town, with some available street parking. They offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches, with hot and cold options for lunch. We seemed to arrive during a rush as we were probably 5th in line. The inside is not very big, and there is only one small island-style table with a few chairs that people sat in while waiting for the food to-go. It took quite a while to prepare our sandwiches, but again, I think it was because the whole option is rather small and we happened to show up during a small rush. We got the smokehouse and southwest sandwiches. Both were pretty good, but I liked the smokehouse better. Overall though, it was just an okay sandwich spot.

A cozy space with delicious breakfast sandwiches, convenient serve-your-own coffee, and friendly service worth every dollar! If you enjoy a savory sandwich with a little spice kick, I highly recommend the 'Green Machine' sandwich.

    Hudson deli Italian grinder.

Hudson market deli has been my go to for Italian grinders For over 30 years. After years of multiple owners. The original Italian grinder from the 90's and 2000's has changed drastically. From the bread to adding salsa was the downfall for me. It did not taste like the sandwich that I had growing up. Which was disappointing.

Located on a corner, in a cute little spot in providence. Not much indoor seating, but there is some outside! There is street parking, you don't have to pay, just have to find a spot Wait was a bit long, but they were busy, which is a good sign. Yard sales happening all around there on a Saturday morning. Got the LBG, it was good, but sauce made the paper break up. Loved the name of their sandwiches. Not many drink options, but plenty of spots nearby to explore. There is

My go-to when I want a delicious breakfast sandwich. Their ingredients are always so fresh and tasty. I've been to Hudson Street Deli about a dozen times in the past 7 years, so they are still serving up a superb sandwich. I always order ahead and get takeout but they do have seating inside and outside and it's street parking.

I got the Dexter sandwich and it was okay ($11). It wasn't large, lacked flavor overall and was boring. I couldn't taste the fancy lemon-basil Mayo at all. They put a nice amount of turkey in it and the ingredients were clean/fresh. Just not worth $11.

I've lived in Providence for a year now and had no idea of this place so close by! The best place for coffee/sandwiches in the west end. Inexpensive, fast paced, and friendly service awaits you in the west end! note: lgbt friendly!

In search of the perfect Italian grinder we ended up at Hudson Street Deli. There we found the friendliest staff imaginable, as well as an amazing sandwich. They also are great at giving back to their community. More than just the standard oil and vinegar, this grinder comes loaded with meat, provolone cheese, mayo, Italian salsa, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, on a retro grinder roll. Just enough to make make their sandwich stand out and taste absolutely amazing! So could this be the best Italian grinder in Rhode Island? I say you get there today to find out for yourself!

This is a local fave! Lots lots of options for sandwiches. Also serves CBD products. If you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch they have good options! Friendly staff that will make your order just how you like it :) Street parking can be tough, it's in a residential area.

What a great little deli! Reminds me of my childhood when there were small corner stores. Great addition to the neighborhood and good food.

Even with inflation $9+ for a bacon, egg and cheese on a bulky roll seems rather ridiculous.

Are the gluten free bagels vegan?

Hey Jamie, currently the gluten-free bagels we use are not vegan as they contain egg whites. The GF bread is also not vegan. However, we do have a gluten-free wrap that is vegan by Maria and Ricardo that is quite good. And just a disclaimer we are… Read more

Super cool old school diner inside. Our server really explained the menu well, and you get pickles & cole slaw instead of bread! Very cool!!

Come for the décor, stay because your food hasn't arrived yet…read moreAfter seeing WhatDidYouEatTodaySir hype up Marvin's Delicatessen, I figured it was worth the ride down from the Boston area. I love a good deli. Unfortunately, this wasn't just disappointing--it was borderline comical. Let's start with the good: the place looks fantastic. Clean, modern, really well done. If Yelp rated based on interior design alone, this place is pushing 5 stars. Now... the rest. First clue something was off--the dining room felt like a walk-in freezer. Not exaggerating: every single table had people eating in their coats. At some point you have to look around and think, "maybe we turn the heat up before someone orders a side of frostbite." Then came the wait. And the wait. And the wait. Close to an hour for deli sandwiches. During that time, I had a clear view of the kitchen, which turned into dinner and a show. Plates were coming back nonstop--wrong bread, wrong orders, total confusion. It was like watching a live-action blooper reel. Eventually, our food arrives... and of course, it's wrong. Back it goes. No big deal--mistakes happen. Round two: soup comes out with vegetables after my wife clearly explained she has an allergy. The waitress caught it (thankfully), and back it goes again. What finally came out can only be described as "chicken soup in spirit." It tasted like someone waved a bouillon cube over hot water and called it a day. No seasoning, no substance, and I'm pretty sure the "chicken" made a brief guest appearance and left. Her sandwich? Also wrong--and somehow included onions and mystery vegetables. So that was basically game over. I ordered the 50/50 (pastrami and corned beef). I say "ordered," but identifying what actually showed up was a bit of a guessing game. The meat was dry--painfully dry. The pastrami (I think?) had the texture of kindling wood and looked like it had been sliced by someone who just discovered what a knife is. Tough, stringy, and completely lacking that juicy, melt-in-your-mouth quality you expect from a deli. The waitress seemed nice enough but didn't really know the menu, and the kitchen was clearly in full chaos mode. One guy--who I assume was the owner or manager--was running around like a man trying to put out ten fires with a squirt gun. At some point, we just started laughing. Not because it was good--because it was so bad it crossed into "you can't make this up" territory. Maybe I'm spoiled coming from the North Shore, where delis take pride in their corned beef and pastrami. But if you're going to call yourself a delicatessen, you've got to at least get the basics right. This place has the look, but none of the execution. I wouldn't go back. I wouldn't recommend it. And next time I'll just stay north of the border where the sandwiches actually show up correctly--and edible.
