I for the Bahama Mama ( I hope I remember that correctly) lol. I had spinach added to my smoothie and oh my gosh... it was delicious! My forgot what my son ordered, but he also loved his. I ordered the avocado grilled cheese, it was pretty good. I just wish that it had a little more cheese or the paste because it was a bit dry. The staff were okay, they didn't make it feel welcoming, but they weren't rude either. It just felt like I went into a fast food restaurants. Ordered, money exchanged, and food was handed. Ordered the Thai Chicken Wrap with the kale apple salad. The wrap itself was nothing spectacular. I felt like it needed more texture and more peanut sauce. What sauce on it was slightly spicy which was a pleasant surprise. The kale apple salad by smell makes you anticipate it being on the sour side, but don't be fooled, it has very little flavor. Here's the negative.... the cup was large as you can see from the photo, BUT the flavor was just not there. Good food and smoothies, however this location is mostly snooty and nonchalant. It's very obvious that the workers don't want to be there. They cannot break $50 or $100 bills. Is this a business or not?? The poki shop 2 doors down has zero issues breaking bills (most customers go over there). They will not serve food if they're out of serving paper even though there are several other options that work. They frequently shut ovens down an hour before closing and will not make food despite having an hour before closing. You also have a 95% chance of NOT getting through on their phone line and if you do, they require a CC to place your order. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The staff clearly hates their job, the bathroom was filthy and completely out of toilet paper, and the girl with purple hair was dropping f bombs so loud the whole restaurant could hear. The girl who rang us up, which I assume was Isabella by the name on the receipt didn't smile once or even say hello. This is a great location, but the management really needs to get this staff in line. The food/smoothies are extremely inconsistent. I have ordered through their mobile app to make it quick 4-5 times and three times now I have been waiting at the location for 20-30 min for just a smoothie while people who order after me leave with their food and drinks. For the price/speed/quality - probably one of the better healthy options in PCB. Great for vegetarians/vegans due to the ability to sub Beyond Meat Chicken Strips to many of the menu - something that brings a smile to my face. The smoothies are fantastic and are fairly generous portions( I believe 22oz) - and the "Half and Half" seems to be the takeaway best deal. I will admit the speed of service isn't the greatest but I think it is at times understaffed based upon the customers in the store(sometimes just 2 workers and both needing to prepare) while leaving the counter unattended. That said, with better staffing(maybe go for 3+ on) - it would greatly bring the speed and service up to where it would need to be to match the quality of everything else. As it is now, I'd say a 4/5 is fair. read more

Awful food and terrible customer service!!! Went here and didn't know they closed at 8pm. Well the girl at the register was sort of friendly and after ordering asked us if it was to go or for there. We said for there. 10 minutes later we get our food and find a long black hair in it. To be polite we wait for other customers to leave before we let the worker know. With an attitude she just grabs the sandwich and goes on to make a new one. Another five minutes later it is 8pm and she hands us the sandwich and goes "so we actually close at 8, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave" We weren't even upset until this point! First of all, she asked us if we wanted to stay and secondly, it there wasn't hair in our food we would've already finished. Terrible customer service. I continue to eat at this location because they are one of the few healthy choices on the beach. However, I continue to experience very poor customer service. Today was by far the worst. I called in to place a phone order and was put on hold for 25 minutes ( I have a screenshot to prove it and ). They only remembered I was on the phone with my husband arrived to pick up the food and said it was a phone order. When they picked up the phone they did not even apologize that they had forgotten about me. They simply said "can I take your order". When I asked them if they knew how long I was on hold they responded by telling me that they were very busy. While on hold I could hear everything going on in the restaurant and they helped only 3 customers that entire 25 minute timeframe. Regardless, they should have started conversation with an apology and they did not. To make matters worse, it was the manager Kirstie that I was dealing with!!!! I asked for the contact information for her manager and she refused to provide it. I asked to leave my phone number so that her manager could contact me. She refused to take my phone number and said she was "busy and had to help her employees prepare meals". She told me to call back in 2 hours. I will definitely be doing that and hope she doesn't put me on hold for another 25 minutes. New management sorely needed at this location! Update: Kirstie's manager never called me. So, either she never gave him the message. Or this level of customer service is acceptable to him. I will be finding new options for healthy food and PCP. read more

When My friend and I were about to pull in I called to see if I could figure out when the closed to see if I could pick up a smoothie for my best friend who was feeling sick at the time. I accidentally ordered the same meal twice trying to apply my birthday promo code. I don't understand why theres a hyperlink under the order that states "cancel my order", it calls the store. The manager informed me that they would not be able to refund my meal. they proceeded to bring my food out with out my side. My fiancé had to go inside the store and ask for chips. when he asked the manager just pointed. I've never witnessed such horrible customer service in my life. We are visiting from CO and stopped by 2 days ago even though the reviews were not good and we were impressed with the service and the taste of the food and smoothies. We enjoyed it so much that today we stopped by again and she not only remembered us but remembered that my son and daughter both have allergies that require that their smoothies be made separate from others. Twice now we have stopped two hours before closing and the clean sign is at the front door and the place wreaks of BLEACH so strong that it burns your eyes, lungs and gives me a nasty headache. No way to contact the owner and Beg them to change their business practices. It is not just unhealthy for the customers, it is not healthy for the employees. The girls working the counter were far more interested in whatever it was they were talking about before we arrived to give us the time of day. The place was empty and we waited for someone to come to the counter to attend to us, finally one saw us and took our order. She seemed annoyed that we weren't real sure what we wanted and took a bit to order... keep in mind, I wouldn't have ordered yet had there been ppl in there behind us. They had music blaring in the back that had all kinds of profanity, which doesn't bother me per se but is very unprofessional and I'd rather my daughter not hear it. This is the tropical smoothie on Panama city beach Pkwy (aka back beach road) in the Publix plaza. It is right next door to GNC. Smoothies are always good. I always get the island green Detox because it doesnt have any sugar like the others do (needs a tad more ginger in it for my taste but its pretty good).I highly recommend it. I am a diabetic. The place is always busy and the employees are always polite. They do need extra help there to make the lines move faster. Another thing, I came in the other day and only had a $50 bill. They said they do not take $50 bills or higher there. So I had to walk to publix and get change (publix do take 50's) and come back for my smoothie and wait in long line. Tropical Smoothie, please take $50s and stop inconveniencing your customers. We would appeciate it. read more
