Since it's Sunday, we cannot contact the bank to determine the reason why the charge was rejected today. Possibly mis-flagged as potential fraud? Regardless, Tropical Tan decided to close my wife's account immediately and is now insisting on charging a new setup fee to reopen the account! This place is a scam! They'll do whatever they can to squeeze money out of you, and couldn't care less about their customers!

Unfortunately, these salons have a habit of closing up almost overnight, leaving customers (and more importantly package-holders) high and dry. Good luck getting a response from any complaints left ... you'd have better odds at winning Mega Millions lottery than hearing back from the owner. I was one of the customers left hanging when the location near Target closed its doors without notice in January 2016. I was actually looking forward to trying their new salon, which was SUPPOSED to have been open within a week or two. I thought it quite odd that most wouldn't close one salon down until the new one was open but, then again, I've never owned a business. I think it was more than five or six months that Soleil was off the grid and before they FINALLY opened the 75th Street location. No way was I going to hedge my bets with this company ... no matter how state-of-the-art the tanning units were. Doing a little investigating, I found that the owner was EVICTED from the PP location for non-payment of rent. Oddly enough, the same story applies for two past locations (Racine and the original Kenosha location on 18th Street). Strangely enough, the owner drives luxury automobiles everywhere while stiffing his customers wallets, quite infuriating! Not sure if the 75th Street store will disappear like the others ... but beware of Soleil ... the shadiest tan in town.

The only drawback is that the place is small any they don't have a ton of beds, BUT it's definitely worth it when they treat you so well. They have customer appreciation days where they give away packages, lotions, provide food, and music. It's no wonder they won Best of Kenosha '12. The stylist at that time clearly lacked experience with short hair, leaving me with a choppy haircut and noticeable bald spots. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again during my recent visit. I was told I was booked with a "KNOWLEDGABLE Level Three Stylist," but my experience did not reflect that level of professionalism or skill. I even showed a reference picture of exactly what I wanted, so there should not have been any confusion. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing for the poor result, there was no accountability taken at all. Despite being very upset, I remained calm and still paid for a haircut that looks nothing like what I requested,just to avoid a scandal in a public place. I am beyond frustrated and digusted that Ruffalo's continues to hire stylists who do not seem properly experienced or trained, especially for short hairstyles. I've been going to this salon for a couple of years now Jasmine is an absolute amazing masseuse…read more However my last experience on June 10th I had a gift card to pay for my services the receptionist accidentally instead charge the entire amount on my credit card because that was what I was using to pay Jasmine her tip. The owner Chris first off took over a week to respond back to my complaint about my credit card charges. Instead of him asking me what happened he listened to whatever his receptionist told him when I talk to her on the phone. Mind you this was not the person that I had engaged with on the 10th. Saying that I paid with a card and that I changed my mind to use the gift card which was a lie. Chris said he cannot refund me my card because of a new system that was installed. He proceeds to tell me to call my credit union and dispute the charges. I called my credit union and explained the situation. They said that it doesn't work like that. I reach back out to Chris and he has not responded back. I have yet to receive my refund till this day. I'm putting this review on all platform. No one should have to experience this his customer service skills is horrible. I'm also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau
