I wrote a review for here a little over a year ago, I recommend it back then, but later on after tanning there for a little while longer that changed. Although I did get some good color that came with the consequence of a rash that I broke out in from their beds. I'm not sure if the beds weren't getting cleaned or if it was the product they were cleaning with, but I ended up in the emergency room and on medication for a of couple weeks. The staff was friendly and again the bulbs were great resulting in good color during a short period of time, but the side affects from the beds was enough to have me not return for future service. read more

Friendly staff. Be careful if you sign up for a monthly package, it automatically makes a re-occurring charges your credit card and can only be cancelled in person and two days before the recharge period. Once charged they do not give refunds, and they don't allow credits that can be used at later times. I cannot recommend them due to this practice. read more

Stopped in today for my first tan of the season. Karissa was working, and she was very helpful. I usually use the stand up, I'm claustrophobic. I like the stand-up because I can open the door quickly. I decided to try a lay down bed today. Karissa was very reassuring that I would be ok. *DO NOT USE THIS PLACE* The owner is a total piece of shit. We've been tanning here on & off for 3 years & always have a problem. Beds have bad bulbs for days on end. There's been no there at 7:00 to open on many occasions. I even drove to Grayslake from Beach Park, no one to open there at 7:45 either. Today was the topper. My friend paid for both of us to tan last month. An incompetent girl totally screwed up our accounts. When the next month came around they only charged him $55. They said they no longer offer the package that he purchased & charged me $65. Telling me that I can go to Antioch or Grayslake too. Why in the hell would I drive out there when I live in Beach Park? Total bull crap rip off/scam! My friend is going in the hospital so he cancelled our membership yesterday, thinking that we're paid until the 7th of February, which we are, and we would be able to tan until then. WRONG!!! They ended our membership after 3 days without telling him that the membership would end that day. Essentially ripping us off!!!!! This place is horrible to work with & most the girls with the exception of one or two are totally incompetent at doing their job. WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!!!! do not use this place they are rude and disrespectful. There was a new lady that was working there yesterday on the 15th. I paid £130 for a course on the high pressure sunbeds. When I got there, she changed her mind and said that I paid for level four, which I am a tan person anyway and use sunbeds for a long time and when I told her that is not what I paid for and I had proof she rang her manager and her manager was on loudspeaker and told her not to give me back the money I said can you ring the lady that I was speaking to yesterday and ask her what did I pay for the course that I asked her she said no, she cannot as she is a new worker. She does not want to upset her. She did not want to give me my money back. I had to call the cops and get the cops to come down and solve this she end up giving me my money back and I told the cops that I would never want to use the salon again as the cops looked at the video where they were constantly laughing she is the manager of the so-called store turned around and told her worker which was there with her boyfriend, is your boyfriend still with you get him to remove her from the store which they did not ask me to leave the store. I just said I am not happy to give $130 for a level four, which is only £7 a session, so how would that work out to be 130 dollers I've paid for 10 sessions she threatened me didn't ask me to leave the store made up a load of lies, but luckily I had it all on camera they could not get out of this. The cops turned up and got me my refund and showed them the video of her staff and her boyfriend, being aggressive, shutting locking the door and slamming in in my face and pulling the blinds down as they were laughing into my face, I have never seen an unprofessional, place or rude or people in my life. It is not a place that you would feel safe to go to by yourself or even with your partner. It is disgusting and even the cops told me I can see your point and it was not nice the way that they treated you. There is your money and we apologise not. Everybody is nice in this world the manager herself the cops made come down and give me cash as a refund and even the cops was disgusted at their behaviour. It is ridiculous. So I decided to go in about 2 months ago as I was getting ready for a vacation and wanted to have a base tan before leaving. Karissa was the first associate I met, she greeted me and asked what I was looking for so she could help. She asked questions do get an understanding of my goals with tanning.. She had extensive knowledge on the beds as well as the products to help me start my tanning journey. Each time I go on and she is working she checks how I'm doing and how things are going, she genuinely cares and wants to make sure you are happy. It is very hard to find staff that actually takes pride and have passion for what they do and I look forward to seeing Karissa when I tan. read more

The manager Paige, extremely disrespectful to her staff. These poor young girls run the salon in a well manner and still somehow get poorly treated by their manager. She needs to be replaced immediately!!!!!! I have been tanning here for quite sometime and to hear the manager also talk poorly on Waukegan is quite upsetting! Super clean, reasonable prices. Friendly & helpful staff! All the gals that work their are really sweet and cheerful and take time to help you find products and tanning packages that suit your needs. Great beds, great results, but Ive never come here to a well-cleaned bed. Lazily wiped down at best. ALWAYS Have to use the one towel provided to Finish cleaning the beds as best I can, as the last persons sweat and lotion oils are simply mixed into the liquid cleaner and most of it is left behind All over the beds. The edges (where the legs hang off) rarely even get THAT treatment. Dried, crustified residue there 75-% of the time. -Disgusting. Long-Dark-haired girl could be MUCH friendlier as well. Short/Snoody every time I visit. Makes me feel like I should be apologizing for Bothering her while she's Working. Smh. The other girls are great in comparison, at least they TRY to smile. Wish the sanitation and staff interaction was as good as the results of the beds are. Well. The beds that all the fans and lights are working in at least. read more

lovely, friendly staff and clean tanning beds with generous amount of room to prep beforehand. there's body spray, body lotion, wipes, mints etc on a little stand which is cool to provide esp. on a day like today when i forgot to bring my own lotion. i actually have never been to any tanning salon before, and i had a bunch of questions my first time here but the employee answered them very kindly without making me feel clueless. they have deals every day of the week, i'm currently doing the 5 tans for $20 package! i'm sold and don't find any need to try a new salon in the future, 5 outta 5 stars! read more

I'd put zero stars if possible. When I signed up with the membership, I was told that I'd have to sign back up after three months and it was a three month minimum. That's fine. August has hit, I assumed that I wouldn't be charged and didn't plan on signing back up since medical issues has come up. I haven't been in about 1 1/2-2 months anyway because of the medical issues. I was charged the membership for this month and when I called to ask about it, I was told a refund wouldn't be issued and I'd have to come in to sign a cancellation form. Once there and signing the form, I was told by another worker in a very unprofessional tone that I wouldn't be allowed to tan after signing the cancellation form regardless that I've already been charged $40 for the month. She was rude and unprofessional. I must say that they're also overpriced as well as very unprofessional. They charge double the price of lotions compared to Amazon, so if you need lotions, go online. They should also retrain their employees to have better customer service and stay off their phones while customers are in the store. 0/10 do not recommend. Definitely will not be going back to this place. read more

Bought the Yelp deal they had for $50 for $100 worth of services. Went to the salon to buy a package and was told that the deal is only good for full price single tans. This is not what the terms say. Would not have purchased had the terms stated this. Very disappointed they operate this way as I enjoy the salon. read more
