Loved getting my hair done at Glamtique! I last minute needed someone else to handle my hair for a wedding we were going to & am so glad that Glamtique had the availability. Being able to book online is such a life saver. I originally booked a blowout, but my stylist looked at my hair and decided that since it was just washed the night before, it'd be better to not re-wash & just style & pivoted the entire appointment. MAJOR points for that one because my hair never holds the style. The shop vibe is so friendly & you can tell that everyone there is actually enjoying their work - even super early on a Saturday morning & I feel like that says a lot. I wanted to like this salon. I enjoyed the stylist and the shop was cute. That's about all I can say that I liked. I am getting married next year and I was trying to find a salon closer to my house to make sure that my hair was perfect. After my session I noticed that the highlights were horrible. There were lines of color making it impossible to wear my hair any other way then how it was styled by her. I emailed asking to get this fixed and she agreed! Thank god right?! No. When I went back I spent a few hours sitting in the chair and by the time I got home my hair was fried. My hair was ruined, gummy, knotted and falling out. I was devastated. Months later my hair is still terrible and I've spent more money on hair masks and conditioner trying to make it look nice than I did on the color service itself. This is the only place I'll visit for my hair now! All of their staff are incredibly friendly and professional and really know their stuff. I generally go in with a picture of what I'm looking for from a color and cut perspective and I'm never disappointed. They also offer waxing services, spray tanning, facials, blow outs, dry styles and a boutique of fashionable and fun clothes and accessories to purchase. They carry Amika hair products (which are amazing) and also have travel sized products too. I take both of my kids (4 and 2) here for haircuts as well. My daughter loves going there to get the gold sparkles in her hair when they are done. It's a really great salon and boutique with wonderful staff. Highly recommend giving them a try! read more

I was really disappointed by this salon. I had my make-up done here. Although, I could have done my make-up myself. I paid $65 to get make up and lashes done and got home just to fix it. The make up was really light but the lashes were heavy. I showed her a picture of a previous make-up job (that was done on my face) And the end result was very different. No mascara was put on, lips weren't lined, eyebrows weren't touched. Not a reliable place if you want to leave there feeling great about make up application. Maybe they specialize in other things like hair cuts and colors, etc. Staff seemed friendly, they definitely have their regulars which was obvious by the chatter - a good sign. I should have listened to my friend who told me about their facial service and how it was so bad but I still went ahead because I had an event the next day and needed to get a facial urgentlySuper disappointed by their Aesthetician Danielle. Very unprofessional of her to cut short a facial just for her private appointment elsewhere. I called and confirmed before starting and she was okay to take me in at but when I arrived after driving 30 mins she said that she needs to cut short the service because she has to elsewhere and that she can reschedule if needed. only if this was communicated to me before I started it would have saved me both time and gas!!!Never ever going to this place again!!! read more

I love Glamtique salon. It is quite a nice little Beauty salon/boutique clothing store. The clothing is fun and reasonably priced, and the jewelry is super cute and creative. I must say, however, that the real gem at this hair salon is COSMINA! The salon was fortunate enough to nab her from Chicago. I first met her for a hair trial for my wedding. I came to her for a trial for my wedding hair after another salon botched my highlights. She recognized their error and was able to offer and execute a beautiful, conservative solution. She did an amazing job with my up do trial and, to my surprise and delight, my hair for my wedding was even more beautiful. Due to my time constraints, I unfortunately was not able to do a trial for my bridal. She didn't skip a beat and Created exactly the look I wanted....On her first try on my wedding day. I received countless compliments on her work. Other important notes: have very long hair. Most stylists can't quite handle it, and just want to hack it off or just can't seem to layer it in a way that actually looks good. Cosmina again was nonplussed and gave me probably my favorite hair cut in recent memory. Same for my mother's hair. In my four times of working with Cosmina, she has shown exceptional kindness and forethought She shows an exceptional amount of care for her clients and she is genuinely a pleasure to work with. I went for a haircut today and I have some mixed feelings about my experience. I just had a trim and shaped up the layers in my hair. I do love the cut and my hair feels so much better. What I didn't like was how quiet my stylist was. After asking how I wanted my hair cut the only other time she spoke was to tell me how to move my head. It just felt so uncomfortable, I don't need constant talking while at a salon but a little small talk can go a long way. While the cut was good I think I'll try out other salons before/if I go back. read more

I can't comment on this place as a blowdry bar, as that's not the service I had. I found Glamtique based on the good reviews on Yelp, and made an appointment for a cut and balayage. I have ashy blonde balayage, and I noticed that no toner was used or offered on my hair. Once I got home, I looked at the underside of my hair and realized that there were several orange-y streaks (from the color not being on the hair long enough/not developed). As I combed the top near my part, I saw dotted marks along the part line from using too much color on the brush. It was bad enough that I didn't trust them to fix it, so I had to pay another $150 at a higher end salon to fix it - toner alone could not cover it as the color was not properly lifted. And even now the orange-y streaks throughout are not 100% gone and can only be fixed once it grows out more. The owner who did my hair was nice enough and the environment is good (hence the 2 stars), but I would caution going here for color. Perhaps they are out of practice since they just started offering these services, but for the price I paid they definitely need improvement and training. read more

I had my hair trimmed and dyed back in February. My hair was already fairly light on the ends and my roots were virgin hair. My appointment began at noon, and i didnt leave until 6pm. 6 hours of bleaching and toning my hair, with a fast trim blowdry and curling at the end. With my hair being processed for SoOoOoO many hours with bleach they pushed my hair WAY past its limits. Pre appointment i had minimal fallout when i would brush my hair and shower. 10 months later, still to this day i have CLUMPS of hair after every shower, brushing my hair, or even just running my fingers through it. My hair which i have not touched with dye since then, has received several olaplex treatments and deep conditioning treatments. And still, i am losing hair like i never have in my life. I am beyond disappointed to have payed $300 (SERIOUSLY? You bleached my hair and toned it, why tf is THAT much????) to have fried helpless hair. I seriously just want to cry that my healthy hair was so brutally slaughtered to death in this salon. And by the way, my hair looked so great under all the led lights and flash but when i got home it looked nothing like the reference photo and it was brassy. I specifically asked for ASHY ICE blonde with SHADOWED ROOT. What they gave me was warm toned blonde and no shadowed root .. read more

Sadly the owner, Hillary, operates her salon similar to a sorority house rather than a professional business. Visited a few times for blow dry styles. Although the stylist, Donielle, did a nice job the owner, Hilary, was beyond childish, egotistical, curt and inappropriate. During one visit Hilary non stopped whined, yes whined, that her wedge shoe broke. During another visit she continuously talked about herself to pretty much anyone who would listen. And finally, during my last visit she whined, yes once again whined, that she was hungry and wanted a staff member to bring her food. Being a woman in business myself, I was horrified by her behavior and cannot support a business with such poorly behaved management. read more

Hillary is a great example of a woman, owning her own business, raising young children, and showing others that you can pursue your dreams in that regard. Hillary and her staff also donate their time and services to local non for profit organizations. Hillary and her staff have always been professional, yet fun when I have been there. I admire how much attention they pay to their customers and how they continue to offer more services to their menu to accommodate their customers. This past summer I made an airbrush appointment with Glamtique. The lady on the phone was very nice and was able to fit me in the afternoon of the wedding I was attending. When I arrived, the make-up artist looked at me and told me that she didn't think I'd be as dark skinned as I am (Hispanic) and only brought supplies for a lighter complexion. I was extremely furious b/c I didn't have time to book anywhere else. A basic intake of "how would you describe your skin color" should've been taken either when I made the appointment or when they confirmed the appointment. They didn't offer me any discounted services or anything to correct their mistake, nor did the make-up artist offer to run home to get the correct color. Embarrassed with other customers listening in on the conversation, I left in disbelief. I was literally turned down service b/c of the color of my skin. I hope this business learned their lesson on the importance of taking basic intake information rather than judging someone's skin color by the way they sound on the phone. read more
