Caribbean Plants and Produce

This place is wonderful! It's a bit of a drive, but on a weekend the scenic and serene ride out…read moremade it absolutely worth it. From the moment my husband and I walked in, the staff was welcoming and informative -- they shared some intro facts about the place and gave us the space to explore at our own pace since it was our first visit. The orchid greenhouse alone is worth the trip. It's massive, filled with orchids in every size and color imaginable, and the prices are very reasonable for the full, vibrant blooms they offer. So beautiful in there! Beyond the orchids, they carry a nice variety of tropical fruit trees and a wide selection of outdoor plants for purchase -- plenty to browse and bring home. The woman at the checkout counter was a standout, even though I didn't catch her name. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing details about all the fresh produce and the local farmers she sources it from. Everything was organic and fresh, and they even carry fresh eggs -- chicken, quail, and goose. How cool is that? We picked up tomatoes, garlic, peppers, and onions, along with some locally sourced tropical juices. We went with the soursop and tamarind, and they were absolutely refreshing and delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next trip -- I've got my eye on some orchids, more fresh produce, and maybe a couple of outdoor plants to take home.

I'm so glad I found one that is open everyday and basically all day! They mentioned that following their Facebook page provides the most updated information. They actually post everyday about what is available. They also seems to have pretty comparable pricing to other farms and right now, they are selling a bunch of varieties of mangos for only $2.99 per pound. Some farms are selling them for $6-7 a pound so this is a steal! They have different farms that bring produce over to them to sell, so you know you are still getting farm fresh produce and fruits! We went on a weekend and they still had a good selection of items around noon, but it recommended to go by 8-10am if you want to get the first pick of the day.

I am giving Sanctuary Gardens one star only because zero stars is not an option…read more Sanctuary Gardens designed and installed landscaping around my pool and hardscape area. We did not request the specific plant species or placement. We relied on Sanctuary Gardens as the landscape professionals to select appropriate plants and locations. They selected and installed large bird of paradise plants extremely close to my pool deck, pavers, coping, lighting, and related hardscape. The plants were installed only approximately 17 months ago, and the problems began approximately 13 months after installation. These are not root issues that developed over many years. The roots lifted and distorted pavers, created uneven walking surfaces and potential trip hazards, and became entangled with my landscape-lighting wiring. I am also concerned about potential future damage to pool-related plumbing, electrical components, coping, and below-grade infrastructure. I made repeated efforts to have Sanctuary Gardens address the problem, including warranty-related requests, insurance-related communications, and formal communications through legal counsel under Florida's Chapter 558 construction defect process. In my experience, Sanctuary Gardens has ignored the communications, denied responsibility, failed to resolve the issue, and failed to provide requested information through the formal process. They seem to have an excuse for why every issue is supposedly not covered. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend Sanctuary Gardens. Homeowners should proceed with extreme caution, especially for landscaping near pools, pavers, coping, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, or hardscape.

Incredible nursery, I bought all my rare palms from here. I love this place. I will definitely…read morebe back
