Order took about 10 minutes. Jamaican trinkets were on sale in a glass case. Bob Marley earrings, etc. Huge airbrush mural on the wall was nice. *Some quiet reggae music would have added to the ambiance. I took my food home and split the 2 orders 3 ways with my 2 teenagers. The CHICKEN was very tender, almost too tender. Nice flavor. Dryer than I expected. Jerk flavor was preferred, but curry was also good. (Better cold) COLE SLAW was great with a fresh citrus taste. The RICE was thick and pasty like oatmeal, and had some fruits in it. It took up half the tray, and most of it landed in the trash. Even The donut or CARNIVAL, is interesting, as were the plantains. A bit salty for my personal taste but the birria flavors were on point. I also tried one of my friend's pork birria dumplings and that was so yummy. Great texture and very saucy. Fufu is a plain tasting dough with mashed potato/mochi like texture. I tried it with egusi (melon seed) soup. The soup was more like a sauce and it was on the bitter side with a strong earthy seedy taste and loads of texture from finely minced veggies. If you don't like bitter foods, I'd avoid egusi. What you have to try is the chicken quarter and plantains with chili oil (not pictured). That was heavenly. Phenomenal flavor with a delicious spicy oil to go with. The fried plantains were soft, mushy and ultra sweet. I loved it, though it could be firmer. Excited to come back for other dishes.

I finally made it over there with some friends recently and really enjoyed our food from Street Chef Shaw! City Built is open on Mondays, but they only do bar service and Street Chef Shaw provides all the food. You can order to go or for dine in at City Built. The QR code at each table is specific for that spot, and they'll bring it right to you when it's ready if you're dining in. I was super hungry, so I got the chicken tikka birria burrito and a cheese quesadilla, and Nate got one of the features, a spicy Jamaican chicken sandwich. The food came to our table really quickly! The cheese quesadilla was very good, super cheesy and delicious. I liked dipping it in the consomme that came with the burrito. The chicken in the sandwich was super crispy and had a bit of heat.
