Crab rangoons aren't made with a cheap thin wonton, medium pad Thai with beef always has the perfect mix of kick and flavor, and their curry Pad Thai is even better if you're into that. Pad see ew is also solid - broccoli is always overbearing at some places, but done well here. Also can't go wrong with any of their fried rice combinations. Amazing. Bangkok Chef is an amazing family owned restaurant that sells Thai food. I have gotten this many times and every time the lady who works there is so sweet. Her children are adorable and it's always so nice to see them. This is a cute little restaurant with AMAZING FOOD. This is by far my favorite takeout dinner ever. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Also another thing to add is they are truly so kind, for example one time they added something into my fried rice that was supposed to go into something else. I think it was pineapple anyway she was so kind and because of the mix up she let me keep that container of fried rice and she gave me another one for free. I have been here 15+ times since I work across the way from this restaurant. Their basil fried rice and pad see ew are amazing, plentiful, and great value! It feeds me for two delicious meals. If you don't like spice, definitely get mild as even mild plus or the next level up is quite spicy. I do not like their pad Thai, but haven't found anywhere in GR that I find good! Inside is clean and they do offer lunch hour service. They are family owned and so kind and pleasant. We got crab Rangoon which were the best I've had to date! the drunken noodles with beef (mild + which tasted more like a medium) was absolutely delicious!! and the curry fried rice (medium) and I am not sure if they messed up or what because if that was medium I'd hate to know what the extra spicy is. I couldn't even eat it unfortunately and my husband who loves spicy food couldn't eat more than a few bites either. He said he was in pain. We ended up having to throw the whole thing out which was disappointing. But I would definitely go back and only get mild. read more

So Good and very impressive for Thai food in Caledonia. I ordered the FR2, Chefs Special Fried Rice with Chicken to go. I had them remove the pineapple and add garlic sauce and fresh tomatoes. Per the other reviews, I only tried the Mild spice. It was very mild and I will try the Mild + next time. It was DELICIOUS though!!! I also ordered the crab Rangoon. They were very tasty as well. So I've been here a few times passing through. Lots of carry out happening. The service is amazing. Quick, polite, and sincere. When I order something without an ingredient, they always check to make sure if it's an allergy. I love the vegetable curry here, and the tofu is the best ever. I just want a big plate of tofu! I'm not a vegetarian, but I can't get away from their tofu! Lunch specials come with soup of the day when you dine-in. Great little family owned place. If I lived in MI, I'd be here a lot. Our three kids (ages 7-12) beg us to eat at this restaurant every time we drive through Caledonia. The service is exceptional, and the food is fast and always fresh (they make their own sauces, in-house, fresh each day). We end up eating here a few times a month, and between the five in our family, we've tried and would absolutely recommend several dishes... My favorites are the curry dishes. The red curry (gang ped...super-flavorful), green curry (with fresh basil...AWESOME), and masaman curry are my go-to's. My husband loves the peanut curry and crab rangoon. Although our younger kids love a little spice and will split with what the grown-ups are eating (the portions are huge...there's more than enough), our daughter prefers things on the milder side. She loves Bangkok Chef's Sesame Chicken, Pad Thai noodles, Pad Pak, or the Chef's Special Fried Rice (think Chinese fried rice with pineapple). The great thing is that, like a Chinese restaurant, you can choose your own protein and customize the veggies that come in your meal.
