Affordable memberships considering the area. I have friends who have been members for years and still enjoy it. The golf course is really solid. They have a great mixture of holes. A couple of drivable par 4s and all the par 5s are reachable from certain tees. Two tough par 3s on the back that can make or break a round. Green surrounds are tough if you're in the wrong spot. The greens themselves are always in fantastic shape. They are severely sloped at times, so you must be accurate with your approach shots. I couldn't find the golf course architect on their website, but they did a good job considering the hilly topography and small footprint of the property. But I can also see one hitting pretty much the exact same shots every time no matter what tee box you're playing. Favorite hole: Par 5 12th, except for the yellow range balls that litter the left side. Downhill the entire way. Range on the left, trees and then the 18th hole on the right. Reachable for many with usually a blind-ish to a peninsula green with water right and long. The very tall red stake frames the front right of the green. Very cool hole before the brutally tough par 3 13th. The driving range is good and they have really nice Titleist practice balls to hit. The short game area is outstanding. I could spend hours out there with a few wedges. They have two small-ish putting greens on either side of the clubhouse. The restaurant is a great space and they have an area for bigger events. The food and service are both good too. Sadly, I have not enjoyed the pool area. Just a solid club overall. The members I have interacted with have all been great. I have had and heard somewhat mixed interactions with the people that run the place, but nothing bad enough to write about here.

The driving range is spaced to have every other turf available, and signs everywhere for social distancing. Two people may share a cart if they are in the same household. Checkin process was smooth. Morning tee time cost me $83 plus $7 for small bucket. They have a small range with mats to hit off of. One of the best things about this course is that they let you ride the cart to your car. So leave your bag in the car if you decide to ride and pick it up after check in. The club house has a the usual stuff, nothing fancy about it. Restaurant is decent as well with burgers, hot dogs and variety of snacks and sports drinks. Some alcohol selection as well. The course itself is not difficult from the white tees. I almost drove the green on a couple of par 4s from the white tee. Fairways and bunkers are well maintained. We had a good time on the course. Walking up to the main entrance, it is beautiful with large doors and once you enter, the areas are kept so clean! The staff walking around greet you and as you walk through the building, it leads you to the back golf course! It is huge and veryyyy well kept. I am sure members pay a lot of money so that it should be a given that the county club is well kept but either way, they definitely hold their end of the bargain. We stopped by the bar to grab a drink and the drink i got was a cucumber, elderflower martini and it was so refreshing for a hot sunny day!

Very well maintained driving range. They have two putting greens and also a chipping area. Fairways and green are nicely maintained. It's a long course with some terrain. Carts are included with the greens fees. I think carts are mandatory here. They have some holes that are cart path only. This is definitely one of the expensive courses in the area. You can pay half off after 2 pm tee. Morning tee times are crazy expensive. I go here once every six months. Restrooms are clean as well. They have a nice bar and restaurant area to watch sports. It's kinda big with indoor/outdoor setup. They also have two shower areas.

Absolutely love the fairways and rough ain't bad either. Love the nice chunk of fairway that you can take out if you hit your irons well. We make sure we fill our divots after every shot. Bunkers are nicely maintained with soft sand as well. The drainage system is one of the best in the area. It had rained over night and until our tee time, but the course did not feel like it had rained. Kudos to the course architect and grounds keepers for doing a great job. Greens were so true to the speed of hour putt. Neither too fast nor too slow. Overall, it was a great day to play this course.

I met a few buddies at Needwood a couple weekends ago for morning 7:15am round. It was a beautiful…read moremorning to be out golfing (but isn't every morning)! The check in process for the round was quick and easy - we paid about $85 a piece for 18 holes + the cart. We checked in with the start a few minutes before our tee time and we were sent along on our way to the first tee. Got to like an on time start. Prior to our first tee, we had some time to warmup on their practice putting and chipping greens. They have one green that allows putting and chipping and a second smaller green closer to the clubhouse that is putting only. I wouldn't say either green is large enough for a full practice session with multiple people using them but for a few swings to prep before an early round they worked great. The course itself was in solid condition - the fairways and greens were even and well kept. The level of difficulty was solid for a group of intermediate golfers. And the cart paths were well kept and pretty easy to follow. Overall, I'm not sure the course warrants an $85 price tag - I've played at similar quality of courses for half the price but maybe that's what I get for booking at a peak time on a Saturday. If I return (which I would) I'd book an evening round and enjoy the evening rates which seemed to be in the $40 range; I think that's more on par with the quality of the course and it's amenities.

I played Hampshire Greens this past Saturday for the first time and throughly enjoyed it! I had a…read moretwilight tee time (5pm) and only paid $37 for 18 holes + cart! The driving range is $7 for a bucket of 40 balls. There aren't any covered bays and they don't have TopTracer tech, but has everything else you need to practice every club in your bag. I was hitting off a mat this particular day, but they do have turf that wasn't available when I went. The course itself is beautiful and blends in perfectly with the surrounding woodlands and neighborhood. While the hole distances might look intimidating, most of the holes had wide fairways creating a pretty forgiving round for most handicaps. I'm not sure what things look like during busy hours, but for a Saturday with nice weather the pace of play was the best I've seen in the region in a while! At no time did we feel rushed or that the groups in head of us were taking too long. The staff were great! Everyone from the Starter to the Cook were friendly and helpful, so no complaints in that regard. Food price was about on par with other muni's in the area - $11 for a beer and a hotdog. 5/5 experience and will definitely be back for another twilight round before the season is over.
