I am amending a recent review that I left. I left McLean's in great stress and went to a different…read moreplace and was told some very bad things. I chose to believe them. Big mistake. I've been going to McLean since he opened and I loved going there and all his staff. They've never failed me. So I'm taking back the bad rating I left and I'm apologizing. And I'm telling you people that McClain is the way to go. He is thorough and he's amazing

Short story is that I paid $160 for a diagnosis, the "Sales Adviser" (how about "service" rather…read morethan "sales") recommended something for $2k that was unnecessary - no thanks - problem not resolved, and wanted another $100 for further diagnosis - no thanks. The long story is engine misfiring, paid $160 for diagnosis. Kink in the vacuum hose (couldn't have taken too long to spot), but "Sales Advisor" recommends I also replace all ignition coils for $2k. What? Huh? Are they bad? They don't know, they only checked one of them and it was fine, but what's $2k, right? No thanks, I'll pass on that "sale". Replaced vacuum hose for another $300. But one cylinder is still misfiring. They want another $100 for further diagnosis. I expected that the $160 (not a cheap diagnosis price) would cover a full diagnosis, not a first pass diagnosis. I declined. I'd rather take my car to a place that does what is agreed upon and doesn't have a "Sales Adviser" who tries to sell me unnecessary things.

Today my 84 year old aunt purchased a car because someone had hit and totaled her parked car. The…read moreinsurance company had given her replacement cost to purchase another vehicle and Hershey Motors exceeded all our expectations. The salesperson Ron was very professional and courteous helping her with the rental return, warranty information and insurance coverage for the new vehicle. I would highly recommend Hershey motors to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

My wife and I recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from Hershey Motors. The salesperson was…read moregood to deal with and we were pleased with the deal. We checked the jeep out closely and found the undercarriage to be very clean. We live about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. After being parked from the drive home a while, we noticed oil on they pavement under the jeep. I questioned the leak with the manager who told me they had it 4 months and he even drove it but no one every saw an oil leak. They had even serviced it. Someone had clearly done a great job of cleaning the undercarriage. Thankfully we have a Jeep dealer not to far who fixed us up, under factory warranty no less and gave us a loanerfor the week they had it. Turns out, rear main seal had been replaced and the oil pan was not installed correctly causing they leak. Plus the oil cooler was leaking. 2 oil leaks Hershey claims they never saw. To top it off, they were supposed to remove the KC lights from the jeep we traded and mail them to us. It was in writing and signed. They lights sat in a box no less then 10 days and when I inquired the manager argued I was supposed to pick them up. I sent the dealer a photo of the signed paper stating the lights would be mailed and received them the next day. As a service technician myself, I know all about customer service. Hershey motors clearly does not know anything about customer service. I also would advise against letting them ever work on a vehicle as they can't even find a obvious oil leak.
