Short story is that I paid $160 for a diagnosis, the "Sales Adviser" (how about "service" rather…read morethan "sales") recommended something for $2k that was unnecessary - no thanks - problem not resolved, and wanted another $100 for further diagnosis - no thanks. The long story is engine misfiring, paid $160 for diagnosis. Kink in the vacuum hose (couldn't have taken too long to spot), but "Sales Advisor" recommends I also replace all ignition coils for $2k. What? Huh? Are they bad? They don't know, they only checked one of them and it was fine, but what's $2k, right? No thanks, I'll pass on that "sale". Replaced vacuum hose for another $300. But one cylinder is still misfiring. They want another $100 for further diagnosis. I expected that the $160 (not a cheap diagnosis price) would cover a full diagnosis, not a first pass diagnosis. I declined. I'd rather take my car to a place that does what is agreed upon and doesn't have a "Sales Adviser" who tries to sell me unnecessary things.

They are extremely honest and don't suggest work unless it is absolutely necessary. Mark the owner is the nicest guy. My daughters old Honda had a major issue. After they quoted the price for the repair, they've had to put in many many hours of additional work and Marc did not charge a dime more. He is a great guy and isn't looking to do anything other than serve his customers well and earn their business for the long-term. I couldn't be happier with their work and the trust I have in them. I'm not taking my car to the dealership for oil changes or inspections ever again. Every time I go to the dealership they're suggesting that the brakes need to be redone For $800. Predatory "free inspection" practices. Came in for an oil change and was presented with $2,800 in…read morerecommended services, including multiple fluid flushes. The only "diagnostic" provided was a photo of the fluids on a color comparison card, no actual test results of any kind. I went home and tested the coolant and brake fluid myself. Both were perfectly fine. The brake fluid they recommended flushing had been done less than 2 years prior and was clearly documented on CARFAX, the same CARFAX they told me they use to generate recommendations. That's the problem. When I left a negative Google review, the shop called me and confirmed that services are recommended based on time, mileage, and whether they appear on CARFAX, not actual fluid condition. A color card is not a diagnostic tool. It's cover. Their process is designed to maximize recommendations, not accuracy. Nothing in it is designed to tell them a service isn't needed. If your shop is recommending fluid flushes based on mileage and a color card, find a new shop.
