We purchased Mavis All Season tires that carried a 60,000-65,000 mile warranty. After only one year and approximately 11,000 miles, the tires were already nearly worn out. Before contacting Mavis about the warranty, we had the alignment checked independently just one week prior to our visit, and it was verified to be within spec. The original installation also included computer balancing and alignment. At no point was any evidence provided showing that another alignment was necessary. Locally, I worked with Neil, the store manager, for nearly two weeks trying to resolve the issue. Over the course of roughly six calls, I was repeatedly promised a callback that never happened. Eventually, I gave up and contacted corporate directly. Corporate ultimately offered a prorated adjustment, but the process felt misleading. Although they advertised roughly an 80% discount, the replacement tires were priced significantly higher than what I originally paid. In addition, I was required to pay for tire disposal, balancing, and another computer alignment despite the alignment already being verified. In the end, the "warranty" provided very little actual value, as my final cost was nearly the same as the original purchase price. Corporate representative Crystal repeatedly responded with "that is our process," while Neil incorrectly claimed the original alignment had never been performed -- something I later confirmed was false by reviewing my invoice. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, dishonest, and disappointing. I would strongly reconsider purchasing tires or relying on warranty coverage from Mavis in the future.

After ANOTHER week of waiting for a phone call, we AGAIN called them on Friday now (11 days after dropping our vehicle off) for them to tell us it was ready... no one bothered to contact us or let us know the vehicle was ready. They then proceeded to tell us the cost was now $200 MORE than they initially stated. Cleary, we were a bit irritated at this point and curious as to why we were not contacted and made aware that this was now going to be an additional $200. My husband called them back to ask why the cost was significantly higher than we were told and what all had to be done for it to increase to that extent and their "professional" answer to this UNDERSTANDABLE question was, "well, we can charge you MORE if you'd like." Absolutely ZERO customer service, ZERO professionalism and we will NOT be returning. We will also make sure it is known to friends and family that the quality of professionalism at this business is close to none. In no way, shape or form was my husband ever RUDE or LOUD with any of the gentleman in the office on the phone and I am highly disappointed a business in our town treats their customers in this fashion.

I ended up being stuck on the side of the road because the radiator hoses were not installed properly and then I had antifreeze all of the engine bay of my jeep and all over the road. I was missing the install clips and the electrical cover and with the jeep system not being reset the dash lit up with dash lights I had to look up in my manual while I waited for help.

Recently, my son purchased a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 pickup from this business. I could not be more happy with the service be received. JSI staff worked very hard to bring the truck up to our expectation. They put a lot of time, effort and money into fixing it right. The truck ran rough the first time we drove it and stalled on acceleration. These guys dig deep and figured out the cause of the problem. I know they had to lift the bed to get into the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. They did a lot of other work to the motor. They even found a rusted brake line during inspection and fixed it. They could have easily passed it off and let it become our problem later. These guys told me that they take their reputation seriously and that vehicles leaving their lot have to be right. I could tell they took pride and integrity in their job. They were very accommodating of my busy schedule and they helped my son learn some things about car buying. Overall, this was a top notch buying experience!. I highly recommend them. The shop was busy too, the entire time I was there. Don't let the simplistic look and the run down appearance of their real estate fool you. These guys have their heads under cars all day long. They can do things I can't!

We were quoted a couple of thousand dollars at other chain places to have the work done, and most just wanted to sell us an extended warranty. Deer Lake Subaru quoted a price almost $1,500 less than the next cheapest price. In addition the folks were completely amazing. They were super friendly and had the work competed and the car back days ahead of schedule. Very happy with the entire experience. We later returned and purchased our own Subaru Forester and had an amazing experience as well and the car has been great. After our most recent visit, we decided it was time to take our business elsewhere. The issue wasn't that she was unable to provide the service we needed--we understand that not every notary can handle every situation. The problem was the unnecessarily rude and dismissive way she communicated that to us. A simple, courteous explanation would have been perfectly acceptable. After three similar experiences spanning many years, it's clear this wasn't just an isolated bad day. Perhaps this business has enough customers that losing a few doesn't matter, but treating people with basic courtesy should still matter. We won't be returning.
